  1. So via the medium of eBay, Drifter and I found an interesting bundle of 40k minis. One of those, I caved and bought, because I thought she was really interesting. Image - http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/ODAwWDgwMA==/z/t9YAAOSwPcVVrff2/$_57.JPG (Linked for bewbage) I picked up the Mechanic Female Adept Tech Priest (With Axe), because... What the hey. She was listed as 48mm, but I don't think that's quite right, though it's possible she's been measured differently. I dunno. She's certainly a little on the large side (and due to her sculpt, she is very tall), but I could probably give he
  2. Finished this just now. No light for the photo box, so this was taken on the game-board: Edit: Touched up, and proper photo. Flagellant head, techno priest body, and I believe.. the weapon was made from a random chainsword, and a techno priest staff. 'Blind Desperado.'
  3. Long time, no see. This fellow has been done for a while, but had no base. Also made up from flagellants and techno priests. The flamer, and backpack are probably taken from some chaos marine. The fire 'bit' is straw from an ear-pin.: "Speak no evil. (And burn the heretics, of course!)"
  4. Another set of minis painted as a learning session for the girlfriend. Basing isn't done.:
  5. Okay, now I am lost with regards to what weapon bits have been used, but body, and one arm, is flagellant, Warhammer fantasy. Head and one arm are from Techno priests, 40k. Cape with pocket and grenade is from imperial guardsmen, 40k. A space marine hand.. Noticed a few errors and nitpicks here and there when taking the pictures, but for the tabletop; I think it will do fine. Nothing I can't brush up on later. :) As the others, he's been painted with single colors, then washed with a darker version of said color. "Where we are going, we need no eyes to see.."
  6. Second character pieced together from the bits pile. Flagellants and techno priest parts. Sword.. might be lizard men bit. Not happy with the osl here, but it's for the tabletop, so I might just flesh it out later. :)
  7. This fellow has been pieced together by random bits in the bits pile. Body is a techno priest from Warhammer 40k. Head is from the flagellant pack for Warhammer Fantasy. I believe the weapon is from a Chaos Marine. Cloak, I don't know. Lizard men regiment maybe? Skull pile is from Gorgotha, Warzone accessories.
  8. Here we have some Realm of Chaos figures that have recently been released from the Purgatory of a storage case and revived. These were some of the early figures I got. Bloodletters of Khorne from the original Slaves to Darkness volume of Realm of Chaos. Painted back in the day and touched up several times over the years. Pulled out of a storage case a couple of weeks ago to be rebased and lightly touched up again. The middle guy looks a bit odd in the front-on photo, but the Conga-line profile shot helps him to make more sense. These early figures might not have been the greatest o
  9. Painted for the tabletop, this will be the leader of my Redemtionists in Necromunda. For the uninitiated; They are basically religious fanatics, who believe all sinners must burn away their sins. And anyone who isn't a redemtionist is a sinner. They go around burning anything and anyone they think might be impure. And here is a closeup of his pretty face. I love this miniature. :D
  10. Spent the last few days messing around with my Necromunda gangs. First to finish upgrade is the Enforcers. Bit of paint, new bits, and fully magnetized. Which means f.ex. they can go from Sniper: To Riot Control: Leader: Heavy: Marksman 2: Breach and entry: The cavalry. Judge, Jury and Executioner:
  11. Sculpting a little coat, and giving my Enforcer Judge some long awaited upgrades:
  12. I noticed some 40k stuff posted here, and wanted to show off these conversions I made from amazing bits; previously created by Epoch Studios. The miniatures below are used in our Necromunda games, and in Tyranid Attack. An older board game release:
  13. These will be Spyrers in my Necromunda campaigns. :)
  14. These will be used as Hybrid Genestealers in the Genestealer Cults. Really nice miniatures all around. :)
  15. Of course, I had to continue on the Fantasy Gladiators project. First we have some converted Orcs, using Warhammer bits with Eastern Front Studio heads. The Scizore style fellow (inspired by Warcraft's Kargath Bladefist) uses a Pathfinder Bones Goblin spear or sword I had lying around, that fit perfectly. The teeny fellow is a Mantic Orcling who just seemed to fit in the armor style...and you know what they say about Goblins. The littler, the nastier.
  16. Disclaimer: I'm not trying to coordinate selling my army through this message board. I'm only trying to weigh pros and cons. I'm not playing Warhammer 40K anymore and I have well over 10K points of models. What I'm trying to figure out is if I should turn in all my GW metal minis for store credit at ReaperCon or sell it as an army? I have 150-200 metal Grey Knight minis, almost all of which are OOP. I was reading in the ReaperCon subforum thread on metal exchange and it was stated that the exchange rate was $5 store credit per ounce. Is that correct? And is there a limit to the store c
  17. Here is one of my earlier daemon prince conversions. The model is largely just repositioned with added detail scupted but the backpack heads are from Kroot Hounds, the head is from an old Epic titan, and the head piece is from an old Necromunda staff. I'm reasonably pleased with the paint job still, though I could do better now. Might eventually touch it up a bit.
  18. Here's an Illic Nightspear that I painted up to match a force of Exodites. Overall, I was rather happy with this mini- his pose is quite nice and the details came out well.
  19. Here are a few cultists I painted up for a client to match an Emperor's Children force (painted primarily in purple, black and green leopard print). He assembled all of the minis, and I was really thrilled with the inclusion of Escher Gangers from Necromunda. Anyway, here are the minis: And because I'd like to put him in here for reference, here is the daemon prince (so you can see how the scheme works on the rest of the force)

  21. Took about 5 to 6 hours including conversion time. Not my best but I really enjoyed doing this.
  22. This was painted a while back for a comp.
