  1. This is the bat demon. I didn't want to do a traditional red for this guy but I had a new Averland Sunset paint from GW so I thought I'd find a use for it since it didn't work on the project I bought it for. I did go with red for his hair and fur. I kind of rushed at the end because I tried to do some highlighting on his wings and it went very poorly . So since I had taken so long to decide on his base colour and made a mistake I was in danger of stalling if I tried it again and made another mistake. I guess smooth gradients are still outside of my abilities. I don't like this guy nearly
  2. I went with a more "bat" than "demon"type of style with him, so as to have him match the Giant Bats I've done already. He is also something of a pain to take pictures of as he insists on leaning too far forward even after the boiling method was applied. Perhaps he's simply camera shy. A toothy greeting. Swooping upon his prey. More swooping.
  3. Howdy, I was inspired to do this... Eyebeast, Bat Demon wings, Giant Scorpion tail... Kev!
  4. This is the Reaper Bones Bat Demon I wanted to try some fiery wings. Comments and likes welcome! Hope you like him.
  5. Hello there all, New member first post.....thought I would share some cultists I recently completed.

I don't know why I wanted that; there's nothing very serpentine about the sculpting, but there you are. The heart has its reasons. The wings and elevated position make this figure a bit more imposing than its stature actually warrants. As far as its body goes, it's just very slightly — if at all — larger than the average Reaper bloke.
  7. Howdy, I painted the bat demon from bones 2... Thanks for looking, Kev!
  8. Someone, somewhere during Bones 3 asked if Sharpies would work on Bones minis. I have been using Sharpies to label my Bones on the bottom of the base, so I knew they would work, but it got me wondering - could you do an entire Bones mini with Sharpies? The answer is a qualified yes: This was done with a Red and Brown Sharpie for the demon, and a Grey one for the base during our D&D game this evening. The two biggest issues I've seen so far is that the the recesses are hard to get to with a standard Sharpie tip, and it has a glossy finish. BTW, the glossy finish is far more n
