  1. "Worse things happen at sea," the saying goes. Here is one of those Worse Things: Father Dagon, God-king of the Deep Ones, Lord of the Waters. This is a truly tremendous sculpt, colossal in size and bulk. He comes with four limbs, three tail-pieces, a phosphoresent angler lure, and a big ol' base with a big ol' eldritch obelisk. Here's the turnaround: Peekaboo! And here are some top-down views; there's simply too much Dagon to be captured by any one angle. A suitable antagonist/boss for a pulp submarine faction! Here is the etiology of the Innsmouth Degener
  2. Another monster from the deep. Wish I had the talent to do this justice, oh well I guess I will keep practicing. Just a quick preview before it goes into the scrub bucket.
  3. I finished! Unfortunately he doesn't fit in my light box quite right so I had to just use my blanket as a back drop. The lighting could be better also. Overall I'm really happy with him. Spoiled for big pictures.
  4. I started painting Dagon a few days ago. He's very much still in the beginning stages. All my paints are MSP unless otherwise specified. Here's what I've done so far: Washed and blue liner-ed and started a base coat of Marine Teal. Then a little more work on the fins with Twilight Purple, Gem Purple, and Amethyst Purple but they have a long way to go still.
  5. I'm starting to get lost here, so I figured I'd make an index of stuff I've posted. Many of these are loaded with enough pics and text that they're almost mini-tutorials. Questions and comments are always welcome. If you don't get a reply within a couple days, find me on Facebook, or add me on Battle.net (Xumenicus#1118). 6. It's been a while since I painted some Reaper mini's... but now that this little sweetheart crawled upon my doorstep, I really couldn't resist assembling him hoping to start painting soon. It'll be a little longer than 7 days I'm sure, and I have to hide him from my 3-year-old daughter... (to avoid her having nightmares)... but I'm glad I can finally start :-) It's also gonna be the first Bones fig I'm painting... and I'm pretty excited to try it out :-) Btw, compliments to the creators of this figure, what a lovely sculpt and concept!!
  7. I recently finished the Dagon Statue terrain pieces from Bones 3. Nothing fancy, but a series of drybrushed layers. Step by step can be found here: http://allbonesabout.blogspot.com/2017/08/dagon-statue-bones-3-terrain.html
  8. Basecoated this guy to figure out what color scheme i wanted to do. I rather like the olive and red
