  1. Well, just the treasure right now; I'll get around to the candelabra sooner or later. I'm not entirely sold on my distribution of wealth; I think next time I'll paint it all gold and try to pick out coins in other colors instead of starting with silver.
  2. I decided to paint this fella for Ladystorm's contest a couple months ago, and then promptly forgot about him until this past Saturday. So here's my semi-rushed, totally tabletop but still fun to paint Yeti chief. I was hoping to achieve that polar bear not-quite-white-but-sorta-yellowish-white look for him. I think it worked out alright, but I have an idea to try to improve upon it in the future.
  3. Another figure I primed and base coated some time ago that I decided to finally finish painting during the Thanksgiving paint binge.I tried to go for a subtle camouflage effect on her cloak by wet blending several different greens on it. She's done for tabletop, like most of what I paint. Please let me know what you think.
  4. This is a figure from (I believe) a C'thulu boardgame. A local book store/game store was having a mini painting event this past Halloween, and this is the figure. The first picture is what I accomplished in 2 hours at the store, while the last 2 are after spending another 30 minutes or so doing some touch ups at home. Speed paint table top figure, i hope you like it.
  5. This little guy is one of a set of three figures; I found him on the melt table at Reapercon and snagged him. I figured I could use him in Frostgrave, or as a familiar to some evil baddie in a RPG. Basic tabletop painting, I hope you like it.
  6. I painted Ingrid over during the paint binge weekend this past Thanksgiving. She was sitting in a drawer primed and base coated for at least a few months, so I pulled her out and finished her up. I need to get more practice doing gems; that's supposed to be a ruby in her hand, not a freshly removed heart. Although I suppose it could be.... Please let me know what you think.
  7. As I'm starting to find a lot of my Bones minis I will never use and Bones 4 bringing me another bunch, along with minis from other games and such.. is there any interest in a Bones/plastic only BOGW?
  8. https://wizkids.com/...games-workshop/ Pretty much what it says on the tin. I'd be pretty shocked to see GW allow Wizkids to produce miniatures, unless they're way out of scale with GW's stuff, but it'll be interesting to see what kind of board games they come up with. I'm also wondering if they're not looking for someone to take the place of the recently expired partnership with Fantasy Flight Games.
  9. This is the Bones version of the Large Earth Elemental. I painted it over the course of a week or so. Thanks for looking.
  10. This a Bones elf ranger that I started painting a while back and decided to finish just to be done with him. Done to a tabletop standard. Thanks for looking.
  11. These are a couple figures I picked up at the factory while at Reapercon this year. I painted them over the last week or so; lots of browns and greys. I couldn't manage to get a decent picture, but their eyes are glowing green, too. I hope you like them.
  12. Ok, here's the promised sign up thread for the Reapercon version of the BoGW. If you were at Reapercon 2018, or had someone there get you stuff, please do not sign up; I want this to be for folks who weren't there and didn't/couldn't get any neato swag. ...this will need to be a more finite number of people than the normal BoGW, so this sign up thread has a very limited lifespan. The (very) basic rules in case you're unfamiliar: get the box, take out x (probably 3, but I'll let you know for certain) number of minis/items, repack box, and send it to the next person. You don't need to replace any items you take, this is strictly a gift; people at the 'con contributed things that they did not want from their swag/VIP bags to be able to do this. If there are any questions, please let me know. Have fun! ETA---Yes, if you live outside the USA you can sign up, we just need one person willing to mail overseas, or a bunch of people willing to throw a few bucks together towards overseas mailing costs.
  13. This is a repainted prepaint of a WOTC Dungeons and Dragons figure. I kept the paint scheme mostly the same since I liked it, but I tried to a do a better job. She's got a decent table top paint job now, I hope. I did her to get back into painting after being in a bit of a slump when I lost my job earlier this year. Ahe's actually been done for a while, I've just been bad about taking pictures. Anyway, I hope you like her.
  14. Welcome to the BoGW chatter thread for round 6! If there are any questions, hopefully you'll find the answer here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79277-box-of-goodwill-round-6-sign-up-thread-the-continuing-journey-of-sir-forescale-and-friends/&tab=comments#comment-1684422 If not, PM your box starter and/or myself. 16. This is an old Mage Knight figure that I slightly converted and repainted. He was holding a comically undersized flail in his left hand, so I cut it off and replaced it with a halberd from an old GW Chaos Warrior I had in my bits box. After that, it was just a matter of repainting him for use on the tabletop. He'll make an interesting BBEG in some game I haven't created yet. Thanks for looking.
  17. These are 3 little imps/demons that I pulled off the melt table at Reapercon last year. I'm not sure of manufacturer, so if you recognize them, please let me know. I think they may be from a 15mm figure range. I bashed these guys out over he course of a couple evenings about a week ago. Thanks for looking. With (in need of a touch up) Sir Forscale:
  18. No, not the ever lovin' blue eyed Ben Grimm. Not John Carpenter's horrific alien beast, either. (Although, there is a certain resemblance....) No, this abomination was made at Reapercon last year. I plan on fixing it up and entering it in the open category at the coming Reapercon. This is what it looked like when I got home from the 'con. And this is what it looks like now: I still like the other head idea, and may revisit that sometime in the future, but for now, I like this one better.

  20. I finished this guy last night. I gave him some tattoos; on one hand, I'm (relatively) happy with my attempt at freehand, on the other, I'm really not that great at 2-d art. I'm pretty happy about getting his eyes to look ok, though. Please let me know what you think.
  21. Dylan Blackzorn looked around at the engine room with an annoyed expression on his face. The raiders had caused a hell of a mess in there. A fair amount of damage, too from the looks of things. He signaled for the others with him to follow his lead; they needed to be sure there weren't any surprises waiting for them before they got to work bringing the various systems back online. He flexed his fingers inside the energy glove on his left hand. In addition to being a great asset in the hand to hand combat they'd had to engage in with the raiders, it was also a powerful tool. With it, he'd be able to engage with the ship's engineering computer and ascertain what repairs were going to be necessary, as well as to dramatically shorten the time those repairs would take. Time to get to it, he thought. The sooner they were out of this sector, the better. He really does have a face, and it looks pretty decent in person....sigh. I'll have to go back and try to make it stand out a little more.
  22. I finished this guy Friday night, he was a rescue from the melt table at last Reapercon. He was relatively quick to paint, and pretty fun, too. Some of the shading I did on his 'belly' scales is hard to see due to the angle of the pics, but what you see on his bottom half is also present on his chest area, too. I got his eyes looking pretty good (although to be fair, they are a bit bigger than the average human sized figures eyes). I had thought about giving him some patterns on his scales, but decided against it. The base was one of the first ones I've done using base stamps; I'm not entirely happy with it, but it's not awful, either. More practice both with the stamps, and with what material I use for the base is in order. This one was straight Green Stuff. Thanks for looking, please let me know what you think. ETA----I put 2 SKU numbers in the title because he is available either by himself (14423) or in a multi-pack with 9 total figures (06155).
  23. This is a 20 man (well, 17 with a unit filler) unit of skeletons that I'm working on for possible use in Kings of War. It's composed of figures by a lot of different manufacturers including Reaper, Ral Partha, GW, Grenadier, Mage Knight, and WOTC. I'm using all the different makers and scales to try and make an interesting looking unit composed of more than just human remains. I am an equal opportunity, non racially biased necromancer, after all. This will be kind of a slow burn project; I'm not in any major rush to finish these for a game any time soon. This will be something to work on in between other projects. There will be conversions, and different paint jobs for the skellies; again in an effort to make a more interesting looking group. Here's the unit all together: What would be more interesting; making individual show off threads as I finish 2 or 3 figures, or just putting the finished figures in here and then doing a show off for the whole unit once it's complete?
  24. Grublicks idly scratched his butt. He was still in his room/cell, waiting for the crew of the trader vessel to decide whether to take him on as their newest crew member or not. He really didn't understand the hold up; hadn't he surrendered to them, and happily sold out the raiders that he had been with? Back home, that would've made him a junior officer at the very least. It was always hard to figure some of the other races different customs, though. Thinking back, it hadn't been a very hard choice; the raiders had underestimated the strength of the vessel they attacked, and got wrecked good and proppa for it. He was pretty sure the raiders had been cheating him anyway; he always seemed to get the worst of the work details, like cleaning the kitchen. On the other hand, he'd miss some of them. He was always able to convince Nentarc to trade work details; Grublicks was convinced that the man had been soft between the ears to so easily agree to cleaning the kitchens instead of working down in the deep sumps. If Grublicks was careful and maybe a little bit lucky, he could always find a couple of sump eels to snack on. He wondered if there were any sump eels on board this ship as he scratched his butt again. I've been on a little bit of a sci-fi kick recently, and decided that all of these one off figures I've acquired over the years might make a pretty interesting starship crew, so I've been trying to tie them together with little bits of story. Whether they'll ever see use in a game is anyone's guess, although I certainly hope so. Thanks for looking.
  25. Nothing too crazy, just some more barrels and crates I finished up the other day. I've been in a bit of a slump (real life has been a woof lately) so I needed to do something quick and easy that didn't really require much thought. Thanks for looking.
