A Reaper Wraith from Bones V WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ Finally got my mojo back and finished a mini again. *********** The one we all like to avoid, but in the end, he'll be there. Oh look, see how the sand has fallen? It's time, don't be afraid, it'll be quick, he's quite handy with that scythe, then again he had centuries to practice.. **************

The painting theme of the month has been chosen! The Undead of October will emerge from their (freshly painted) graves The miniatures have been selected… Here’s what's on the painting table:9 Bones Skeletons (from Bones 2)6 Undying (Death, minotaur, lizardman, elf, halfling, & dwarf skeletons from Bones 3)Bone Fiend (Bones 2)4 mummies (Bones 2)Hecklemeyer & Styx (25th Anniversary mini)Dust King & Tomb (Bones 3)Demi-Lich (Bones 2)3 Nefsokar mummies (Bones 1)26 (or 28 if you count the broken tomb and the tiny puppet) minis, in 31 days? Less if you count the vacation in the middle of the month… Plus one day since I started on the last day of September. Granted, the skeletons should all go really quickly, but even still, it’ll be a push to get it done, but this would push me over 100 minis for 2018… Since everything is already lined with brown liner, the plan is:Dirty Bone on all the bone and mummy wrapping!Scorched Metal all the armor and weapons Heavy Sepia Wash pretty much everythingHighlightsSpecial Minis:Demi-Lich - Thinking green/purple flames?Hecklemeyer - Black & White costume? Black, White, & Red?Nefsokar mummies - Lots of gold and bronze. Dust King - Seriously tempted to paint it up like the ice lich from Warcraft… As for their bases? That’s a little more work. The skeletons, bone fiend, and maybe the dust king will get bases to match the flocking on the tombstones. The demi-lich and hecklemeyer will probably get some sort of sculpted flagstone base. The mummies? Haven’t decided. Seriously tempted to give them dungeon flagstone bases too… Okay, so it’s really unlikely I’ll finish all of these in October, but maybe by November?

Talos- The city of Talos is a back water city state nominally controlled by the Quentrian Empire. Originally a kingdom controlling a large area of the micro-continent it inhabits, it was conquered over 200 years ago by the Quentrians. It's harbor was used a staging point for further Quentrian expansion. With the troubles plaguing Quent from their other conquests, Talos has been left to wither. An ineffectual Governor theoretically rules, but as the posting is seen a punishment and the current governor is barely capable of finding his next wineskin, a group of the native Talosian nobility manages most day to day functions. Most resources were siphoned off to support the Empire's conquests, and Talosian fortunes were in decline prior to being absorbed. Most industry is centered around the capital, with only some farms and the estates of the nobles surrounding. Away from the temperate coastal region, the land is rocky and rugged, not fit for farming. Isolated hill tribes and humanoid encampments are the only inhabitants, though stories tell of other creatures that haunt the hinterlands. Some venture inland to collect rare spices and herbs found only in the wild, and dotting the landscape are ruins hint at a time prior to Talosians. Five years ago, a prospector found unusual metal deposits; Mithral,. The deposit was unusually pure and has draw many outside interests to Talos. In addition to the mithral and other mineral wealth, strange artifacts have been found in some of the ruins, drawing a different kind of attention. These new arrivals and industries have revitalized Talos, wakening the backwater city, casting off the erosion of time restoring the city to some of it's former glory. It is here, at this point of history that you find yourself in Talos. Perhaps you are newly arrived, looking to make a name and a fortune for yourself; perhaps to hide yourself from dangerous enemies in this far away place. Or you may be a native of Talos, looking to improve your station, or steer the destiny of your motherland. All that matters is that opportunity favors the bold, the quick-witted, the adventurous. Please excuse the bent halberd. It was a little off when I took the pics and of course I didn't notice at the time.

Couple of bones. I tried to make the freehand on the death knight's cloak match his shield. I imagined him as a paladin in magic armor that still held it's shine. The Cloud Giant was my first attempt at tartan. Also, i thought his base looked cool (and it was easy!) Both are shaded metallics (still working on improving that) Hope you like.

This is a miniature I've had for a long time. Painted it when I was young. :) Still love the model. So much personality.
