  1. Finished my first mini from the Bombshell Babes III kickstarter. Isn't actually one of the new ones. Just one of the previous minis. Tried to get a bit of muddy, just been out in the tank feel to it. Actually mini from Bombshell Miniatures website is 36032 - Tammy the Tank Girl The picture from behind is a bit blurry, but am sure you all get the idea :)
  2. This is my rendition of Bombshell 10035, Kaitlin the Archer. Nice and clean mini without too many fiddly bits, so she painted up pretty quick.
  3. BABES III September on Kickstarter by Bombshell Miniatures Bombshell Miniatures is very excited to announce Babes III coming to Kickstarter September 19th 2016. We have made special arrangements with artist Chris Walton to reproduce a selection of his fantastic designs for fantasy women. In addition to these, we have several existing designs in the Bombshell archives that may also be produced if we exceed our funding goal. Sculpts are in the works now and over the next several weeks we will be posting progress pictures of them. Join our Facebook Group
  4. Finally decided it was about time for me to start another WIP thread. I have not done much since ReaperCon and fell into a major painting rut. I had a bunch of ideas but no energy to actually do anything. I am starting to get back into the swing of things and have quite a few projects on deck. No real deadlines for them, just working on what I feel like it at this point. I would like to finish the Landsknecht and The Grudge in time for the SCAHMS show on the second weekend in April. So here is my current line up of project with the breakdown of what's what below. 1. Vampire Hunter (Re
  5. My final figure for 2016, Gabrielle by Bombshell. I slightly altered the position of her arm, and changed her stance by basing her on a step, so it looks more like she is running, rather than lunging. Really proud of her face, I used a magnifying glass in addition to my usual painting glasses, so I could get the detail.
  6. One of the last pieces I painted for 2016, a sarayad, or noble dryad from DGS Games. She is going to really surprise some PCs one day.
  7. Finished up Geirahod tonight! Here's pics, words tomorrow... George
  8. Since I want to bring a Bombshell mini to Reapercon, and Glacia isn't movin' my Mojo atm, I started on Geirahod... Eyes are GW Scorched Brown, MSP Linen White, and Scale 75 Tesla Blue Skin is Arabic Shadow, which seems to be my new favorite skin tone base coat.... Got the Blues in her eyes with one try..... (Will never happen again...) I found it interesting that the details of her face don't show up well in the pic on the Bombshell site... They look very soft in that pic, to me anyway... Comments and Critiques welcome!
  9. So here is Bombshell Minis' Cave Girl, as inspired by Shanna the She-Devil, an old Marvel character recently resurrected for Savage Wolverine. No, I haven't completely gone off my anti-basing rocker. Yet. I have a cool idea to make a small scene with her...but it'll have to wait a few months. So I figure I'd rather put here here in Show Off for folks to get inspired to paint some of the Babes up. She was a pretty quick paint for me, about 6 1/2 hours, 1 1/2 of which were on the eyes. Just wanted something to shake off the rust from my brief hiatus. Hope you enjoy it! WIP h
  10. I've been trying to tick off some of those D&D Monster Manual entries, and painted up a bunch of large beasties. I kind of speed-painted these (spent a bit more time on the Oni), but am pretty happy with how they turned out. Feels good to produce stuff for the collection. The Brass Bull is from Reaper of course (the Bones variant), the four-armed ape is from Bombshell Miniatures, whilst the Iron Golem, Stone Elemental and Fire Elemental are all from Otherworld Miniatures and the Oni is from Zenit Miniatures. They're all really cool minis I think. Anyway, hope you like em!
  11. BOMBSHELL BABES 2!!![/center] About this project The Babesâ„¢ are back!We bring you a whole new set of fantastic female character models suitable for use with all manner of tabletop Wargames and RPGs! Although we're using a term like "Babes" to describe the line, these characters are much more than a label. The concept is something retro and nostalgic that is intended to evoke images of famous paintings like J. Howard Miller's "We Can Do It" and Rockwell's "Rosie the Riveter". Why return to Kickstarter? We have all of the models shown ready to go into production, but molding and mast
  12. Just a quick paint of a small, mini robot from Bombshell minis. He was a simple fun little guy! Thanks for looking!
  13. Just a little something that I am doing to keep me busy as I am working on the Goblin Chief.... When I saw these guys during the KS, I knew I had to paint one.... Thanks for looking! George
  14. Just a little desert cat with a very big gun. I was playing around with a very limited pallet.
  15. Check out the big brain on Brad.
  16. Beep Boop Whirl. That's what I'm calling him.
  17. Everybody was Kung Fu fighting.... Ping the Panda from Bombshell Miniatures. He's quite small, familiar sized, very cute and was fun to paint.
  18. Its the Sinister brain! Now all I need in an Emperor Mollusk.
  19. Conversion of Bombshell's Edo Underling #1: More pics on my blog.
  20. First up, Victoriana from Bombshell miniatures. I want to thank those who gave me advice in this thread http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/50314-bombshell-victoriana-need-color-advice/?hl=victoriana. Obviously I went with purple dress in a muddy outdoorsy scene. Then I finally managed to finish 2 mouslings that had been sitting there almost completed since 2011.... Finally some speedpainted bones, less than 2 each on paintjob for vampire chick and innkeeper, about an hour for miss strumpet. Edited to add SKU to title and added more ta
  21. So here I am trying to get 20 miniatures painted again this month. Things will probably be easier when the Bones KS arrives, what with Rats and Skeletons and other easy to paint fast miniatures hitting the shelf of shame then. Completed Miniatures (16) Reaper: 14604: Joeliyn, Sister of the Blade Warlord Citadel: Official AD&D Umber Hulk (mid 1980's vintage) Reaper: 02675: Giant Snake Reaper: 77096: Labella DeMornay, Banshee Reaper: 77144: Mummy (1 from KS) Reaper: 77046: Bat Swarm Reaper: 77028: Mortar, Gargoyle Bombshell: Meagan the Buccaneer Reaper: 77048: Mocking Beast GW
  22. So this here is my first foray into metal miniature painting. I started painting sometime around the kickstarter last year. I initially did my Castle Ravenloft game pieces (plastic) and have done a bunch of Bones since then. This was also the first time I did a WIP. This was a challenging miniature for me. The sculpt is of great quality and I wanted to do it justice. Overall, I'm happy with it, but still see areas for improvement, and I can't help but nitpick my own stuff. The face (eyes in particular) never quite got where I wanted. She's just not menacing enough. Ho
