  1. I hadn't been looking for these two, but when they popped up on a site selling discontinued minis I couldn't pass them up. Here's our knight in rumpled armor, Jack Spade. Reminds me of a line from a book by one of my favorite authors: "...wearing a suit the color of wet concrete, and the expression of a man who has just realized the wetness is piss." I'm pleased with getting the shadow on the door here. Go poking your nose in people's business, and some people hire a plug-ugly palooka to poke back! Fortunately, Jack has Dot Kruckenberg, his girl Friday and amanuensis, to keep him out of too much trouble. Not a dame for mixing it up, but she knows how to handle herself... and how to handle her revolver. Together they...well, not exactly fight crime. But they take steps towards justice, as much as two little people can in a crummy world like this. Coupla extra pics of Crime Not Paying. The only trouble is, Virtue don't have such deep pockets, neither. The motorbike cops are from RAFM Cthulhu, classic edition. BONUS: Noirification!
  2. Good evening all you Reaper hooligans! So another figure finished, this time a Ral Partha Shadowrun Female Detective, sculpted by Dave Summers, probably latter eighties to early nineties. Kind of difficult with the eyes because they were small little balls, but otherwise, pretty okay with how she turned out. Gun a little too blue, but probably won't ever fix that I'm guessing. I kind of like this figure because she's from their Shadowrun line, but she could easily be any normal, modern detective gal. I tried to do very a mild colored blouse, pinkish, with a grey skirt and jacket. This is also the first time I've worked on pantyhose, so let me know what you guys think. It was after painting her legs as normal skin color, I did some washes of first storm grey, then Dark elf skin shadow, and then finally black. Anyhow, let me know what y ou think about the pantyhose and hope you enjoy!
  3. Things have been a little rough for me lately and I haven't been painting, but last week my dear husband got some paints out and I started working on random stuff. Here is Max Decker ready for the table. Not terribly sexy or exciting, but a nice sculpt none the less.
  4. Since I sacrificed Max's twin to make John Wick (http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/62332-john-wick-max-decker-50051-heavily-modified-picture-heavy/), I decided I should make things right and paint up Max in his pristine state as well. Maybe he will get to be in a Savage World one-shot sometime.
