Greetings all! Presenting Cadirith, Demonic Colossal Spider. I was going for a creepy a look for her so I tried to keep the colours dark but with flashes of red "warning" colour. The base is my own creation. The WIP for this project can be found here. For the first pic, I have included Sir Forscale for...um, scale - I'm sure he'll be fine........! Various angles: Without the base: Base only: Comments are always welcome, Thanks for looking!

well, he finally made it out of the house! My exchange is officially in the mail. My exchange partner had asked for something futuristic and something either goofy or scary, so of course I went with ludicrous. What do you give the giant demonic poisonous spider that has it all? high tech lasers and missile launchers! I have been building and painting some of my eldar pieces and decided that they could use a mascot. As for things I haven't done in a while. I have started to play with decals again as a way of adding some interest to my larger grav tanks and space ships so I thought I would add a few here for fun. The weapons pack is removable if my partner wants to use him as a basic giant spider (actually I got a few complaints from the arachnid union when we discussed permanent attachment...) there are to pointy pins that attach the weapons pack to the back of the spider (bones material does have its uses. So here is the Mark I demonic assault spider. I hope everyone enjoys him!

Another one for my LOST WORLD PROJECT. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=93 CADIRITH, Demonic Spider. I used a Web Stamp for the base a gift from @knarthex, as was most of the flock on the base. Added some venom with Vallejo Water Effects, Base is made of foam. Likes and Comments welcome. Negative critique, talk to the Spider first.

Hi All, Presenting my new WIP - Cadirith, Demonic Colossal Spider! I haven't decided on a colour scheme or anything yet but I've been Googling images of tarantulas, arachnids & insects for inspiration. Anyway, this leggy beast should look something like this after assembly: On this model, there is a large void underneath the abdomen & I was unsure whether to fill it in or not. I decided to go ahead & do it as it looks a bit weird from the sides otherwise, also It should help to give it a bit of weight or balance. I started by filling the majority of the hole with green stuff: After drying, I mixed up some Millliput (which I much prefer to sculpt in) & then applied & sculpted the outer case of the abdomen in 3 sections: Finally, after an hour or so of drying time I sculpted in a basic hair texture by dragging lines in the putty with a pointy tool using the surrounding areas as a reference guide: I'm generally not super confident with sculpting but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Anyway that's it for now, back soon with some actual painty stuff!

I need some advice from the Bones repositioners/modifiers out there. I currently have Cadirith (with another on the way) that I am planning on modifying in to an Arachnarok Spider for Age of Sigmar. I've already figured out how to make and attach the Howdah to carry the goblins. The question I have is the best way to reposition the legs. They come in 4 sets of two and and are basically either parallel to each other or overlapping. What would be the best way to get some separation between the legs? Boil and reposition? Cut and angle and glue? My concern with the boiling would be bending the tabs out of position so they wouldn't seat flush anymore. And for cutting, where? At the joint where the join the body or at one of the joints on the legs? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has trouble understanding my rambling train of thought, I can take some pictures if needed.
