  1. Need to work on my basing. Still, I don't think this little Hasslefree piece came out TOO badly. Cavewoman stock Hasslefree, from the recent kickstarter; dinosaur, a slightly altered plastic dino I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby; Reaper base; GF9 static grass, with flowers scavenged from a Box Of Goodwill. The tree was the hard part; I needed a prehistoric looking giant conifer, so I started with a metal rod, coated with greenstuff, and began sculpting up, layer by later, with no small effort... I'm a far worse sculptor than even I think I am... and finally, after completion, I layer paint

  3. I diverted myself from my February goals a bit this morning to have a go at this: The scale isn’t obvious, but it’s about 3.5” long, and it’s a vintage lead piece from Superior Models. Superior popped up toward the end of my first phase of fantasy miniatures collecting, so I didn’t have too many of them back in the day. This one is copyright 1980 according to the bottom. With our Ghost Archipelago campaign ramping up, I’m probably painting a few more vintage dinosaurs soon, as well as some “not-Sleestaks” from Interloper Miniatures.
  4. RAFM Hartha the Death Machine, Orc War Triceratops. A great vintage lead kit.. Of course it HAD to go into my Lost World Project. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=105 Enjoy!
  5. About this project As you probably know, dice tower is used by players to roll the dice in the most equitable manner. Dice are dropped on top of the tower, and bounce through a variety of hidden platforms before emerging from the front. Dice towers are created to eliminate fraud and ensure a truly random result. We designed a lot of dice towers before, but we still want to create new ones or new variations of towers we have. We aim to improve all the time and deliver even better products for gamers community than we did in the past. For that, we need not only our creativ
  6. I needed another large monster for my Lost World Project. WIP and Stories here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ This time I painted the Ral Partha T-Rex. Based her on a resin Jungle base from Micro Art Studios, it has some nice touches like a conquistadore's skull, frogs and a lizard. I named her Trixy. Hope you like her:
  7. Hi all, To start of the year well, I decided to clear some of my primed but not yet painted minis. Here are 2 variations of Blaine (Mantic's mascot) I got from Dungeon Saga and KoW rewards. The version on foot was not very inspiring... but the mounted one was really fun (what is not to like to have a predator looking guy riding a dino!). For the dino, I tried something a bit different from my usual paint job and started with a 2 tone base coat (green an yellow) that I then covered all around with a camo green wash. I'm quite happy with the result. C&C Welcome. Blaine Moun
  8. An overview of my efforts in 2016. Thanks to you all liking, commenting and chatting I've become more productive. Also I feel like I'm improving. Thank you all for your input and silliness. 9. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fossilpunkfoundry/sauriana-54mm-miniatures-game?ref=category_newest Sauriana is a 54mm miniature wargame set in an alternate 19th century, rife with dinosaurs, explorers, adventure and intrigue.
  10. I was little surprised not to find a post about this one: Cretacea: The game of gargantuan survival It is a rule set to play skirmish games with Dinosaurs. Sadly no minis. It is 1:100, but I'm sure it should be possible for 28-32mm, too.
  11. I spotted this big dragon/dino thing on a blog page. Can anyone ID the maker or source? I would like to find one. The blogger said he found it at a garden store. Spoilered for huge 1600x1280 picture.
  12. A face off between a victorious hunter and a scavenging layabout. The dead Parasaurolophus is hand-sculpted by me WIP thread here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/61699-mine-wip-diorama/page-8#entry1393003
  13. I give you a T-Rex from DSA ( Das Schwarze Auge - The Dark Eye) an OOP German Manufacturer. He will be part of my Lost World Army. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-army-of-the-lost-world-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures/
  14. Finished enough, I think. My flashy Carnotaurus, on the prowl for prey or a pretty female Carnotaurus to impress her with his flashy colors
  15. Pulled this one out of the cabinet to get started, figured take a break from speed mass paints and try to work on something slower and more detailed Just blocking in a speculative pattern as a base coat. Carnotaurus is thought to have lived in a coastal floodplain, and I originally considered something green or blue to match, I decided to go with brown and striped because it sounded more fun to paint.
  16. I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun. It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians. Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects. I will happily include any monster I think will fit. Khanjira will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God. I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your) fun to create. EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has dev

  18. This year the minis I manage to paint will all count towards the resolutionary challenge. As per the resolutionary painting challenge guidelines, I will post them here, and link in my post in the challenge thread. With the refurbishment of the old house complete and it now up for sale, I have at last some time to paint a miniature or two. It has been more than a month since I touched a brush smaller than two inches wide, and I have come to the conclusion that I utterly detest redecorating houses, especially everything that involves masking tape. You might have seen the legless rapt
  19. Here's a force I've worked on in a few batches. The concept for the force is that the Wraithguard are all ancient machines that the Exodites maintain, while riding dinosaurs into battle. Here's the force's farseer, and three Wraithguard that I added recently.
  20. Using 2 raptors from 06198 that I got from the melt table/boneyard this last ReaperCon (minus arms for now) So I had this idea of a pair of raptors, with a dominant one perched on a kill and warning off a rival. Sculpey base for now, and I'll do finer detail with green stuff once it's baked I clipped the alpha raptor's foot off the base so I could tilt him up to have one foot on the parasaurolophus carcass
  21. Here is the TOTALLY AWESOME figure I received as part of the 2015 Spring figure exchange! Flamehawke did an amazing job painting and basing this incredible figure! Huzzah! --OneBoot :D
  22. Hello all! So it's a couple days after ReaperCon, and I had a blast! For my first official after RC, I've chosen to FINALLY paint up the Mounted Dino Rider from Warzone. This was one of the prizes I really wanted to win during the Spaceship Superstar contest put on so generously by Jasper! At any rate, this one should be fast and furious as I want to move on to projects that will push the things I learned at RC. With that said, this prep job took quite a while! LOL! So... nothing super spectacular yet! I should also note that I'm adapting to a Pixel Chromebook, so please excuse
  23. OneBoot got her mini! I can share the limited pics I have. I'm sure she will take better ones. Anyways here is the mini I painted for the Spring Exchange 2015 Sorry if they look blurry a bit. Its why I'm hoping OneBoot can take better pictures of it.
  24. I needed some Deinonychuses for Pathfinder and lo and behold, Reaper has some! They are labeled Velociraptors, after Jurassic Park, but that's just how it goes. Velociraptor really is a cooler-sounding name. No feathers, but I wasn't ambitious enough this time to add them. One of these days I'll get far enough in front of my tabletop gaming to do something with actual blending in it, but today is not that day. These guys took about four hours each, most of which was me trying to undo an early mistake--basecoating in 09669, Reptilian Green! I hadn't used it on anything big before, an
  25. Compsognathuses for my husband. I suspect I'm gonna to be attacked by them real soon. My husband's plan for getting all the minis he needs painted for tabletop RPGs is to hand part of them to. So I know they are going to be trouble soon, but not sure which game or when. I wanted to make them look feathered, but I couldn't figure out how to paint a feather texture. Any got any tips or tutorials for it?
