I'm working on Cassie the Gnome Sorceress (bones version) and she's coming along okay, but... Not quite where I want her. See, this image from the store is what I'm going for. And this is where I'm at now. There's a bit of a gap between these two... Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Please be brutal.

Here is my take on 77031 Cassie my Gnome Wizard. Cassie was painted last year but I have just finished the basing. As always comments or feedback welcome.

This is what I painted for Teskeria for the 2016 Secret Sophie exchange. She said she liked dragons and the colors purple and pink. I started with the green dragon hatchling, I wanted one that looked like it was attempting to fly, and this one seemed to be sitting up and paying attention. I built up a little cork hill for Cassie to be standing on, demonstrating with her staff and her arms thrust wide. The base has little hillocks covered in static grass. The bushes and flowers are real dried miniature plants that I pulled out of my dollhouse supplies. Both figures are removable for play. Hope you enjoy!

I hope I am doing this right. I tried to shrink the picture sizes so they weren't massive. Anyway. I was introduced to minis when I asked a gamer friend to teach me how to play D&D. He has thousands of minis. I bought some rats and beetles and he gave me tips on how to get started. I enjoyed that so I purchased some minis, paints, and brushes and started painting. Then I found the forums and I started reading the posts and following the WIP's to learn to get better. I checked out many of the "how to's" and started trying new methods. I think they have helped and I feel I am getting better. So, I am going to post some pictures starting with my earliest stuff (2 months ago) to present (finished last night.) I will post a few photos and make subsequent posts with the rest so I don't jam everything into one post. (If I am posting wrong, please give pointers!) Cassie is the last of the half dozen Reaper Bones I painted for the January Bones Beauty Pageant with the theme "little people." I had a batch of metal halfling figures I had been looking for an excuse to paint anyway, and I did them as well (Show Off threads to come). She was another figure I looked at and saw with eyes shut, concentrating. When I looked up D&D and Pathfinder gnomes I found references to jewel-colored hair, but also to jewel-colored skin. She gravitated towards a Drow-like coloration of blue-grey skin and white hair. I find her paint job a little rough; I worked fast to finish these by the Beauty Pageant deadline. One thing I did find time for was the little jug on her left hip; I painted it up like a Greek vase.

Well, I finished a mini for one of my Pathfinder characters after about 5 months of not painting. Maybe I'll try this one again after more practice. Or maybe not since between mini, weapon conversion and base It took 3 Bones minis to do it. Suggestions for improvement are welcome. See also my work in progress thread.

Continuing my latest photo session, all the non-pathfinder PC minis I've completed recently. I'm actually using Cassie as a stand in for Lini in our PACG sessions until Bones II arrives. Threw in a few familiars for fun, too.
