  1. Hello All, Here is a 30089 Bones USA "Dorn Ironspike, Dwarf Warrior" I completed recently. Thank you for looking.
  2. Hello All, Here is a "Dust King and Crypt" miniature set I completed a few weeks ago. Thank you for looking.
  3. Hello All, Here is a recent work. "Male Revenant" 77301. I did change out the head. I removed the original head and replaced it with a skull. The skull was pinned in place. When I first saw the miniature, it made me think of the old Scooby Doo cartoon villains. So, I painted the skull to look like it is glowing a bit with glowing pinpoint eyes. Thank you for looking.
  4. Her bendy blades lull her enemies into a false sense of security... .
  5. Hello everyone! This was one of my entries in the Pathfinder painting contest. Here's 60001, Valeros the fighter sculpted by Bobby Jackson. The event was a great source of motivation for me, I painted four models in total.
  6. Hello everyone, sorry for this guy lack of decent clothing. I guess it makes sense to be dressed like this when you're a slave fighting in the scorching arena of Thule. This Warlord 14652, Necropolis Chattel model was sculpted by Stefan Niehues.
  7. Here is the next project for “Try to paint all the things!” I plan to paint her as a very light skinned elf. I might try an Autumnal color scheme.
  8. Hi everyone. Here is the fifth Orcs I painted last week. 14198, Gangorak the Reven Hero sculpted by Ben Siens. I painted it with Reaper's MSP acrylic paint and ink.
  9. Hi everyone, it's an Orcish Weekend. Here is 14270, Dantral the half-Orc, Reven Captain sculpted by Gene Van Horne. This model is from the Warlord line and part of the Reven faction. I painted it with Reaper's MSP acrylic paint and ink.
  10. I don’t often do WIP. I figured I’d start one. I’m still working toward Reign of Winter Adventure Path appropriate models. Kord has a Viking vibe. He’s been trimmed, washed, brown-liner primered. I removed the glued on piece of his wolf pelt to get at other stuff. I’ll glue it on later, then green stuff and finish painting. I’m blocking in basecoats now. Skin and furs so far.
  11. Opened this one up and got it primed when I noticed a very significant case of mold-slippage. The details on her right side and left arm just didn’t line up, and I don’t have the skill to file/green stuff it away. So, rather than weep and save the mini for a melt table, she became practice! This ended up being a combination of speedpaint, demimetallic experimentation, and basing attempt, 3-4 hours total work including lots of futzing with paint mixes on my palette. The results: Oh, and I made her a Dark Elf to try more white hair. The purple metal is Royal Purple and Filigree Silver, mixed in varying degrees. Other metallics tended to un-purple the mix too much (except New Gold, but that’s a different look). I think she’s supposed to have gauntlets, but due to the casting issues these became cloth sleeves. In the end she turned out far better than expected, so I’m glad I didn’t give up. One less potential resident of the shelf of shame. Comments and critiques welcome, as always.
  12. This was the Secret Sophie mini I painted for Auberon this year. One of the "inspiration" pictures he sent me was described as "not technically a chainmail bikini." So I just decided to go with an unabashed chainmail bikini. I experimented a bit and used NMM on the armor and blades. I'm happy with the placement on the gold, but I think it needs more contrast. I'm happy with the contrast on the steel, but the placement is definitely wrong somehow. Comments on how to improve this are welcome.
  13. Hello guys! I have not posted in a while, hope you like this mini I painted last month. C&c welcomed.
  14. I think this is an old Citadel barbarian figure that I finished last night. He was actually a 'paint catcher' ( an old/broken figure I keep around to test paint ideas on ) for a while that I decided to actually finish off. He's a little rough, I did him in a couple hours to get myself back into painting after a few weeks of nothing. I hope you like him, he'll be serving as a thug in one of my Frostgrave warbands. I'm also not positive on the manufacturer; please let me know if I'm wrong and I'll correct the post.
  15. This is an old Grenadier models lion-man that I finished the other day. Tabletop as usual. I hope you like him.
  16. Kirin the Heretic from Reaper's Pathfinder Miniatures Range. I painted this a while ago but forgot to post it.
  17. Hey all! Been a bit busy lately as the semester is back in full swing and I'm in the middle of packing to move. My paints aren't put away yet (of course) so to try and practice, I painted up Thund here a few days ago. I somehow missed the giant mold line across his head until I looked at the picture just now. Sigh. His cloak gave me problems too. I did actually wash it, but I don't know if I then left him standing up and the wash ran out of the crevices of his cloak or if I just reapplied too much paint when drybrushing or both but by the end I was just frustrated and sorta vindictively sealed him and called him done. He'll suffice for sitting on the tabletop at least. C&C welcome as always! And any tips on the cloak issue would be appreciated too.
  18. This figure is one of a set of 8 female adventurers that Ral Partha released as a boxed set many, many years ago. I have set (but not the box), and they were all painted up (badly) in my youthful exuberance. I came across them while looking for something else and decided to fix them up. This is the first one that I've finished. Since these ladies are true 25mm scale, they'll probably be used as halflings or gnomes. I hope you like her.
  19. This is an old Grenadier figure I've had hanging around on my shelf of shame for ever. I don't know if I stopped liking the sculpt as mush as I did when I first got it, or my paint scheme was lousy, or what, but he's been about 75% painted for about 12 years. I pulled him down and decided to finish him up yesterday. I touched up a few things about his old paint job, finished him off and based him. It's only done to table top levels, but at least he's (finally) done.
  20. Hey there Reaper pips! Just finished painting a dual wielding rouge/thief. Critiques to help me improve are most welcome. Thanks in advance.
  21. Woldvagner the Elder from Red Box Games. I have stared to delve into my RBG collection. I'm moderately happy with how this figure turned out. I really need to work on the eyes for future RBG miniatures. I feel that something might be missing but I can't put my finger on it.
  22. Here's one with which I wound up pretty happy. Julie Guthrie's Ridley Darkedge, Male Rogue. I even kind of gave him eyes. Sort of. Bit of a flaw around the crown of his head, didn't smooth out right, accidentally totally obscured it in the pictures, and it was beyond my skills as a fixer of minis. Love this sculpt all the same, though. Thanks for looking!
  23. Brynjar Thorir from Red Box Games. Another atempt to cure my "tre-manor-indimitating-sculpts"-phobia. I'm trying to finally cure it this year. I'm not sold on my coloring but overall I'm satisfied with the result.
  24. New dude posting! Here's what I'm currently working on, in spare time as I find it. Had some snow days from classes, so I knocked out a few minis. This one isn't quite done yet. Neither are the others, really.
  25. Just remembered that I finished Kalyna from Hasslefree Miniatures a while back. I'm happy with most of the mini, except the face. I remember thinking it could easily turn into a miss when I bought the miniature and turns out I was right.
