  1. 404:Law not fund kickstarter launches I know this isn't strictly a miniatures kickstarter, but I just wanted to spread the word about a fun new board game that a friend has developed and is kickstarting from today. I've done a small amount of the hundreds of hours of play testing that has gone into this game, with the mechanics being very well stress tested. In the game you play robots on a spaceship who have had their basic laws rewritten. Instead of trying to protect human life, obey human orders and try not to be destroyed, you might need to clone the ship's monkey, shoot a crew member out of a missile tube and hide all the spacesuits. The first person to complete their secret commands wins! Moves are based on choosing from a hand of cards, but your fellow robots' actions can send you widely off course, with spectacular results. The game is designed for 2-6 players, and takes about an hour to play. It cost just 28 pounds (about 45 dollars), which includes free delivery to the US and the EU. The kickstarter has made a solid start in the few hours it's been up, but the stretch goals look particularly interesting, so a push towards them will be really appreciated.

  3. I just came across this one: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1680924898/tabletop-castles It's fold-up, laminated artcard castle pieces. The detail looks pretty and after backing Dwarven Forge before asking myself "where am I gonna put all that?" the idea of fold-away terrain is appealing. This is the sort of thing I'll take to the FLGS to put on the war gaming table and then pack up and take home easily.
  4. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1181012115/animazombs-soft-toys-series-1?ref=search Not a miniature Kickstarter but weird enough that it may appeal to some others here. Plush interactive zombie animals. Interactive features include plush removable guts or brains, exposable innards or plush bugs that you can stuff the zombie hamster with. 9 different animals, Elephant, Giraffe, Meerkat, Shark, Octopus, Lobster, Dog, Rabbit, Hamster Available without box for slightly cheaper and relatively low postage outside for outside the UK, less than it cost for a CD to come from US to UK. I want that shark,
  5. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/michaelmindes/dungeon-roll-a-dicey-dungeon-delve A light-weight, press-your-luck fantasy dice game.
  6. And interesting take on Virtual Tabletop gaming: 3D Virtual Tabletop Of course, while I doubt it will replace getting together and using miniatures ... I always like setting the dead ones on their sides or taking them off the table ... it would be cool to capture the feel over the interwebs. A relatively reasonable buy in at $9 gets you a year subscription. Check it out.
  7. Here is one that pushes all my buttons. Gathering, building, and killing zombies! I love Minecraft and I love killing zombies and this combines the two quite nicely. And the devs are in the Dallas, TX area (per the KS location) so I'm able to make the flimsy excuse that I'm fueling the local economy. 7 Days to Die Kickstarter I am most assuredly a backer on this one already. I sprung for the 'alpha access' level, which is not normal for me. http://youtu.be/mVFc0esJiSQ
  8. "Hey, you got Cthulhu in my Vikings!" "You got Vikings on my Cthulhu!" "MMMMM.... DELICIOUS!" Two great tastes that taste great together. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1569862606/cthulhu-vs-the-vikings-the-game-and-the-comic?ref=category EDIT: This actually looks kind of cool. Double EDIT: Do the playing pieces count as miniatures?
  9. I realize this type of game may or may not be appealing to people. I'm sharing as my wifes likeness is one of the cards showing her with her favorite hobby (Knitting), so watch the preview video and you see the Kyt card, that's her. Also, check out the game mechanics before you judge too heavily, they look pretty solid. http://igg.me/at/schoolgirlslovetentacles/x/4226011 Enjoy if it's up your alley!
  10. I'm surprised that someone hadn't linked this one yet http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rasalvatore/demonwars-reformation-0?ref=live
  11. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1812955737/bug-hunt-corridors Some laser-cut sci-fi tunnel terrain that looks pretty cool. Thinking Space Hulk, Fallout, kill team, Aliens, NOVA Corp, etc... I got in early and got the last early bird special (sorry :) ) Should look awesome painted up.
  12. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/670901595/creative-gamescapes-spaceship-x?ref=category Here is a kickstarter for multi-level plastic sci-fi corridors. There are also some miniatures of a spaceship's crew.

  14. The latest outing in the Weird Wars setting, this time taking place during the height of the Roman Empire, Weird Wars Rome is a historical game setting with a strong dash of supernatural horror mixed in. You play as Roman Legionaries fighting against Picts, Germans, and other barbarians, while also holding the line against the supernatural as well. And what's this? A stretch goal? Written by moi?
  15. For all you metal fans out there, and I know you exist , I am introducing you to the band Orissa, fronted by a good friend of mine, David Dodini. Currently, he plays all of the instruments you hear (and sings!) excluding the drums. But rest assured! David has stated that he will find high quality musicians to help him out when he is able to go tour. Here is the link to the KS page for Orissa: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/198226983/orissa-recording-our-first-full-length-album-resur Be sure and check out Update 3. David created this hilarious video called "Rock Band Sues Satan!" David has also had an interview with Sound Crave magazine further talking about his band and the KS campaign: http://soundcravemagazine.com/david-from-orissa-interviewed/ Even if you are not a fan of metal, I am sure that you know someone who is. Please help Wild Bill's friend David out by passing this along to someone you know so that he can get his album made. I will end this with a quote from the interview: "Progression, Brilliance and Passion are the key elements in Orissa's music. It made me appreciate what well written music sounds like. It's more than metal. I hope the world is ready for this!" - Keith Lovett, Soundcrave Magazine \m/ Wild Bill
  16. After 16 years the band has gotten back together to create a new album called New Constellation. They are releasing it without a studio supporting them. It is strictly the band , the fans and kickstarter. I am super excited about this. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/toadthewetsprocket/new-studio-album-from-toad-the-wet-sprocket?ref=banner
  17. Resina Planet are doing an Indiegogo campaign to fund a new game: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/euphoria-the-ultimate-reality-begins Have some of their old fantasy line, pretty nice figs, but what puts me off backing is I can't really make sense of the perks. Are the level 1, 2 and 3 rewards included in the higher ones the level 1, 2 and 3 perks? If not, what exactly are they? Maybe if my Spanish were better than their English it'd help make sense of things... ¿Se habla español? If so, can you make more sense of things?
  18. This is a Kickstarter I feel deeply for. I would love to see this succeed. Don't do it for me, do it for those poor gameless kids. Bring some happiness and valuable skills to their lives! This one is local to the north Texas area, so if you are close by there should be an even better reason to participate. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/230765980/t-a-b-l-e-tabletop-and-boardgame-learning-expo T.A.B.L.E.(Tabletop and Boardgame Learning Expo) March 29th through 30th, 2014 Roll2Play is planning a two day expo event to bring an audience together that normally doesn’t play table top games with those that do in the Coppell area. The theme is ‘How Gamers Make a Difference’. 20. I thought this was a pretty nice way to get a decent chainmail bag. Love the idea of adding rubber rings to allow more flexibility. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/259903200/stretchy-chainmail-dice-bags
  21. I couldn't find it listed anywhere but Troll Lord Games is having a kickstarter for their Haunted Highlands setting.
