  1. A bunch of classic western popular music performed on various traditional Japanese instruments like the koto, shinobue, shamisen and others. After watching Kubo and the Two Strings, this type of blend really interests me. The videos typically start with a description and demonstration of one of the instruments featured before going into the song.
  2. I painted these up awhile ago and finally got them varnished. No blog post as these were painted before the blog was started.
  3. Was bored the other day and didn't want to get super heavy into anything. Sorting through the Bones II stuff came across the some beetles and decided to do them up like sort of scarabs. Took a closer picture of one to try and capture the iridescent paint I used to do a lite drybrush over the main carapace. Am sure the GM of my game will be happy to see these on shelf.
  4. I've barely made a dent in my Bones 2. This makes 20 out of the lot complete when I add the mummies and ghouls I finished earlier this year. At the very least I'll have painting projects for the next year or three! I worked on this batch over the course of 4 Pathfinder sessions. :) It's fun to paint while roleplaying!
  5. 77127: Vermin: Beetles Golden stag beetles to be precise. I have no idea how it looks gold in sunlight and green in shadows. how the heck does that happen? but here is my attempt to paint it. Glossy finish on the backs of course, repainted the grass/leaf coverage afterward, decided the legs were good either way. They will serve as giant lighting beetles in my next game. Along with the 2 from my original Vampire box. now with bones2 I have 4 more of them. Do I really need 8 beetles? well maybe I'll just paint 2 more....
  6. These guys wouldn't even be worth posting if it weren't for my November goals. They started off as all red beetles, but I didn't like how they looked. After letting them sit on the shelf for a while, I decided why worry about cannon fodder. They got some dark grey legs,an orange midsection to break up the red, and some green eyes. Another couple of monsters into the done pile.
