Painting up cultists (I never want to see these guys again, btw), & I've come upon cultist #2 here & his somewhat identifiable object connected to his girdle. On his back he has a side pouch & then something. It's definitely something rolled up, but is it stuck inside a case or is the case part of the entire object???? a. scroll b. bedroll c. yoga mat d. insert idea here SKU: 77351 The metal version is a little clearer, as it shows it's not as thick as the rest. So most likely a scroll of some sorts, but I wanted to get other opinions before proceeding to paint this. Any ideas?

I don't play Frostgrave — I'm not even sure what it's all about — but I thought these figures were cool.

The ritual has done its work. From a distance, an eerie light shines through the trees. The ground quakes under the tread of colossal hooves. There is a rushing wind, the sound of snapping branches. An indescribable tune, notes in a strange scale and meter, music from beyond the stars, builds to a skirling crescendo. HE is come. The PIPER IN THE WOODS is here. Burning with potassium flame, attended by HIS servants. Behold! The Horned Lord approaches! Deception and concealment among HIS sacraments! The Masked Messenger, the False-Faced! IA! IA! The power of a God, called to earth! HIS votaries rejoice, even as they cower! WHAT. HAVE. WE. BROUGHT. FORTH (This is a Nolzur's Nightwalker, given a little bit mote pizazz than the all-black example. I knew immediately that with the bone-mask face and the horns, it was the perfect avatar for the cultists. GW contrasts and good setting sunlight on the translucent flames; a GW demon skull from their Skullz set manifested in the upraised hand.) Featuring Dulkathar, Gromtar, Dark Creeper, a couple of Crooked Dice cultists, and Dark Young from RAFM and Reaper. (Reaper's 77516 is the big one in green).

Before the known ages, the ancient gods, who were traveling through time and space, between galaxies and systems, between planets and moons, finally reached this small blue planet and its light gray moon. Millions of years ago, searching for the force on the dark side of this moon, they found the crystals that emitted enormous energy. They took it with them and returned to the blue planet. With the use of the power from other dimensions they try to warp the crystal and use it for their own dark plans. It quickly turned out that the crystal emitted too much power, a power that did not harmonize with the forces of the Ancient One. The symbiosis caused conflict and damage to the ancients. The warped crystal had been abandoned by them here... and for millions of years, it had lain, covered by layers of earth and sand in the darkness and silence... Hi. Greetings from Andrzej (Ater), Jakub (MiniaturesArtTeam), and Pawel (PJG_sculptor). For some time we were working together on something on the side which finally became a big miniature project. We plan to put it together in a board-battle game! But let's take small steps and start gently. In our first project, we want to offer you some miniatures from the world which were shown to us in the dreams by one guy, who calls himself Cthulhu (we know... it is quite weird, but the dreams were really cool). Inspired by these visions, we create a new universe in the dark, steampunk/dieselpunk climate. Now we want to show you our project and we cordially invite you not only to participate in the project itself but also to create it. Please, share your thoughts and opinions with us! Please come closer, sit down and hear a story about the Crystocracy. Instagram Facebook Kickstarter

Assembled my crew and prepped and primed them. Two clopsen troopers, a lizardman recruit, sniper and another recruit/ chisler. A gnoll commando, medic and recruit, and a cultist recruit/hacker and trooper. Edit: It is a bit funny that My crew isn't using much of the actual Stargrave miniatures other than a few arms and guns, but then this is just the first crew, and I'll need some ruffians and pirates as well.

Posted on the off chance that there's any forumites that still haven't discovered Midlam's Kickstarters... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/cult-of-the-moon-goddess/description Story Alberon is a vast and ancient world, with many unknowable mysteries, whether that be in the depths of the earth, across exotic lands and the very heavens themselves. There are thirteen major moons that may be seen in the night sky at different times, and their behaviour, phases and conjunctions are oft studied for omens and portents by astrologers and diviners. Some moons are worshipped as deities in their own right. One of the most powerful and ancient moon cults, with devotees in many of the lands and city states which once formed the Old Empire, is the Cult of the Moon Goddess. Little is known of this cult, for it is highly secretive. What is known is that they worship only one of the moons of Alberon's skies, the old moon. This moon is said to be able drive men mad and grant great powers to those it favours, when it is full. The Cult of the Moon Goddess is not proscribed in Midlam, although in some cities it has attracted heavy sanctions, which has resulted in the cult directing it's wrath on the often patriarchal governments. But what the cults greater motives are, whether good or ill, it is difficult to say, for their inner workings and identities are protected by sacred oaths. But you would be wise not cross their path... Cult of the Moon Goddess A collection of twelve 28mm cultists, for all of your fantasy adventures, from Midlam Miniatures. Welcome to our third Kickstarter to cover some of the strange and unusual cults that operate within old Midlam town. NOTE: We aim to ship this May 2020, not May 2022 as it says in the description. We fear the Moon Goddess Cult knows we're onto them and are using their powerful magic against us! Will there be a Stretch Goal? We typically announce a modest (and most importantly - achievable without delays!) stretch goal of an extra miniature, a week or so into the campaign. This will be free (with no extra postage) for those who back the full pledge (and anyone pledging for one or two miniatures will be able to choose that miniature as one of their reward miniatures).

Love these guys, I may have to buy the other versions Otherworld has of their cultists. I love how all of their models look the way I envision D&D.

Tabletop cultists for my dnd game. I wanted them to have a look that I could either use to be sinister and evil, or even 'good' cultists that have gone too far...the leaders feature red and blue while their subordinates feature green and blue. I chose to do metallic masks of varying metal types and shades. My goal was to work on the speed at which I paint things like NMM so that I can get results without agonizing as I might for a competition piece.

So I received my Harwood Hobbies cultists miniatures. I decided to try and make a warband out of them:[spoiler photo to come] Mr Karswell: Sigilist Ritual Leader: Apprentice 3 axe cultists+ executioner=melee/thugs the enforcer (w/ machinegun)= ranged I have a few more slots, so I'll need to see what other cultist minis I have, and whether they fit. Maybe I'll add Bones 3 cultists, or my Crooked Dice cultists I suppose I may choose some other school than sigilist, it's just that with the spellbooks, they LOOK like sigilists. I wish summoning weren't an opposed school, however. And also, just in case, I'll be doing a 2 priest setup as well, they make more sense as sigiists (also with books) leaving the cultists as a summoner warband.

Even with last month's minis still grumbling on the table, like a Lovecraftian protagonist I shamble onward further...for All Months Are One in Yog-Sothoth! IA! IA!...sorry about that...anyhow here are the upcoming victims.... Santa Mousling and Helper, who are mostly done thankfully. Two Mariel Twinspars. They will be the 3rd and 4th time painting her, and are intended as gifts for the long suffering waitresses who put up with me each Weds. These having an actual time limit, will be started later today. Two Shrines, an Obelisk, and an Eldritch Demon. Only 3 terrain pieces this time so hopefully grey fatigue won't be an issue. 5 Cultists. I'm hoping I can get the Witch Hunters done and off the table before starting these because they're gonna brawl if I don't! 5 Deep Ones. I may attempt some converting/limb movement on the Bones Priest so as to differenciate him from his metal counterpart. The Santa Dwarf is the only other actual Christmas mini in the lineup, (but who knows what the 12 days of Reaper might bring..) and both version of S'Kara the Skoli who I have a vague plan to work into a project involving York Peppermint Patties... And Vikings. Because nothing captures the spirit of the Holidays quite like Vikings! They're might wind up in the January thread however, depending on how far out of the hole I can dig myself...

These are Reaper's 77351: Cultists in Bones, sculpted by Bobby Jackson. For some reason this paint was seriously resistant to a matte finish on Bones. Oh, well.

Have had to rush some minis for our ongoing Dnd campaign, Hoard of the Dragon Queen. Am not the DM but paint the minis. All Reaper Bones that started with Army Painter ink washes in one colour over the whole thing. Then using Vallejo paints as base layers and finishing off with another ink wash to tie things together. The Drakes are "young fire dragons" with the wings cut off. With more time I would have sorted out the two stumps where each wing was. The Lizardman is standing in for a troglodyte and the Lilies are standing in for Violet Fungi. The cultists are just the Mythos / Cthulu cultists. There is a roper as well. Can really recommend lining Bones with ink as a liner which I know a lot of others recommend. The whole lot took 3 hours so it is a quick way of getting things onto the table.

As implied in the thread title: A) I painted these over the long weekend, B) I intend to use them as members of one of the Cults of the Dragon Below in my upcoming Eberron campaign, and C) I have no idea where these minis came from. I mean, I know that I procured them as part of a lot from my FLGS, but they came loose and I don't know a manufacturer, sculptor, etc. There's not any stamp on them anywhere, so no clues there. I got these three, and two more of each figure with exposed heads (the one with the hood up is the only copy of that pose)...so they may have come in a set of three, or a set of seven with one leader figure, or they may be three separate products and I just got doubles. EDIT: They come from Old Glory's SuperFigs line, where they are sold in packs of five. The guy on the right of my photos below is actually the unique "leader" model. Thanks, @strawhat for pointing me the right way! Anyway, pretty generic cult-mooks, and I gave them correspondingly generic color schemes. The robes are a progression of Walnut Brown, Blackened Brown and Bright Red; the hoods and sashes are Carnage Red up through Saffron Sunset into Sunlight Yellow. Skin is Golden Skin mixed up or down with Desert Sand and Walnut Brown. Probably not as much contrast as they could have, but they'll be decent mooks on the table. C&C always welcome, and if anyone can identify them, please do so!

Earlier this week I got my hands on a set of bones 3 mythos cultists. I'm not really that into cthulhu, but I do love a crazy looking cult. So I went with purple robes with bronze weapons, and painted the faces as masks. Not really sure if they were meant to be masks, but I think it worked.

Joined an ongoing Pathfinder campaign, and made these to match the current enemies we have been fighting. One mage, and three thugs. Got basing left to do.: The mage is actually a Warhammer Flagellant with some elven bits. Edit for adding all pics to first post.: Edit: I've now used some more of my cultists for a Blood Bowl team. And there are still a few left on the sprues! This kit has such awesome value. They were all batch painted, last night, after using a couple to choose the scheme.:

In addition to the new releases, I had ordered another box of Cultists to my Gnickstarter order. I figured it would be good to build some of the new Soldier types. The Cult: A Crowmaster, with the addition of a Mage Knight's severed arm: A Tunnel Fighter: A Treasure Hunter: Some Knightly types (or at least guys with shields: A Thief: A Javelineer, with arms from the Fireforge Mongols and a spear from...somewhere?

Again, some washed out photos due to the lack of lighting during the winter storm, but I recently finished a bunch of Cultists. I built them with the idea of using them in both Frostgrave as random encounters or a warband, and as Cult of the Possessed in Mordheim. First we have some character types: The Magister/Wizard: The Apprentice: The Mutants: Darksouls/Barbarians: And the group:

I've been working on some conversions for the new Cultists from Frostgrave. I tried to set them up to pull double-duty as Cult of the Possessed for Mordheim. I really enjoy this kit, I'm going to have to get a second one just for sci-fi conversions...I've used up almost all the parts already.
