  5. Hi everyone, here is DSM8028, Miss Bean the Cthulhu Cat Ninja. This six-piece model was sculpted by David Summers for Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms Anthropomorphic Animals line. 6. Hi everyone, here's the penultimate Cat Critter, Brave Sir Robin in its shinny golden armor. This three-piece model was sculpted by Dave Summers for Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms Anthropomorphic Animals line. 7. Hi everyone, here is DSM8113, Siamese Cat Wizard with Staff sculpted by David Summers for the Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals line. It's a two-piece model. I painted the arm holding the staff before gluing to the body. Again, this was a fun model to paint. The cabochon on its dress where large enough that I was able to paint them in like opals.
  8. Hi everyone, here is this weeks Critter DSM8079, Nom the Cat Paladin. This two-parts model was sculpted by David Summers for Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals line. I painted it with acrylics before gluing the sword it's holding. It was very easy to assemble.
  9. Hi all, here is this week's Critter. The details on this model are beautiful. The pineapple is nice wink to the Earl of Dunmore and the Scotland culture. I may need to paint a strap to hold these three vials in place. DSM8110, Scottish Fold Cat Cleric with Warhammer was sculpted by David Summers for Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms Anthropomorphic Animals line. It's a three-piece model and I've painted the shield and hammer before gluing them to the body.
  10. Hi everyone, here is my latest Critter, Frankie the Rogue. I like the bohemian appearance of this model. I'd say the bardic way of life came naturally for this Siamese Cat. This two-piece model is DSM8104, Frankie Cat Rogue with Dagger from Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms, Anthropomorphic Animals range. It was sculpted by David Summers. I painted the cape and the body separately before gluing them together.
  11. Hi everyone. I managed to complete another Critter Yesterday and took some pictures today. Being a fan of the Viking tv show, I really enjoyed painting this one. I went for orange fur this time, purrfect for a Norse Cat. This two-piece model is DSM8103, Cat Warrior with Battle Axe from Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms, Anthropomorphic Animals range. It was sculpted by David Summers. I painted the fur cape and the body separately before gluing them together.
  12. Hi everyone, here is DSM8078, Archer the Grumpy Cat Warlock. This two-piece model was sculpted by David Summers for Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms Anthropomorphic Animals line. This three-piece model was sculpted by Dave Summers. I've assembled the ram skull on top of the staff and the staff itself before painting the model. 2018 have been an amazing painting year for me, with a little more than 100 models painted. I wish you all a great 2019 and hope you will find the time to paint as much as you'd like to.
  15. Hi everyone, this is my latest Critter. This model is from Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals. Here is DSM7969, Black Cat Avenging Thief. This multi-piece model was sculpted by Dave Summers. I was inspired by the colors of the samurai to paint his clothes and armor. The left and right arm, the extremities of the headband and scarf and the scabbard were all glued to the model before painting. The cloak was painted separately before the final assembling. I wish you all the best for 2019.
  16. Yarr! I buried my treasure in the litterbox. Ahoy! Matey! Is this a mewtiny? So many funny jokes are possible here. From Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals. Here is DSM7971, Ali Sparrow the Female Cat Pirate. This two-piece model was sculpted by Dave Summers. I've assembled the chest lid before painting the model. However, I think it was not the right strategy. It was hard to reach some spots and paint some part of the loot. I hope you will like it.
  17. Good day everyone, here is a Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals I painted this week. This Pretty Princess DSM8017, Victorian Female Cat is a two-piece model that was sculpted by Dave Summers. She looks a little anxious, I think she may be waiting for a late train. It was a challenge to paint all the folds and lace, I'm very pleased about its final look. I also took pictures on how to paint cats eyes in six easy steps. Is it layering or wet blending? I don't even know… Anyhow, here is how I paint cat eyes. I use Reaper Miniatures MSP paint. 1. I paint the surrounding of the eyes in black or dark brown then paint the eye balls in beige. Beige is a color that covers black easily and it helps to get a brighter iris color. 2. The base color is a blend of 09226 peacock green and 09031 tanned leather. 3. I add more 09031 tanned leather to the blend and build up a paler focal point at the center of the eyes. 4. I add 09008 sun yellow in the blend to highlight the eye balls. 5. I use 09037 pure black to paint the vertical pupils typical to the cats. 6. And, I finally add 09039 pure white dots to act as reflections of ambient light.
  18. Good day everyone, here is a Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals that I completed Yesterday. DSM7986, Augustus the Emperor Cat is three-piece model that was sculpted by Dave Summers. I glued its left hand and tail before painting the wholly assembled model.

It's a three part model, the helmet and shield were painted separately before assembling. It allowed me to reach the eyes and the back of the shield much easily. I painted this one with the atypical colors of a marble fox. Your comments are very welcome.

  24. Hi everyone, good Friday! Here is DSM8020, the Female Fox Mage. This 28mm pewter model sculpted by David Summers for Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals. The grimoire and dagger inspired me to paint her as a dark fur Necromancer. I was deligted by the amazing detail of this model, the dagger scabbard, the candle monted on the staff and the textured fabric are impressive and were a pleasure to paint.
  25. Hi everyone! Here is DSM8021, the Fox Cleric with Mace from Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals. This 28mm pewter model was sculpted by Dave Summers. I painted this one as a veteran grey fox. Looking at the pictures, I'm not totally happy with the eyes and may need to repaint the pupil. Your comment are welcome!
