  1. An old Ral Partha lady warrior I painted for the Morihalda Challenge. I'm happy with her eyes (only two tries!), but she seems kinda washed out in the pictures. I need to play with the light box more.
  2. This is a giant frog from Mega Minis (you can't get it from there any more, though. He sold the molds to another company; I'm not sure who) that I have painted up as an Ice Toad for use in FrostGrave games. Also part of my Morihalda Challenge.
  3. This is one of the figures from 06028 plague zombies. I painted him as part of my Morihalda Challenge, he's also going into my End Times project as a chaos marauder dedicated to Nurgle, the plague god. Table top painting, as usual.
  4. I'm not sure what this is supposed to be; I got it as part of a figure lot on Ebay. Maybe an Otyugh? Maybe something C'thulu-ish? In any case I painted it for the Morihalda Challenge.
  5. This is an old Grenadier dwarf from their 'Fantasy Warriors' range/game. I initially wanted his eyes facing up towards his axe, but after goofing them up about 342,539 times, I decided to go with what I had. Tabletop painting for Morihalda Challenge.
  6. This is an old wizard figure from the ChainMail game. I'm including him as part of my Morihalda Challenge; he was already painted, but I did some touch ups, and based him. I was having a bad day, but didn't want to break my streak, so I needed something quick and easy. Still trying to get the hang of playing with my wife's light box; he's a little washed out.
  7. I forget exactly what this figure is called, but it's another old Mage Knight figure that I have repainted. I think it would work well as a (small) evil treant. I'd have to go through the Monster Manual, but I'm sure that there are other plant monsters this would work as, too. Tabletop paint job as usual. ETA---Forgot to mention, this is part of my Morihalda challenge (do art every day in December).
  8. I'm not entirely sure what this is supposed to be; I got it in a group of figures that I bought on Ebay. I know it's by Grenadier, and that's it. I painted this up as part of my Morihalda challenge; to a (hopefully) decent tabletop standard. Those eyes were tons of fun.
  9. This is an old Grenadier miniatures troll that I dug out of the lead mountain and gave a quick, tabletop level paint job to. I hope you like him. I slathered Modge Podge all over his base to make it look like he's hanging out in a swamp. I may have made him too dark; this is the best picture I could manage to get of him...
  10. This is an old article, so some of you might already know about it.... http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/lord-of-the-rings-tv-series-in-the-works-w511077
  11. This is an old mage knight figure I stripped (yes, it is possible. Not easy, but possible. It's also not always worth the time and energy involved) and then repainted. Painted to table top. Let me know what you think. Better view of the base. Yes, it's got eyes, and they're painted!
  12. This is an old Grenadier bugbear that I started before Reapercon, and finished up last night as part of Inarahs' weekend painting binge. Painted to my usual tabletop standard, mostly in between waiting for my con projects to dry. Let me know what you think.
  13. Sir Danel (this fellow here: https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/sir danel/latest/14226 ) got Bones-ified way back in Bones 2. With a couple changes. In metal, he has a lance and sword. In Bones, he was supposed to have a sword and shield. Somewhere along the way, a blunder happened. His Bones version is all goofed up. His left hand, holding the sword, is attached to his right arm, and his left arm just ends in a stump, no hand (there is a shield, though). There has been talk of correcting the mistake so that he can be marketed, but to the best of my knowledge this is still in the works.
  14. Ok, here's the promised sign up thread for the Reapercon version of the BoGW. If you were there, or had someone there get you stuff, please do not sign up; I want this to be for folks who weren't there and didn't/couldn't get any neato swag. As discussed here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/76906-reapercon-bogw/&do=findComment&comment=1635801 ...this will need to be a more finite number of people than the normal BoGW, so this sign up thread has a very limited lifespan. The (very) basic rules in case you're unfamiliar: get the
  15. The Bones sarcophagus painted to my usual tabletop level. I have a second one that I'll try painting all the scrollwork, flowers, and whatnot on the outside. This one was mostly washes and drybrushing. I hope you like it.
  16. Another old-school Ral Partha fighting woman who is sensibly dressed. I finished her up last night. let me know what you think, please.
  17. The Bones bookshelf, painted to what I hope is a decent tabletop standard. Let me know what you think.
  18. This is an old Mega Miniatures giant frog that I have painted as an ice toad for use in games of Frostgrave. I have another one that's not quite finished yet; you'll see him a little later on. Tabletop paint as usual. ...and of course I see the base is scratched a little. I'll fix it in a bit.
  19. This is the other figure that comes in the blister pack with the female fighter I posted a while back: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/76723-ral-partha-female-fighter/&tab=comments#comment-1615258 I finished him and he's ready to join his lady friend on the battlefield. Table top paint job.
  20. Sadly, Reapercon is over again, and it’s time to start planning for next year. Once you get done unpacking, take a minute to check in and let your friends know that you made it back home safely.
  21. ...and finishing it in 10 days or less. And you're all invited to come along for the ride. Audience participation is welcome and encouraged, just don't throw anything, please. (Unless it's money) While on the hangouts last night, I had an idea for a new project, and then started to laugh. When asked what was so funny, I said that I had just thought of a cool idea for a vignette for Reapercon, but it was too bad it's only a little over a week away. Some of the helpful folks there encouraged me to 'go for it'. I laughed. But I started thinking about it.
  22. So, I got this pretty cool figure a few years ago at my first Reapercon. I don't think I've ever seen him painted up, so I figured I'd give it a shot, and I'll be bringing him to this year's 'con. The base on the figure was slightly miscast, so I removed it and attached the figure to an urban rubble base ('old factory' by Basicks). His pants are painted up in an WW2 German 'ambush pattern' camouflage scheme. Because I'm a glutton for punishment, I decided to try some freehand tattoos on him. I'm doing something vaguely reminiscent of the tr
  23. I've got a bunch of these GW Chaos Space Marines taking up space, so I figured I'll paint one or 2 of them every once in a while. Kharne the Betrayer is a pretty interesting guy, so I'm going to work on him first. Early steps so far; I'm just working on his armor right now. Ignore the color on his arm; that's going to be going away soon. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!!!!!
  24. This is an old Ral Partha female fighter; she is part of a 2 figure set with a male figure dressed and armed in the same fashion. (He is still on the workbench awaiting a few finishing touches) I hope you like her.
  25. This is an old Ral Partha 3 stage character; high level Cleric. I've got both the low level, and mid level ones around here somewhere; I need to dig them out and paint them, too. My usual tabletop paint job, I hope you like it.
