  1. Here is my Callie. I painted her as a second WIP for my BONES 1 attempts. I really like the sculpt. I painted her as a half-orc or orc. She has some freckles, nice green gems, and some ivy freehand on the cloak. Here is a link to the WIP. https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/86283-darcstaar-vs-bones-1-ep-2-callie/ Enjoy. C&C Welcome.
  2. Another villager from me. :) This is a 03856 Townsfolk: Courtesan Got this one done at a painting day in about 3 hours of work, but interrupted by cups of tea. :)
  3. This is the wolf from the bones animal companions set (77216). Googled a bunch of wolf photos and then the wolfie painted up really quick. Might put some plants on the base later.
  4. A nasty-looking fellow that looks entirely interested in carving off bits of your anatomy. I'm reasonably happy with his face and I think the color scheme works fairly well. Pretty much intended as a tabletop figure, he was quite a bit of fun to paint.
  5. Finished this figure a couple of weeks ago, but never posted pics; While he's titled "rogue", I thought he came across better as a fighter, so I painted the armor metallic. Just tabletop standard, not intended for any sort of competition. Definitely needs more lining, especially on the belt.
  6. I really like the way this turned out
  7. I believe these were in the pack called "Sophie and friends", but I am not sure if they have specific names or product numbers. I am still very bad at painting eyes, and at the end I just let the wash go all in and leave them as is. Pretty happy with the rest of the painted result however. Cassiata is much easier to get the eye to show through though. Maybe because she was molded with a slight stiffer material and therefore more crisp molded detail? I ended with a kind of blood kniight colour scheme because I do not have reference to her intended design.
  8. WIP of the Cave Bear from Bones IV's Prehistoric Expansion. I did not get this expansion so I recently picked up the Stone Giants and the Cave Bear from a gift certificate to Reaper Miniatures. When I saw this I had ear-marked this to do the base in a similar method to Frulla Krung's base. To achieve that I added the bark next to the integrated base as well as a pumice piece and then using baking soda and super glue I added the snow and ice. For Frulla's base I used the BSI Thin Insta-Cure super glue and baking soda. That made the ice easier to form over the rocks. I will prolly add that after painting as well. The base is built from cork with a plastic card (fake credit card sent in the mail) in between the top and bottom. It provides a nice rigidity to the cork. This Cave Bear will get a paint job of grays with a tan crescent under his chin and a tan snout. I've downloaded a ton of pictures of different bears to see where the colors shift along the bear to get a better color along the bear's length and over its head. Enjoy and Stay tuned.
  9. Maglok

    03857: Milk Maid

Here is a recent Bones milk maid miniature, 03857. I worked on my glazing skills on this one. Being pretty new to glazing I like how the dress worked out. :) Quite pleased.
  10. I painted up another ogre matriarch. she is so fun! This is Daisy, aka the Blonde Bombshell!
  11. Pochi

    Chthon 77228

I need a grick for D&D so painted up the chthon. He can also pass for a carnivorous plant!
  12. I painted this miniature for my wife for use in a Starfinder campaign. She is a plantlike race, but fully armored up. So I went with khaki and brown tones to denote some of that 'natural' feel. It is a 80013: Nova Corps Female bones miniature.
  13. Part of Bones4, IIRC. Started him at Reapercon, didn't get far with all the distractions. Did some work on him over Thanksgiving but didn't get him finished enough to count for the paint binge. Started withe the bright purple robe and then wasn't sure where to take him after that. Teal happened. It worked. Just glad to have it done at this point so I can move on.
  14. Ordered Ma'al Drakar to play the role of Tiamat in my Rise of Tiamat campaign I'm currently running. (Icons of the realm Tiamat is just to small IMHO) Having just received it in the mail I'm finally understanding the scale of the project I have Doomed myself to. Lol I was wondering if people had tips on mold line removal for pieces this large, what you suggest for Gap filling between all the assembled pieces, should I prime before assembly, and if there is a best way (or horribly wrong way) to pin all the pieces together.
  15. Hello again forum family, I keep my purple period rolling on :D This time wanna share with you my version of Eilluvasheth. Beingi n my purple phase the dominant color is purple, and what's better than a gold armor to complement it? So I've tried to paint it in NMM to challenge me as NMM is out of my comfort zone. Still I'm trying to figure out where to place the shines and to maximize the contrast, but in the end I'm pretty happy of her, also considering that this lady is full of tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny details Also i'm trying to pump the shadows instead of the hi-lights to maximize the purple contrast, just to avoid it to look pink. Hope you'll like her :) Now, nipples are covered in armor, but to avoid mods to delete the pics, I'll link the front one. Hi-Res Front Picture Hi-Res Back picture As always every c&c is more than welcome. Thank you for watching
  16. 'Tis the season! I posted this a while ago before is got paint on him. Santac'Laus has featured in the Christmas one-shot games I've run for the last couple of years (and this year is no exception). He's gone from villain to lovable (but weird) friend, who rides a manta-ray-shaped sleigh, pulled by a team of beholders. If you're one of my players, please don't read the spoiler! The hat, sack and present were all made with green stuff. The snow was made with snow powder mixed with water effects.
  17. Hello forum family, I wanna share with ya all my most recent fatigue: Marthragul! I was in doubt if painting it into a realistical Earth dragon, or something more colourful... The Magenta won! :D And I chose to don't cut corners, so no drybrush, no washes, no feathering... just dear, old layering, shading and glazing ...cause I'm a fast painter, as you know And, yeah! This took me almost a month of at least two hours per day... basically I hate this dragon now Enough talking, time for pics :D I really hope you like it, if you have any question do not hesitate :) As always every C&C is more than welcome. Thank you :)
  18. I painted this guy up, despite having eyes on Gale Force 9's Behir for my personal use. Decided to go ahead and liquidate it in a certain auction site, but so far, no takers. Ah, well. It's still a nice looking mini, so it doesn't hurt to have one around until I manage to finish painting the GF9 Behir... Comments, recommendations, and suggestions are appreciated.
  19. So this is fun, because I can show you folks the Christmas presents I'm working on, so it's like I get to give them twice. Anyway, here's my take on her, really enjoyed going for a winter feel.
  20. So here's CavePerson number two, and I've got two more to go: and here is is hanging out with his other painted buddy: So sooner or later, I'll get the other two finished and then more prehistoric happiness to share!
  21. I painted these guys at least a year ago. I don't think I've ever had a use for Yetis, so I figured I'd go ahead and sell them to recoup some of the money I spent on Bones 3. I only got around to getting them listed on a certain auction site a couple of weeks back, but I did managed to sell them, so that's pretty solid.
  22. I painted these guys up from Bones 3 over a year ago, but finally took pictures of them so that I could sell them on a certain auction site. Got $25 for them.
  23. hey guys, here is a little conversion about the mercenary mage ; Leysynn. The original magic staff has been removed for a simple one (more natural for my mage), made from needle and some wire mixed with glue. The figurine was unbased and cut a little bit to be more mixable with my 28mm collection. So he lose his feet and the end of his long dress. hope you like him Cheers Eric
  24. Some random conversions I threw together. Frank Buck, from Chronoscope, converted to a fantasy figure by adding some Boneyard pieces I picked up at ReaperCon. NOVA Female Trooper head swap. An extra Tara the Silent donated her head Attempts at some baby griffons using the falcon and cat from one of the Bones Familiar packs. I'd rather have a rainbowsculptor or Talespinner sculpt, but these will do for my D&D campaign.
  25. While I haven't try to play D&D, I have a friend who does, and his friends want some of their miniatures painted. Before I accept the request want to see if my painting skills is presentable for gaming. so I pulled a couple of figures out from my kickstart rewards and paint them up. All are done with Citadel paint by hand.
