Mine diorama I made based off of the adventure "A deep and creeping darkness" that is in the "Candlekeep Mysteries" anthology book for D&D 5e. I'm really happy how this turned out. Included are: Human Fighter Cassiatta - sku 77204 from bones 1 Dwarf fighter Fulumbar - sku 77011 from Bones 1 Sorcerer Magus Battleguard - sku ? from bones 3? - simple head swap from a human monk Meenlock's 3d printed Comments welcomed Thanks.

One step closer to having the full Dungeon Dwellers set finished! I tried a lot of different stuff here, most for the first time! Such as... -Full NMM armor -Freehand on cloak -Painted highlights on liquid -A unique gem in the shield (Watermelon Tourmaline) -A tiny bit of OSL on the eyes

So I've been printing the Fat Dragon Games dungeon tile that I received back durimg one of the Bones KSs. Finally got to paimting them all. Figured that I should start a topic to record what I end up doimg with them. Here is the second batch that I painted drying. I primed them with my air brush and black Stylnrez, followed by succesibe layers of medium and light gray craft paints. I used a 1 inch trim brush for tje drybrushing.

Welcome to this Thanksgiving holiday WIP already in progress. This was my project while waiting for dinner today. This 3D printed dungeon dressing, spell effect or future demon base is from Tomb Guardian Miniatures out of Ohio. I had to sand out some low-res ridges and some connection points but it was quick work. I already painted the interior of the symbols and lines with bright colors. Reaper Candlelight, Reaper Runic Glow and Cavboss Coolant Green as well as Vallejo Stencil. The stonework is Reaper Dungeon Grey, naturally. Up next is to add the glow effect to the runes and lines and perhaps speckle and mark up the stonework with another couple of greys. Enjoy and stay tuned.

After painting the Cavern tiles, I am feeling ambitious (and avoiding work) so I am going to try and paint these tiles too. I bought these two sets from eBay a while back and one came painted (albeit pooryl), the other unpainted. I think I will leave the painted ones as is and attempt to finish the unpainted today. It is a race before my gaming group shows up to play board games in four hours.

Hello all! Here are a few pics of my second official terrain project. It's a castle/boss chamber, I suppose. I didn't really have anything in mind when I started building it; I was just fooling around with my new molds, tinkering with dry stacking. This eventually emerged. I built it using Hirst Arts molds and bits from both Reaper and Mini Monsters. The Reaper parts are Large Sarcophagus (77540) and parts from Magic Treasures II and III. I made the flags from salad container plastic and various bits; one of these days I would like to go back and paint more detailed flags and replace these. I see so much amazing freehand banner work and I have artist envy...! Happy painting, Laura

Started painting the core set heroes of Sword&Sorcery, very nice dungeon crawler. Hope u like it!

I tried my hand at making some simple dungeon tiles. They are made from a material similar to foam core, but without the paper. The pieces are cut to size, scored with a pen, and then rolled with a wad of aluminum foil to add texture. The tiles had a tendency to curl because of the scoring, so I glued each one to another unscored piece. The pieces were then primed and given two highlights. All in all, I think they turned out really well. The project cost less that $15 and only took a few hours. Here is an action shot.

Okay prepare for lengthy thought..... ​(Before it dies of neglect and loneliness....) Whilst on the hangouts over this weekend, the old "dungeon romps" that we used to do in these threads was mentioned, I believe by Adept Legacy. As we batted the Idea around, we wondered if people would be interested in painting up their "Forum Personae" for use in a diorama. It would go something like this, (Maybe) People find a mini that they feel represents them self in their "forum personae" IE A Drow Elf for myself, the axe toting Barbarian with an INT dump stat for Ub3r, a Jedi Hamster for David B, etc (you folks get the idea!) and paint it up by ReaperCon 2017. (That would give us over a year.....) Someone (Some group?) that builds terrain, and lives close enough to Reaper HQ to be able to transport it there, could build some dungeon terrain of various sorts to place all of the minis on as our erratic, eclectic, eccentric adventuring party..... (Hopefully with a mushroom patch or two.... ) (Size to be determined by number of folks that 'sign up') Everyone brings (or mails for those that can't attend) their contribution to the thing, and it is set up there for us all to look and smile and remember things.... Then, everything gets donated to Reaper for display in their corporate HQ, as a THANK YOU! from all of us for hosting such a wonderful Insane Asylum forum for us all to play in..... Would anyone be interested in doing something like this????? And does Reaper have a place that they could display it? Maybe it could become a yearly thing, that new folks bring "Themselves" to add in, and if folks change their personae, they could change their mini too! I can only imagine some of the possibilities.... (Certain 'people' sneaking and peeking from air vents for example.....) George

These are some resin dungeon- and garden-type stone walls. The first are from Ainsty Castings, and they were dreamy to work with. Crisp, flawless molds, tight details, and a paint-receptive surface. The second are from Novus Design Studio, and they ... weren't. There appear to have been many tiny bubbles in the master molds, causing lots of little spherical blisters on the model. The major frustration was that they were water and paint repellent. I had to jump through many hoops to get paint to adhere to their upper parts. Ainsty Castings #1001, 9 cm Dungeon Wall: #1005, 6cm Dungeon Wall Door Section (door is removable and I didn't glue it in) For scale, images with Reaper's 77131, Finaela, Pirate, and Ral Partha / Ironwind Metals Ciera, Swordmistress: Just as a brief break from walls, these are Ainsty Castings #1209, 6cm x 6 cm Dungeon Floor with Small Grill. Details: The Novus Design Studio walls came in a set of six: two each of small, medium, and long walls. Each had a plain stone design on one side and a large skull in an arch on the other. The stones were modeled completely flat. I painted up the skull decorations as if someone was keeping them crudely painted, with cream, black, and red paint. I grew tired of plain grey stones, so added a lot of lichen. The little bubble flaws from the moldmaking process I painted red and figured if anyone asked, they are little fungi. I finished up my Dwarven Forge KS1 tiles this week. This picture includes all of my painted dungeon themed terrain (including 80 Stones Dungeon Tiles). Hi, I recently received the reward of another Kickstarter i backed: Dungeon Saga from Mantic. It is a dungeon crawler board game about a typical adventuring party (barbarian, dwarf, elf and mage) exploring a dungeon filled with undead and a necromancer. I really wanted to try the game, but before I felt that I needed to paint up the minis included in the base set. They are made of the regular board game soft plastic, but it surprisingly keeps a lot of details. And there is a lot to paint (between dungeon dwellers and furniture) So, my "painting strategy" was speed and efficacy. Most of the minis were simply base-coated and then applied a dark wash, with the occasional drybrush (or a bit of layered highlight on a couple of them). Also, since in the game, there are 2 identical sculpt of each minion, I tried to vary a bit the colour schemes to keep it interesting. Some minis look quite dark... but that fits with the creepy dungeon atmosphere... and dark is faster to paint too.
