The Housekeeper from Crooked Dice's Island Priests set. I think it's based on a British TV show but not one I'm familiar with. A nice lady with a pot of tea. The sculpt came with a hand holding a mug, but--being a chump--I lost it. The Bits Box delivered a backup hand, though. A cozy home with all the modern conveniences. (Stove, fridge, and washer/dryer set are from Bombshell's galley and rec room set; table and chairs from Eureka.) Left the burner on? No, just got it good and hot for the soup. Guests are coming over for tea and gossip! Featuring 50235, Edna, as the oldest and most cantankerous of the neighborhood gossips, a Pulp Figure detective with binoculars, and a young journalist from Cold War Minis.

Edna the Cat Lady, 50235, is a marvelously grumpy and slipshod old biddy. Look at that lopsided jumper, the drooping sock, that sour scowl! What a beautiful sculpt! And the kitties are great too. (One I gave to a friend and another I set aside for a freestanding kitty.) Thought she'd pair well with a Bob Murch Gangland Justice pulp sculpt from his The 16th Precinct set. He was advertised as the town drunk, but I elected to make him a full-blown derelict hobo. I took some wire cutters to his suit and hat to make a couple of tatters, and proceeded to gunge him up. This is not the wealthy, high-society side of Arkham. "Look here, what are you doing? I won't have it! Get away from there at once, before I call the police!" "uuuh, ma'am--I w's jush--" "Don't you ma'am ME! You smell of liquor! and worse! That horsemeat is for the precious kitties, not for you!" "Aw, it'sh a crool worl' ma'am, a crool worl'...an' I ain't had a bite to eat since y'strdy..." "Well! You've certainly managed to find more than enough to drink, at least! And shouldn;t you be ashamed, a big man like you sneaking around and frightening old ladies half to death! You're strong and healthy enough to be working..." "An' I bin looking, mish, only won't noboddady hire a tramp with no fixsh addresh." "Or a drinking habit, I'd wager!" I wanted to share this here for those of you not on the social media outlets. My daughter's latest project was the Crazy Cat Lady that I got her for Christmas. She painted the cats first which just amazed me because some of the detail she put on them was awesome. Once she was done and I could not get her to touch up anything else she wanted to base. I decided she would do it all except the super glue. So away she went with craft glue and basing materials. She has a few more things I got her for Christmas and then birthday is in less than two weeks and I have a couple more minis for then too. Should be a busy year if actually sit down and paint.

Presenting Edna, Craaaaazy Cat Lady! I had a lot of fun painting this mini, it's got some great details such as her crabby expression, the fluffy slippers, the rollers in her hair etc. I've been a bit self-indulgent here as I have immortalised my own cat twice in this mini (the one Edna is carrying & the one rolling on its back) & most of the others are cats I've known or looked after . The cats were very tricky to paint as they are so small - I had to paint them while they were still attached to their sprue. The tiled floor was created quite simply using air drying clay with grout lines etched into it. Thanks for looking, c&c's welcome!
