I finished off my Nicki Minaj color-themed Specter CAV. This was the third figure I've painted from the CAV Kickstarter. The first video I put up asked my subscribers for input on what color scheme to use. Nobody picked anything, so you can see the result in the second video. I'll not post the first video since it's just me using brown liner over the Bones figure. Now for pictures! And sadly, I forgot to make this part of the video and the initial set of photos, but I did put in one little funny joke on the base. Because it's all about the base, right? Oh, wait. Wrong pop singer. But poor, poor Nicki. Never saw the Specter coming. Now for 2/3rds of the videos, behind spoiler tags for quicker loading. So, I figured I could show off even when I haven't finished some pieces. Today I was working on the male Storm Giant, Yephima, and the Totally-Not-A-Beholder from the Bones Kickstarter. Still a fair bit of detail to finish, and washes to wash, but here's the day's effort:

Hello, I just received notification that I should go to the customs office with a receipt of the bones kickstarter, so that they know how much to charge me. However I have no receipt. Is something like that in the box? Thank you Edit: From the Kickstarter FAQ:

I bought some bones and upon close examination found that some were multi part casts preassembled. Mine were assembled poorly. The bugbear had a large gap where the head was attached and the gnoll's shield was improperly attached, the straps were sticking out. Some crazy glue, clamps and filler fixed this. I think Reaper could save some money and time by shipping the Kickstarter pieces unassembled. I personally like to assemble miniatures. This also allows for some variety in the poses, it also allows me to paint some parts prior to assembly. Though painting assembled bones is easier because you can bend back parts to get at hard to reach areas.

I had planned to paint this figure with arrows pointing down along his leather armor. But it didn't look right. It did, however create an interesting pattern. Now I am wondering what to do with it next. I could paint the arrows to look like feathers I suppose. What do you guys think? buckyball
