  1. Am going to use these for Frostgrave and Rangers of Shadow Deep so avoided too 'evil' a colour scheme. There is so much character in Fruella in particular. It's just that air of having your ex husband's head in a sack...
  2. Painted up this Lich using washes and coloured primer again. Then applied lots of pastels for a desaturated grimy look. The base is gloss mod podge over dark blue grey, with some sweepings from a bag of logs stuck on whilst wet, and the whole thing given an umber wash when glue was dry. Really love this figure and again good to see it in Bones and as a one piece mini.
  3. Here is my favourite mini from the Bones 4 kickstarter. I just find the idea brilliant and it was very easy to paint. The turtle is based on a Vallejo Japanese green primer, washed with green, and leather and red brown primer, washed with sepia. Then worked up from there. The handler was initially red brown, washed with Army Painter mid brown. Water effect with gloss mod podge again, and fixed the tufts in whilst the glue was wet. Would happily back a KS entirely dedicated to a flintstones style community in Dreadmere based in employing various turtles, dinos, lizards
  4. I decided to stop being silly and start posting my progress here. :) For this diorama, I'm using 02648: Schumacher, 03631: Quoralei, and 77511: Xiloxoch with some pretty heavy modifications. This is going to be a long post. Strap in and get ready! The concept for my diorama starts with me deciding what a swamp mermaid (or 'Meremaid) looked like. I got on pinterest and started looking around for evil mermaids, etc. I know that, historically, mermaids/sirens lured men to their death, but generally speaking people think more Ariel anymore. I didn't want that. I wanted someth
  5. Presenting D'Vandra Lukesia, the final member of my Dreadmere Begins quartet. Despite having some trouble with her in the beginning, I'm pleased with the final results. It's just a shame my bottle of Vallejo Still Water has failed me yet again, no more water effect bases for me I think. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  6. Presenting The Herald, the third member of my Dreadmere group. At the suggestion of Crowley, I added more tentacles to connect him to his base a bit better. While I'm happy with how this went, I don't think he's as well painted as the other two. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  7. Presenting Jakob Knochengard - Zombie Slayer, the first finished mini from my Dreadmere Begins WIP thread. I've been really taken with the minis Reaper have been producing for their Dreadmere setting, hopefully a few more of the ones they're doing for Bones 4 get released in metal. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  8. Presenting Andowyn - The Mischievous Druid, the second finished mini from my Dreadmere Begins WIP thread. I loved how detail heavy Andowyn turned out to be, she's just covered in stuff! As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  9. What the heck is Dreadmere? I am diggin these new minis but was curious as to what Dreadmere is. Is the name for a line of minis or a town in Warlord or Pathfinder? Anybody know?
