  1. I finished painting a model for the Freeblades game, and thought I would share her here. She is Taneyva, a bodyguard for the Blackthorn bandit faction. I recently got a few of the Freeblades models to see how they were, and this one is the first I've had a chance to do. After looking at the expression she had - such a remarkable scowl - and having seen the "Quiet Man" over St. Patrick's Day, I had to paint her a red head. I haven't painted red hair very often, so I liked that this would be a challenge. I built up layers from brown until I finally got something I was happy with. The legs had some roughness on the sculpt that I didn't notice until well into painting, and I'm letting it go for now.
