Nothing special here, just a random spacer for use in StarGrave, 5 Parsecs From Home, or any other games I get into. This was just a quick conversion using the top half of a broken Bones alien and some random GW bits ( legs from the old Dark Eldar, and a grenade from somewhere ). Since he's just going to be 'random blaster fodder #3', I just gave him a quick and dirty paint job.

I finished this a few days ago, but haven't had the chance to get pictures until last night. I have another one of these to do, so to create a little difference between them, I left the pots off the side and replaced them a grass tuft and shield from my bits box. I hope you like it.

I got this guy as part of a batch of misprints from one of the 3D vendors at Reapercon last year. They were going to throw them away, but we got to talking, and once they found out I do conversions, they offered them to me as spare parts. His weapon was broken off and missing, so I gave him a replacement from the weapon sprues that Reaper made a few Kickstarters ago. The base is do 3D printed; I bought a bunch at Reapercon. Let me know what you think, please.

So.... Back when I first joined the forums, I found a thread about a certain Goblin painting a limited edition Ral Partha figure that I happened to own, but had been sitting in a box for 15-20 years due to the 'I'm not good enough' syndrome.... Well I decided that I Was Good Enough and set to work, as chronicled by this so as at the time of being a noob arround here, I was very encouraged by the multiple responses that I got.... such as:

So, Today I hosted Dilvish, Chaoswolf, and my neighbor Doug, for what we hope to be a monthly Frostgrave campaign... The table: The Deployments: Dilvish: Chaoswolf: Doug: Me It was, from my perspective, an interesting learning experience, as I lost first my wizard, then my apprentice, and 6 more of the 8 soldiers I started with..... Dilvish and Chaoswolf took more detailed notes than I did, so they will be able to tell the story better, but I went through quite a few D20s, and they all deserve to get hit with sledgehammers..... At least my wizard and apprentice survived, and I didn't lose anyone permanently, but I will be without 1 archer, and 2 thugs next game as they heal.... And I only got away with 1 treasure... I only got 90 exp, and just to gain a level, I had to choose the Laboratory option for my base to break the needed 100 points to gain a level.... I also discovered that My spell choices were not the best, and as it was the first game, the others consented to letting me change them.... Thanks guys! But it was a lot of fun, and hopefully I will do a bit better next game.... off to Koplow for a pile of D20..... And whatever Dilvish's wizard's name is, He needs to append "The Sniper" to them, as he found a 48" line of sight with minor obstructions, and killed 2 people with Bone darts.....

So last Paint day at the Citadel in Groton CT, I picked up the OOP Chainmail Mini Orc Druid, because folks on the hangouts were talking about him... 88713 Orc Druid So I spoke to Dilvish, Chaoswolf, & Pezler, (and David Brawley), and most of us have him, (David has an Orc Champion) and we decided to have a Hangout Group Paint of this guy, for the Month of February. Now Dilvish still needs to get one, and the Citadel still has a few extra.... So if you have this figure, or a Chainmail or other Orc Spell Caster, Join in and paint with us! This is not a contest, or any type of pressure event, it is just something for a bunch of folks to do and talk about while we are hanging out.... So Join in if you like... Watch if you like! George Current Hangout link: https://hangouts.goo...3ogteaq4nokgdae Edit: I plan on doing my own WiP Thread, and using my placeholder below to put 1 pic of the latest sessions work..... Edit #2 Should we pick one night a week for working specifically on this mini on the hangouts? If so, what night is best? (Obviously, this isn't any kind of mandatory thing, It would just be set up for everyone to be able to show off their work, as well as asking each other's opinions about things, as well as the "Does anyone know what that doohickey on his belt is????" type questions....) Edit #3 For those of you who don't have, or want to get the Chainmail figure, Reaper makes this guy: 02980: Quosk Ravensire, Half-Orc Druid ($4.99) James van Schaik

Here we are with the crazy WIP of how Slaying: Monday came to be. Be warned, this is very intensive and picture heavy. Show-off set up by CW here. First off, it's a bit of an inside joke between those of us who frequent the Randomness Thread(s). Chaoswolf (rping his wolf) and me (rping a coffee chugging barbarian) have set forth on an epic quest to slay the vile "Monday" who ruins their weekends. I set forth on my own quest to make the scene and used the White Dragon Tavern (as Flamehawke's establishment) complete with a wanted poster for Monday (who we don't have any idea what it actually looks like) and one of her kobold minions as a server. 1) Reaper SKU #03362: Kjell Bloodbear, Barbarian, sculpted by Matt Gubser with weapon swap to an Axe and skull mug (made from a creature skull) 2) Dark Sword Miniatures SKU #DSM5064, Greywind Dire Wolf, sculpted by Tom Meier. 3) Reaper Bones Kobold from SKU #77010 (had a spear and sword), I converted to holding a Hirst Arts mug and a platter/bread from Hirst Arts as well. 4) Reaper Bones Eldritch Demon’s Head only (sculpted by Jason Wiebe) SKU #77113 with some Reaper Creature Componets (SKU #’s 03440 and 03334).
