Pictures cropped for nudity. For uncensored results, see here. Although I don't think Mariliths are poisonous, I decided to paint her with coral snake colors, which was a bit tricky to get right.

Here are a few new additions to my Bones monster collection: 77262 Vulture Demon. I was going for an ethereal look to these. I know the Vrock has been depicted in red and black in recent editions of the game, but I like these colors better. I painted each a little different so that the can be more easily differentiated when used in a game. 77260 Ape Demon. The Barlgura in D&D does not have wings, but they look too cool the remove. More subtle difference in coloring here. I thought about doing one in brown and one in black, but black so dull. 77117 Vandorendra, Snake Demon (I'm not sure why she gets a proper name and the other two don't... I also don't know why I did not take both front and back shots of her.) I painted the chest area as armored because I might use these in a game at a convention, and I never know what the ages of the players will be at those events. I'm not a prude; I like the human form, honest! There is another from this group that can be found over in the conversion thread.

This was one of my first conversions and it has sat unpainted for several years. but I wanted a tabletop gaming snake, and decided to go with a Boa Constrictor pattern. besides who needs 2 "type V" snake demons.

I finished up the Bones 1 KS "Bedeviled" set this week with the completion of Vandorendra, Snake Demon. I enjoyed the opportunity to experiment with a non-caucasian, yet realistic skin tone, (as opposed to the blue, red, and green I've done recently). Photo is linked due to nudity. As always, C & C welcome. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p0izIXXhPi4/VqX3ncfI2wI/AAAAAAAAHnM/tddsBCrewx0/s1600/IMG_6174.jpg

Okay! So I thought that ordering 7 Bones would hold me off for awhile since I've just gotten started, right? Oh, but I was wrong. So very wrong. I started painting on Tuesday. They were all done Wednesday night. Now, I have still got a looooong way to go. No doubt about it. I'm going to try a different method of priming for my next batch, but I really enjoyed working with the color on these guys. Critiques are welcome and appreciated! As well as a Snake Demon (caution. Nudity.)

For one of my PFRPG games, the PCs will be running into a group of snakemen. I prefer my snakemen to have human torsos and snake lower bodies, but most of the snakemen minis are either snake-women that fit this description, or snakemen who are just huge snakes with arms. Now that Bones are coming, conversions are cheap, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I will be combining Lindir, Elf Archer with Vandorendra Demon [warning, store link nudity alert]. 30 minutes with an exacto knife and some greenstuff and he has a new pair of legs! Comments on the conversion are welcome, but they need to be made tonight, before the greenstuff cures! Question for those who do conversions - do I need to use superglue as well, or will the greenstuff be enough of a bond? ------------------------------------------ Lindir, checking out his new pair of legs. Simple cuts through both of his legs, and a straight cut through her torso. Further cuts were made to both the torso and the snake tail to get them to roughly match up. I put a blob of greenstuff on the tail then mushed them together. I cleaned up the excess greenstuff and smoothed it out. The butt/tail area had the most gaps. Here's a close-up.
