And here's a toad demon that I finished, despite the snow. I spent a little more time with this one; I just finished the slime drool today. The broken wall is made from Hirst bits, and the drool is 2-part epoxy with some Golden's Green Gold stirred in. Is it okay that I prefer painting monsters to characters? :-D

I arrived home Thursday to find a lonely box tucked in behind the shovels on my back deck.... Rushing through the snow I grabbed the box and ran upstairs to see what surprise Santa had brought me! Pulling my knife out of my pocket I carefully sliced through the tape to expose the gift.. Plastic packing... no that can't be it .. So I dug around and found some goodies But there was another large clear plastic cylinder with a cut here line drawn on it.. I again used my trusty pocket knife and carefully sliced where the line indicated Yay no blood was drawn but it was close I then pulled out this diorama using the Reaper bones Toad Demon 77377 and an unwary adventure trying to collect samples of the swamp creatures for sale back in town,,, He had a nice little mini toad demon in his hand which he was admiring and calculating how much gold he could get for it.. Oh well .. I suspect big brother has got something to say about that! Tricksay used "pointillism" (painting with little dots instead of brush strokes) to do the skin of the Toad Demon and I have included a close up that, which hopefully shows how great it turned out. I love this and it is so full of detail it is a wonder to see. The little Toad demon was sculpted and added by Tricksay and then painted to match. It is sooo tiny I have no Idea how she managed to paint the eyes and hands on the little guy... but she did and they are clear to see (mind you ,, you do need to use a magnifying lens to see them). I hope you all enjoy and Give Tricksay the credit and cheers she deserves!

I was inspired by the arrival of the Krackatoans from Dragon Bait, and decided to paint up a bunch of related sea folk. Almost all are from Bones, except the Spikeshells, who are the metal incarnation. A knot of Squogs: The Toad Demon: The Tiik Baron: The Sea Hag, with greenstuff-mended Squiddy (I thought he was a blob of miscast and then I saw a painted version...after I had sliced his head off...) The Spikeshells (in metal): Kelpies, (links for Barbie-like NSFW nudity) https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpl1/t31.0-8/12764326_10153308168255636_8677607774558033853_o.jpg https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpl1/t31.0-8/12764568_10153308168265636_5435427177767942254_o.jpg Mab Grindylow (again linked for nekkid) https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/12743713_10153308168850636_8999898210468005567_n.jpg?oh=420f356e9604c94aae39d16c69c6c1d6&oe=575AB32F https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/12745464_10153308168855636_98530089735032765_n.jpg?oh=c1939b3e26e25550c4587ab79ebdfbc7&oe=5766DC4A

Got this guy painted up last night. Gonna be tossing out one or two of these guys in my game Friday night. Slowly but surely I'll be using mostly Reaper minis for D&D rather than the prepainted WotC stuff.

I have a bag of Secret Weapon skulls. I have tamiya clear red. All minis worked on for the spring/summer will have blood and skulls. Because I do what I want. Both from Bones I. Primed in green liner. I don't know if they will be green, but that is the color liner I used. Once again I will be attempting to use the Wappel method on both minis.
