  1. Since I have time of for a change an objective is to finish a mini per night to complete some Pathfinder parties and Frostgrave warbands. This one might serve as an apothecary.
  2. Today's work, trying to take a bite out of my pile of shame.
  3. Hello All, Here are photos of a 44007 Bones Black "Brother Hammond, Traveling Monk" I completed recently. Thank you for looking.
  4. She was an absolute delight to paint! Virtually no prep was needed, and the details were just remarkably crisp. Absolutely the most fun I’ve ever had painting a shield. The only complaint is that her eyes are really set in there deep, especially her left eye! Submitted for RCL in March 2023.
  5. Hello All, Here are photos of a 77468 Dark Heaven Bones "Christina, Female Human Cleric" I completed a few weeks ago. Thank you for looking.
  6. REAPER BONES GRAVE KNIGHT from BONES V I figured it's an Undead Cleric. No SKu yet. Part of my Children of the Night Project. WIP https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/28/ ****************** A Holy Warrior in life, healing his brethren and helping to fight evil. What happens when a foul necromancer raises such a noble warrior? ***************
  7. Hello All, Here are photos of a 03205 Dark Heaven Legends "Friar Stone, Traveling Monk" I completed last week. He has been having a bit too much of what is in his potion bottle and his cask. Thank you for looking.
  8. Hello All, Here re photos of a 07066 Bones Dungeon Dwellers "Thess Ironfaith, Female Cleric" miniature I completed a few weeks ago. Thank you for looking.
  9. Hello All, Here are photos of a Bones Black 44071 "Dark Elf Priestess - Drow Cleric" I completed early last year. Thank you for looking.
  10. The body is from a tehnolog roman and the arms, head and shield are from an oathmark dwarf infantry sprue! It was a very fun kitbash and a qucik paintjob 🙂 Thanks for looking!
  11. The main point of this guy was to force myself to focus heavily on colors I tend to shy away from (specifically, white and yellow). I also experimented with a different type of skin tone. The design on the shield took forever, but I'm happy with the results. Looking back, I can definitely see where I could have taken the highlights further on the armor.
  12. o I finished Thregan this morning with a second application of water effect... Added a few tufts and some Green Turf Blend as well.. WIP here So here he is! Comments appreciated! The Drow No to find the female Thief / Assassin in the pile of lead...
  13. Another one of my old ones. The armor is based off of Sebastian Vael (a DLC character from Dragon Age 2...lame character, cool armor). I mixed some silver in with the white to give it some shimmer.
  14. Yesterday was a hectic day at work, so when it came to be lunch time I wanted to close my computer and take a complete break from things. It was raining, so walking seemed like it would be unpleasant. I decided to pull out the paint set I keep at the office and have a go at this old Ral Partha cleric. I didn’t set an actual timer for a speedpaint challenge, but this was right up on an hour. I don’t usually use yellow, so I was experimenting. As finished (before varnish), the shading on the yellows are not quite as smooth as I would like them to be. Two coats of varnish (one by brush to protect the figure to get it home, and one spray after the basing is completed) will, as I know from experience, smooth things out a bit more. I’ll post pictures of the based figure after the spray varnish sometime later today. A few weeks ago I inventoried my true 25mm individually based fantasy figures suitable for a vintage D&D game, and concluded that I was very short on armored mace-wielding clerics in the classic D&D mode, and that I had no recently painted bards at all. I pulled out a male and female in each category and cleaned them up on Tuesday (plus a stray female thief) and brush-primed them on Wednesday. Five figures seems like a manageable goal to reach before some other Muse comes along to drop off a random bit of inspiration. 😆 I would like all five of these figures to be a departure from my usual color palette, but we’ll see… This figure is part of a group of 8 Wizards and Clerics sold by Ral Partha as a boxed set in a range they called The Adventurers, which eventually reached a total of 15 sets. Sculpting was a mix of Dennis Mize, Julie Guthrie and Tom Meier. While not specifically identified on the Lost Minis Wiki, this figure has a marking on the base (somewhat visible in the top picture by the head of the mace) of “ES73”, which suggests that it was originally intended as a 4th figure in the Personalities and Things that go Bump in the Night “Clerics” set (ES-73 or 01-073), and therefore is presumably a Tom Meier.
  15. I recently finished up this book nook. I was inspired by Black Magic Craft (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxOWFbYNTOo&fbclid=IwAR0KPsFmpNYhvNHcca_3uWtP4U3fLk1F8InSrhXuLQB94Fj0EPAc_wwDbHo). I made this for a good friend that I have played DND with who is moving and wanted a little going away present to give to him. Painted with mix of Reaper Paints and Vallejo paints. The terrain is 3D printed, stalagmites are from Thingiverse and the ruins are from Printable Scenery (https://www.printablescenery.com/) that I modified on Meshmixer. This was my first time working with poured resin and LED lighting, was a lot of fun and now I am definitely going to make one for myself.
  16. Painted this a few years ago when Darren Latham put up his tutorial on textured cloth. I've since had a bit more practice with the technique - this cloak looks more like creature hide than cloth, but it's still visually interesting. The light coloured robe was a pain to get not-chalky, and it still doesn;t photograph particularly well. .
  17. Hey everyone, here's the second priest from the 02950, Townsfolk VII Clergy set sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  18. Here comes Friar Tuck the Merry Man. 02950, Townsfolk VII: Clergy (A) sculpted by Bobby Jackson. That was a fun one to paint.
  19. Hey everyone, here's the third priest of the 02950, Townsfolk VII Clergy set sculpted by Bobby Jackson Plus, a group picture.
  20. I have to confess when I pulled this guy out of the core set I thought it was a goblin. In particular, it reminded me of a certain space goblin that backwards talks in riddles he does, mmmn. So he's green.
  21. His arm must be hiding some really strong muscles to be able to swing that GIANT flail. So do Gnoll Clerics cast spells? If so they should be Gnoll appropriate. Like making someone drool uncontrollably. Or giving someone fleas or the Mange.
  22. Hello everyone, here's the result of my first attempt at sky and earth non metallic metal (SENMM). This Dark Heaven Legends model 02023, Tolzar Righteous Arm was sculpted by Sandra Garrity. I started painting it during RVE (Reaper Virtual Expo). I painted the cape as I was following along Ian Markon's class on blending through Layering and Feathering. I then painted the freehand at the bottom of the cape during Brice Cocanour's Beginner Freehand class. I finally painted his armor, shield and hammer head using the SENMM technique. It's my first take at Sky and Earth Non Metallic Metal. I did my best to reflect the sunset on all metallic parts. Let me know what you think.
  23. Hello everyone, today is a Pathfinder day. I did my best to paint it as faithfully as possible respecting the original artwork colors. This is the metal version 60136, Aglanda the herald of Razmir sculpted by Bobby Jackson. It's also available in Bones plastic under sku: 89040.
  24. Hello everyone, I completed this Dark Dwarf today. I really enjoy painting these Duergar models. They remind me of the D&D Forge of Fury adventure module. This one is the Irontongue Priest sku 03883. It was sculpted by Bobby Jackson.
  25. This model is a Dark Sword Miniatures masterpiece of a sculpt by Jeff Grace. Never before have I seen so many tiny etchings on plate armor, especially on a figure that is barely 1.6 inches high. I feel a bit let down by my red OSL, but then again, this was only my second real attempt at the process, which is surely one I need to practice more.
