And while our crew from Part 1 is getting the food set up, the staff of the Wyvern's Head, the local tavern, is preparing refreshments. Friar Stone (brewing consultant and beer enthusiast) and Jock Jockson the Barkeep hoist some furnishings around. Kellerman the brewer starts delivering kegs. (Stonehaven Dwarf Brewer) A couple of the barmaids and tapsters, Poppy Cloverlocks and Mary Muggs, show up to help with the prep work. With the beer and cider ready and the cooks finishing up, we move some food to the bar area. A couple more waitstaff get ready for a busy night schlepping food and ale. (The blonde is from a Nolzur's 2-pack.) Our barkeeps are ready for the rush. And here's the whole jolly crew! (Jock is being as jolly as he gets here.) A round or two with the cooks and suppliers, and let the revelries begin! Good wishes and good feasting to all this harvest season! A few other angles.

Decided these two went together, with the grandmother figure maybe working in the innkeeper's inn, and painted them with the same colours. Quickie paint jobs for both. Not thrilled with the way the green turned out...

This guy was to experiment on achieving realistic light colors on a fairly smooth surface (the apron in this case). After several different tries I was happy with the result...then like normal he sat on the paint desk for months. So I decided to finish him to low tabletop level and wash him in ArmyPainters midtone shade which led to a big tied mark. But he is good enough for my sons toy box. C&C appreciated.

So I have been lurking for a long time, finlly getting around to posting something. I have been practising on bones, well because they are cheap. And because they require so much prep, the moold lines, resculpting noses, redoing details, I have been learning a lot. Anyway, here is my attempt at some townsfolk. I was practicing doing whites on the aprons, and faces on both of them. I need to work on my photography set-up, this is with my cell phone, and looks pretty blurry. C&C appreciated.

Think this is my last post for this last batch of photos, thanks for looking this week at all my stuff! I went in to painting my townsfolk with one goal, to use more colors. In some places I succeeded, others not so much. I ended up using a lot of glazing for the bigger cloth areas, I think I may need to hit it all with another coat of matte sealer now that I have seen how some of the pictures came out though. Pretty shiny here and there unfortunately. First up, the chorus shots: Then the individual cast photos... Thanks for hanging in there all week with me!

Another day, another bones. The innkeeper started out as a study in painting a darker red. After that, it was just a matter of picking some colors for the rest. One of his eyes was imperfectly cast but I didn't feel like fighting it. Once I got something reasonable for it I just made the other eye match, so he's looking a bit off to the side. There's probably a table of pesky adventurers over there that will end up starting a fight. A tiny WIP for anyone interested.

Here's another version of 77084:Townsfolk: Innkeeper. This time there's less dirt, but a lot more blood. He could be the town butcher, or doctor, or torturer — the possibilities aren't endless!

Next up in the series of Useful Potential Innocent Bystanders is this one — 77084:Townsfolk: Innkeeper. I wanted to make his apron and wash-cloth look disgustingly unhygienic, and I don't know that I've really achieved that, but I'm pretty happy with it nonetheless. The pockets and folds do make it look a bit like he's wearing a happysmileyface.

I'm great at procrastination. It's one of my best skills. But I finally finished all these minis which have been on my desk for a while. Mostly trying to get them out of the way so I can work on my diorama. First off, and proudest, The Jester! He's a conversion of the stonehaven gnome skeleton into a skeletal jester. It's a living doll that attached itself to one of the characters in our current campaign. Next we have a little crystal dragon. I took the spiretop drake and ice imp from the plastic WotC minis, and put them together to make it. The dragon is supposed to look like the Skylander Flashwing. And here's my Lysette, from the beauty pageant in October. Pretty pleased with her Gus the Innkeeper! Finally, Sir Forscale, the Green Knight! I painted him green and silver for Hubby. Those are his favorite colours Hope you enjoy them all
