  1. So I posted these sketches for new sculpt ideas to my social medias and got some good feedback. Everyone seemed to be a big fan of the Raccoon and since he was one of my favorites from the pack also, I decided to sculpt him! I didn't have my phone with me to get pics of the initial wire frame and GS layer but I went over that with some Fimo clay and baked an underlying structure now and I'll start layering my Primo on top of that.
  2. I think I've collected every tool I might need right now to paint miniatures. I've got brushes. I've got paint. I've got a wet palette. I've got paint. I've got superglue and a little drill and all sorts of medium. I've got more paint than I probably need. And I've got a nice place to hole up and paint. But I haven't actually been painting. So, time for a goal! Happily, I've got something to use as a goal - earlier in January I got a kickstarter copy of Masmorra, and this month I should be receiving the Kickstarter rewards for Arcadia Quest: Inferno. Lots of grey plastic to paint, and it's a
  3. About Chibis are super deformed, yet adorable characters that have lately have made a splash in the boardgaming and miniature community with games such as Super Dungeon Explore, Arcadia Quest, Ninja All-Stars and many others. They're also featured in collectible figurines and in other geeky paraphernalia. This is the EIGHTH Chibi KickStarter run by Impact! Miniatures and Impact! is partnering with Chibi Capsule and Märchen to bring you some incredible, new Magical Girl chibi miniatures along with monsters for them to combat! The funding goal will pay for the scu
  4. This is it! I'm done painting the Bonesylvanians collection. That's twelve Bonesylvanians from 2014 and sixteen from 2015, all in pewter. I want to thank everyone who commented and give feedback along the way. It was a lot of fun moments and there is still a lot more to come. Here are the links to the individual 2015 Bonesylvanians; 01546, Tut the Pharaoh 01547, Cal the Skeleton 01555, Boris the Frankenstein 01556, Elsa the Bride of Frankenstein 01564, Max the Nosferatu 01565, Barb the Zombie Cheerleader 01566, Jacques the Fly 01567, Mar
  5. I was miserably ill last month. Gargling razor blades, everything hurt, and I could barely think. So I painted Death. But he's cute death, and I didn't really care if I fudged up a Bones chibi. I kinda hate painting skeletons, but eh, it was a relaxing paint job. Lots of "woulda shoulda coulda" on making the paint blend smoother, go for more contrast... blah blah. I was sick and decided to taunt Death a little by putting in less than 100% effort on him. Not too shabby for a figure that I may end up flinging on the table willy nilly.
  6. Hi again, everyone! Okay, so I know I was promising a good WIP thread, but I managed to finish this adorable little chibi up so fast that it would not have made for a very good thread. The next mini will be WIP material! I actually started on this mini last ReaperCon, where I used her as a demonstration miniature for my chibi painting class, and I ended up liking the results enough that I actually came back to her after all these months (while waiting for some supplies to arrive for a bigger project!). I simply love chibi minis, and the Reaper chibis are fantastic to work with!

  10. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1946588239/super-chibi-round-3?ref=hero_thanks What's Super Chibi Round 3? It's the next step in the Super Chibi miniatures line. What is Super Chibi? It's a shared universe that spans four interesting worlds, created by MidKnight Heroes. Each world has its own style and flare but is 100% pure Chibi. The Super Chibi worlds have everything from mecha and cyborgs to monsters and fantasy. Super Chibi are HQ 30mm multi-part resin miniatures they can be used for board games, role-playing games or simply collector's pieces. The sky is the limit! T
  11. I'm a big fan of JRPGs, and one of the things that I started doing right after I started painting up chibi miniatures was convert them to match some of my favorite characters. Here is a party of Light Warriors from the very first Final Fantasy game. Only the White Mage has been converted- for each of the others, there was a Super Dungeon mini that just worked for it. I intend to finish out the set with the last two classes. The Black Mage mini is part of the Super Dungeon Legends kickstarter, while the Red Mage will have to be converted. It is undisputed that you ne
  12. Hello all, I've been having a great time with my first stab at chibi - so much so that I decided to stop lurking and post something. I painted up Lou, Max, and Tish here in about a night each, and found them to be welcome departures from more time consuming work. Hope you enjoy - C&C welcome.
  13. Been feeling the Fall season, and have wanted to try a rough burlap texture....soooo here comes Patch! first time making a corn stalk from raffia, it's not bad but I'll need more practice before truly jazzed with it. The pumpkin is from the Reaper Pumpkins set. C&C always welcome!
  14. Ok, I’m a fan of the Final Fantasy series, and one of the things that I like to do is convert chibi minis into some of my favorite videogame characters. Naturally, one of my favorites is Auron from Final Fantasy X. He’s such a badass. I started out with the Goemon mini from Ninja All Stars (which is a fine mini in its own right). Everything that isn’t Goemon was made from green stuff. All together, I think he came out rather well.
  15. A while ago, Sodapop Miniatures released the Deeproot Scout- a character I think we can all agree had some inspiration in Nintendo's favorite elf. Naturally, my favorite incarnation of the Hero of Time to base him on (Link to the Past) as seen here The hair is red (even pink) because I was working from the pixel art rather than the art in the book. More recently, Sodapop released a resculpt of the character- so I decided that the best thing to do would be to level him up a bit. So here is my Deeproot Scout painted up as Link with Blue Male, the reforged Master Sword, red shield and
  16. About this project Sacred Sword is the world that our chibi miniature line belongs to. While the game and the world are not present in this project, it dictates our overall theme and feel. The Sacred Sword line will be a high fantasy world, with a distinctly classic RPG feel. Modeled heavily after your favorite classic JRPG games but with a lot of added character and flair. We hope to provide a compelling universe for both your favorite RPG engine or other games that you want to use these for. The Sacred Sword miniature line is a Chibi 32mm miniature line. These are cast
  17. This is my work so far on Goemon from the Ninja All Stars line of Sodapop miniatures. He is mostly done, but will need basing and to be sealed.
  18. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/674003445/chibi-giants-and-swarms-fantasy-rpg-miniatures/description New giant, old giants from the first chibi KS re-sized to 40mm (some thought the originals were too big to be bosses in a number of games like SDE/Arcadia Quest etc) and a Trojan Pony

  20. Hello again everyone! It's been a little while since I've had anything to show off, but I've been busily painting nonetheless, and I hope you all enjoy my latest piece: This awesome little chibi is one of Scale 75's Smog Rider miniatures, and you can rest assured that (with such awesome sculpting and casting on their part) I'll be looking to paint another mini from that line before too long! Thanks a bunch for looking!
  21. Hello again, everyone! Life has been busy, but I'm finally back to painting with this fun old warrior from Scale 75's Smog Riders line! Unfortunately, it is quite late and I'm quite tired, so this will be just a photo-drop post, but I'll be back with more info soon! Thanks for looking; I hope you like him so far!
  22. I have another installment in my painting up of Reaper's Boneslyvanian Chibis. Here is Bart. A uncharacteristically bright haired zombie. Enjoy. Thanks for any C&C you feel inspired to give.
  23. Here are a couple of fun little minis I painted up from The Forgotten King set. I'm not sure that there's much more to say about them. The NMM was fun:
  24. In my attempt to further clear up unfinished mini's I am calling her done. She might not be the best work I've done, but I love the character adding the cigar does to the mini. Hope you enjoy viewing her as much as I did painting her. Thanks for any C&C you feel inspired to give.
