  1. Hello everyone, today is a Pathfinder day. I did my best to paint it as faithfully as possible respecting the original artwork colors. This is the metal version 60136, Aglanda the herald of Razmir sculpted by Bobby Jackson. It's also available in Bones plastic under sku: 89040.
  2. Hello again people, I am still working on this boxed set of Innocent bystanders. Here we have the maid and some little people, the bug eyed baby is about half the size of my little finger nail. So until i get a magnification solution, will stay a little bit pop eye. I tried my best little fella =)
  3. Hi there, first post here from me. I am fairly new to the hobby, and have been painting for exactly one year now. I am working on the Kullhaven box set so i have characters to rescue in RPG's, the sculpts are great and the faces are full of character. I know my photography leaves a lot to be desired, but I am working on it. =) The farmer Blacksmith Beggar And the Strumpet, which is just a fantastic word if nothing else. Please feel free to share any tips or tricks, I am still very much a beginner. But I am keen to learn.
  4. Hello everyone, here are pictures of the last Dark Dwarf I painted for my Duergar squad. I converted a 44109, Enlarged Dark Dwarf Smiter sculpted by Bobby Jackson to make it look more like a Striker. I changed the original hammer head for a 3D printed two sided meat tenderizer and added the eye patch. Thanks to Derek feedback, I really pushed myself on this one. I think I spent something like 3 or 4 hours on the beard only. It is standing on a 2 inches square base. The ball and chain are made of Milliput and a 3mm hobby chain. Your comments are welcome. Group pictures coming soon.
  5. Enlarge! Hello everyone, here are pictures of the 44109, Enlarged Dark Dwarf Smiter I completed last night. The size of this model allowed me to add more texture on the leather. I also added light effect on the face and the shield rivets. For those of you who may wonder, Dark Dwarves (Duergar) can once a day use their spell-like ability to enlarge themselves. This Bones Black model was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  6. Hello everyone, I'm updating this post with more pictures I took of the Irontongue Duergar Squad I completed recently. The enlaged ones, side by side. From left to right on the first picture; 03883 Dark Dwarf Irontongue Priest, 03899 Dark Dwarf Smiter, 03898 Dark Dwarf Pounder, 03892 Dark Dwarf Striker. All four Dark Heaven Legends models were sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  7. A Viking Girl sculpted by Bobby Jackson. She was a lot of fun to paint since she had a lot of canvas for freehand work. She is also my first serious effort at NMM, so that's a well I plan to return to. I came to paint her when I asked my friends which model needed to get some love next. I presented a wizard, a ranger, and an armored lady fighter. One chimes in that she'd like to see the fighter (she being a practitioner of HEMA). Her boyfriend mentions something about boob armor. I said, no, she's got pretty normal armor. You want to see something egregious? THIS is egregious. My H
  8. Hello everyone! Fourth in the series, here comes the Smiter. Another amazing Duergar model sculpted by Bobby Jackson. This is the metal version 03899, Dark Dwarf Smiter. It's also avalable in Bones Black under sku 44108.
  9. Hello everyone, here comes the heavy infantry. I completed this other Duergar Yesterday, this one is the Dark Dwarf Pounder of Clan Irontongue sku 03898. This Dark Heaven Legends model was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. Group picture at the end of post.
  10. Hello everyone, I completed this Dark Dwarf today. I really enjoy painting these Duergar models. They remind me of the D&D Forge of Fury adventure module. This one is the Irontongue Priest sku 03883. It was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  11. This is Mavaro, Iconic Occultist sculpted by Bobby Jackson from the Bone 4 Core Pathfinder Iconics II subset. This is now available on the Reaper store as SKU: 89051. He reminds me of a bard who went for oration as his talent.
  12. (unknown code) Bones USA Mangu Timur or Darth Sauron as I like to call him. Or maybe MandaSaurion is better? Sculpted by Bobby Jackson Bones USA 32mm base. This version currently only available as part of the recent Bones USA Learn to Paint Kit.
  13. I know I haven't posted in a while, but I still check in daily on the friendliest mini-painting forum on the web! Still lurking here while pursuing my obsession with OSL.
  14. Hello everyone, not the most cheerful presentation, I painted this one to use as a marker on the gameboard. That's a 03797, Vulture sculpted by Bobby Jackson on an Armorcast Terraform resin pile of skulls. The whole is mounted on a 3D printed 75mm square base. I used crackle paste on the base and Army Painter Battlefields Wasteland tufts. I promise to present something more neutral and fantastic for my next post.
  15. Hello everyone, I completed this one today. 03892, Dark Dwarf Striker is a Dark Heaven Legends model that was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. The other models of this series are on my to paint list. I bought the metal versions, plus two enlarged Bones Black models.
  16. Hello everyone, here are pictures of the forth and last mini I entered in the Pathfinder painting contest. 60118, Order of the Pyre's Hellknight sculpted by Bobby Jackson. This time, the colors I selected are completely different from the display model of the Online store. I hope you will enjoy it.
  17. Hello everyone! This was one of my entries in the Pathfinder painting contest. Here's 60001, Valeros the fighter sculpted by Bobby Jackson. The event was a great source of motivation for me, I painted four models in total.
  18. From left to right; 50279 Malvernis Soldier, 50278 Rach Soldier and 50287, Cain the Cyber-Troll.
  19. Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great Black Friday. Here are pictures of 50287, Cain the Cyber-Troll sculpted by Bobby Jackson. This Chronoscope model was designed by Wayne Reynolds, Winner of the Reaper Con 2011 DYOM (Design Your Own Miniature) Auction. It is also available in Bones Black version under SKU: 49028. I added the katana on its back to be faithful to the concept art illustration and painted it with Reaper MSP paint.
  20. Hello everyone, this one is for all of you Nosferatus, Vampires and Childrens of the Dark lovers. 02867, Matthias the Twisted sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  21. Hello everyone, here are some pictures of the Cavemen matriarch. This Dark Heaven Legends 02395, Cavewoman was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I added primitive paintings on the jars and scratches on her knuckles, elbows and knees.
  22. Hello everyone, here are pictures of SantOrc Claus 07007, Orc Warrior of the Ragged Wound Tribe. This Dungeon Dwellers model was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  23. Hi everyone, after sitting five months on the shelf, that being the projet (not me) I finally found time to complete my Gnolls display base. The base is 7.25 inches x 11 inches wide. Here are some pictures. Other pictures of the Gnolls can be found here.
  24. Continuing with the random minis for now: Cavalry. Bones Cavalry that is. Over the course of 4 delivered kickstarters of Bones models, Reaper has released a total of 9 mounted models. (11 if you count the flying saucer from the Bones 2 Chronoscope Expansion and the chopper bike mounted Sophie (the one and only Bones KS model delivered in metal!) in the first Bones kickstarter.) Well, "mounted" is also a theme to use to get something painted, isn't it? And with 9 or 11 models to go for, it should be possible to get done in a timely manner. Here are the first pair of them
  25. Every so often, a model catches my attention. Sometimes because it is excellent and inspiring, sometimes because there is something off about it. Sometimes the model is both. Here is one such example: Yeah, it is the angle of the buckler thats just wrong. It simply should not happen. It triggers my OCD. This is the "Gnoll Warrior" from the "Thank You pack" add-on in the second Bones kickstarter. During the kickstarter it was presented as a line concept drawing and as is usually the case, the resulting miniature ends up slightly different. Still a perfectly good representation
