  1. Felicitations on your personal solstice, even if you are a Red Coat.
  2. It's the one day where we will tolerate your Imperialist aggressions, without dumping our tea.
  3. Because @Beagle and I derailed multiple threads into rocks, with help from the chemist @NebulousMissy... Here, ask me about rocks. Or life. Or cheese. Or hats. Maybe about bees, or flying, or any random thing. Beagle, please interject for your Dark Side knowledge (petroleum stuff is the Dark Side). I don't know diddlysquat about the Dark Side, except for some basic field geophysics for remote sensing. @NebulousMissy gets chemist-stuff. Cool cool? Shall we let the randomness become random again?
  4. Felicitations on your personal solstice! (even if you are part of the opressors of my ancestors)
  5. I painted this guy as a Christmas present for my mom. He was inspired by the first dog my parents had while I was growing up - a beagle named Tungsten. A couple of random goals I had were to use the airbrush that I got for a Christmas present last year, and to try something new (the freehand on the edge of the cloak). I kind of waited a bit too long to start on this miniature, so there are some definite shortcuts I took, but I'm still very happy with him.
  6. Guy of Gisborne here is going to be my Christmas present for my mom, so I'm trying to knuckle down and get him done this weekend. I'm taking a short break to post the progress so far. There are a couple inspirations for this miniatures - the first dog we had growing up was a beagle named Tungsten; and my mom has a "dog" bathroom (it's decorated with dogs, it's not for dogs). The cloak is finished except for a few stray brushstrokes I need to clean up. The fur and armor are "basecoated" - they will need additional details. I expect the tabard to give me trouble, and to look at Jess Rich's studio paint job for tips. Depending on how quickly I finish the rest of him, I might try some simple freehand on the cloak - and by simple I mean something like a line near the bottom. Any suggestions or critiques are welcome.
  7. Happy birthday! May this be a satisfying and prosperous year.
  8. Happy Birthday you old dog! May your day be filled with chew toys and walkies... And minis!
