  1. Six skellies, painted quickly during several lunch breaks, with little intent other than to be available for the table. Given the state of their weapons, it is ironic that I used them to "knock the rust off" a few of my skills. Color coded for ease of D&D mook-murder. I had a little fun with some traditional heraldic divisions on the shields. Paints are all Reaper MSP. Blackened Brown played a large role, as did a lovely fleshy-toned sample paint. ... Pictures are quite bad, actually. I may reshoot at home.
  2. I painted up the skeletons I had from Bones 2 together with a Bone Fiend. The Skeletons were fun to do, the Bone Fiend a bit less as the model was quite undefined. For the skeletons, I took some inspiration from the game Morrowind for the colours, bases and shield designs.
  3. 89032: Anti Paladin 89030: Hellknight, ORder of the Nail 89029: Hellknight, Order of the Scourge 77237: Skeletal Archer 77238: Skeletal Guardian 2H sword 77239: Skeletal Guardian Spearman 77240: Skeletal Guardian Sword 77241: Skeletal Guardian Axeman 77175: Ghoul Queen 77122: Tierdeleria, Dark Elf Queen x2 77123: Zalash, Dark Elf Assassin 77150: Ragnaros, Evil Warrior 77121: Liela, Dark Elf Wizard 77065: Norgol, Irongrave Knight (with weapon swap)
  4. Here are a few skeletons I did as a quick painting test. Basically, I primed them, base coated, and then used a dark wash. The goal was something that looked dirty and dark, and was ready for the table. I feel like it came out the way I was hoping, though next time I think I may bring up some minor highlights to make them pop. I have more skeles and zombies to complete, so I should get plenty of practice. As always, C&C is welcomed and appreciated. CAH
  5. I had a goal to paint 30 skeletons in October (see my work in progress though I am bad at posting progress pics). Well they are finally done! Photos behind a spoiler since so many: Thanks for reading!
  6. I painted up 5 of the skeletons from Bones II, originally for the April Resolutionary Challenge, but once I finished the paint job, I had a complete block on how to base them so fell off the challenge wagon. I wanted them to look like their tomb had been a bit mouldy and damp so I washed all the woods with a mix of green and grey ink, and tried to make the metals look really rusty and pitted.
  7. Batch of skeletons from Bones 2 77325: Bone Devil 77237: Skeletal Guardian Archer 77238: Skeletal Guardian 2H Sword 77239: Skeletal Guardian Spearman 77240: Skeletal Guardian Sword 77241: Skleletal Guardian Axeman 77201: Dragoth Didn't manage to get any decent close ups of the smaller skeletons =/ all the pictures came out blurry
  8. Okay, last post of the night for me. I actually painted these guys up a while back when my home D&D game featured a necropolis, but I didn't post them up then and am just now getting around to it. My roommate got in on the Bones II Kickstarter, and these guys are all phenomenal. They're in previews right now, so I'm hoping they hit the retail store soon so I can nab some more for myself. Plus it appears they're coming in sprues of 3! So I'll have a bunch of undead nasties next time I need some. Much excite.
  9. Here is a selection of skeleton warriors and Guardians from the Bones 2 Kickstarter. I have painted them to represent they are inhabitants of a damp old crypt, hence the green staining and rust on the weaponry. This is the first set of Bones 2 models I have attempted to date. Here is a group shot of the lot followed by a few close ups of particular models. I have based them in my normal way, to represent them spilling out from the depth of a crypt. As always comments or suggestions welcome.
