  2. I finally got around to finishing up the base and sealing my KS2 Mr. Bones. He was an experiment in a few new things. One came out pretty good, the copper lantern. The other a learning experience, black robe. I learned I need to increase the volume of my dark color if i'm going to get this formula to read as black. Ah well... Here are a couple of photo's of the finished Mr. Bones:
  3. Here is my second Mr Bones. I figured since Mr Bones was my first painted Bones 1 mini his twin should be my first painted Bones 2 mini. I tried to get the same level of contrast on his cloak but I think I fell a little short there. Part of that came from shading with Army Painter Strong Tone Ink, I thinned three drops of ink with two drops of water and ended up with tide lines. So the deepest parts of the shadows were actually a little lighter than the edges of the shadows. But I am still pretty happy with it. Hopefully Seej is as impressed with this cloak as he was with the last one haha. This one also has a little mud at the bottom because it drags.
  4. I got my Bones II kickstarter shipment last week. Really like the stiffer material the new figs are made of. I wanted to practice painting a lantern to prepare for some of my other models so Mr. Bones got picked. It helped I ordered an extra one so he was loose in the box/easy to get to. Also, being Mr. Bones I though a standard lantern didn't quite fit so I decided to go with a bluish flame look. I am happy with how that turned out. Maybe next time I will try some OSL. The highlighting/shading got tossed out the window on this one since the Nightmare Black kind of did that for me. He is looking a little shiny in the pictures due to my light. He is pretty matte in person. Any C&C is appreciated.
