I have a ridiculously long running project that I work on when I have the whim. I have been using Eldar guardian arms, weapons, and helmets with the old jetbike rider leather jacket torso and high elf archer legs to create Eldar Corsairs. I'm hoping that starting a thread will motivate me to get back to this but if nothing else I'm pretty happy with the conversions so at least others can see them. Here's the first batch of pics (this is the ones I happen to already have pictures for).

I had two of the Deep One Priest and Servitor pack and thought it would be fairly straightforward to do an arm swap on one of the pairs. Turns out I was right. The staff arm for the priest is a glued socket joint so I just pried it out of the socket. I then carefully cut the same arm from the servitor at the shoulder joint. I drilled the servitor arm and the socket of the priest and joined the two with a pin cut from a plastruct rod (probably unnecessary, but I like overkill). On the servitor, I used my dremel to rough out a socket for the key post on the priest arm and glued them together. I then did very minor greenstuff on the seams of both. I also did a minor reposition on the servitor that wasn't altered. Here are comparison shots between original priest and servitor with their altered counterparts.

I have built a massive power plant terrain piece for use in various science fiction wargames such as 40K, Shadowar Armageddon, Necromunda, Rogue Stars, etc. I used a good portion of three Pegasus Hobbies 4909 - Power Plant Construction Set. This kit has a ridiculous number of parts that can be assembled in a huge number of variations almost as easily as Lego. I have a large number of pipes left over but no more generators and wall panels. I do have some floor panels left over and can remove the generators and stand them on those if I need freestanding smaller pieces or more room in the main piece. Indeed, with a bit of effort I could disassemble the entire thing and reassemble it differently (though I don't see that happening). I intend to mount this to a piece of thin MDF for ease of transport. May eventually paint it but frankly it looks pretty good as it is. Here are photos of the plant from above and from each side. Also included are two of the generators popped out and placed on extra floor panels and a shot of one of them by itself.

My Fire Demon was missing his lower jaw so I liberated Goroloth's head to replace it. At that point his wings weren't impressive enough and he some new ones from Rauthuros. The whole conversion took an hour and a half. Due to the nature of the wing conversion and needing everything stable while I figured out how to attach them I had to glue everything but the shoulder pads, hands, and base together. Those pieces will not be glued till at least base coating. Also have to do some minor greenstuff blending around the wing joins and between the head and neck. I may potentially swap out the sword for something else, trident maybe. At any rate, here's the pictures!

I like Jason Wiebe's not-Orcus (Demon Lord of the Undead) but I wanted mine with less puny legs. So I cut through upper and lower legs and added aluminum rods to both to fairly closely match the length of the Wolf Demon's legs. I then went back with greenstuff and filled in, matching musculature from the original sculpt just adjusted for the longer legs. I also like the Fire Demon's wings better and as I had a spare pair lying around I have borged them onto not-Orcus. Upper leg greenstuffing is done, lower legs need another pass for detail as do the wing joins. I also adjusted the angle of the tail and lengthened it slightly. Possible further conversions include swapping out the horns for the ones from the Fire Demon and possibly lengthening the mace shaft to make it more of a grand mace. I haven't decided what I'm doing with the base yet. It will likely be 60mm and I may incorporate the original base into it. I'm also somewhat tempted to put a Hellboy-esque large stone hand on the non-mace side but will probably resist that temptation. Anyway, here's where I'm at currently with the conversion. Sorry no pics for the earlier steps, I wasn't initially going to do a WIP.

I sculpted Kittythulhu for a friend's birthday in 2008 and actually documented the process for a change. Unfortunately, I didn't think about actually doing anything with the pictures until pretty late in the process so the early ones I used are not great quality. Thought I would share though as Kittythulhu was the first fig I sculpted from scratch. First the progression:

One of the things I love about Frostgrave is that you can use pretty much anything model wise. With the ridiculous ease of converting bones, I decided that I want to work on an Arachnid (Drider) warband for whenever I cycle into a new wizard down the road. This is the first beginnings of the first three models. This is the all the cutting and assembly done on a wizard, apprentice, and a knight. I build all of them on Arachnid Warrior lower bodies with the wizard using Liella the Dark Elf Wizard, the apprentice using Andriessa the Female Wizard, and the knight using Cassiatta for their upper bodies. basically just cut off their legs and shaved a bit to get them to match torso length with the female arachnid archer's body. had to cut some of Cassiatta's shield out and readjust her arms and I will need to redo the wizard staffs. Some other minor green stuff work needed but they are far enough along that you can get the picture.

Was bored at work so I started doodling in Bones. I call this kitbash a Bathalian Maw. It's the Primarch with the arms from the Centurion and the mouth from an Erynth Grask. It's to the point of needing a bit of greenstuff to marry the face to the head better. Also might use a second Primarch to extend the torso and give it a second set of arms with the original Primarch arms below the current Centurion ones. If I do I'm likely to borg in part of the second Primarch's tail to lengthen the tail to balance the longer torso. Anyway, it's kept me amused for a half hour or so which was its main purpose. Also, I hate how hard it is to get good photos of unpainted Bones.

I decided that the Wolf demon needed a better tail so I took one from the giant scorpion and borged it onto him. Minor greenstuff blending at the join to follow and I need to repair some weirdness with his right lower leg.

These are 3 Warhammer Fantasy Lizardman Kroxigors (big lizardmen) that I painted up just because I liked the models. The blueish one is the champion and his sorta triceratops skull helmet is sculpted from Milliput with plastic horns. I'm still really happy with these guys except for that skull, it feels like it doesn't have enough detail to me now.

Because I have the laser like focus of your average mayfly, I have another Nurgle Chaos Marine Daemon Prince conversion in the works in addition to my currently running one with the Eldritch Demon from Bones. This one involves the head of the Caller's undead giant rat mount from Necromunda(out of print GW figure) combined with the Nurgle Daemon Prince from GW (if you search on that on their store you will find it). I am putting up my initial kitbash of the two (minus arms) to solicit ideas for the base. I'm tempted to wait for the Bones KS2 figures to come out and put the fat, nurgling looking devils from the..er..Devils option on the base with some additional sculpting. Or I could use some of my plethora of rats. Thoughts?

So with trepidation I am starting a thread to track the likely painfully slow and experimental process of mashing up the Bones Eldritch Demon with a Games Workshop Chaos Space Marine Daemon Prince. Lots of Greenstuff will be involved. Probably blood and tears as well. I have the initial blush of an idea of what I want to accomplish but large sections are essentially going to be sketching with greenstuff. The plan is for this to end up as a Black Legion Daemon Prince that is Lovecraft Mythos meets 40K Chaos. I picked Black Legion for this because I already have Daemon Princes finished/in progress for all the 40K Chaos Gods and their Legions so I figured this would work as an unaligned Prince which fits best with Black Legion. And I think the paint scheme will be wicked. For this project we will be using: 1) Head and wings from the Bones 77113 Eldritch Demon. 2) The front of the 40K Chaos Marine Daemon Prince chest and it's arms. Not the back half as you can also build a fantasy version of the daemon with this kit and the back is shared between the two models and looks better with the fantasy version. Also, it is easier to put the Eldritch Demon wings more organically into the model this way. Or so I tell myself. 3) What is likely to be a ton of greenstuff since the back and the entire lower body plus any random detail I decide to add will need to be sculpted. Let's just say the lower half involves tentacles not legs. Side note for mods, I had a heck of a time deciding what forum this went in between CP&T, WIP, and Sculpting. If I picked wrong, feel free to move me. Here's some pics of the upper body in the 'slap some greenstuff on it and see if we like the shape' stage.

This is my take on Typhus, Death Guard champion of Nurgle. Added a nurgling to his base and swapped his scythe blade out for a glaive because I thought it looked more awesome on him and I wanted to steal his scythe blade for a daemon prince conversion. Note, I have decided that taking pictures of Nurgle paint schemes is a major pain. The nastiness looks awesome for the force but taking pictures is a bear.

This rhino tank conversion (Games Workshop 40K vehicle) was an exercise in making it look like it had fought the 10,000 year crusade to unseat the corpse-emperor without any trips to the maintenance depot. Painted it up for Nurgle's Death Guard (pestilence and decay) but refrained from mutating it much. I'm pretty pleased with the nastiness, though if I had an airbrush I probably could have done muuuuuch better.

This is an unaligned 'Skaven Marine' Daemon Prince I did for a friend of mine several years ago. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I don't have the figure to take better quality. Mashup of the Vermin Lord with the Chaos Marine Prince. The back pack spikey balls are from Plague monks. The pet rat is a Barrow Rat (02544) from Reaper. I really love this model, probably more than my Death Guard Vermin Lord conversion that I kept.

This is the first of my 40k Chaos Marine Daemon Prince conversions from a few years back, a Daemon Prince/Skaven Vermin Lord mashup for Nurgle. I'm still very pleased with the conversion and paint on this figure and probably wouldn't change anything if I did it now.

Here is one of my earlier daemon prince conversions. The model is largely just repositioned with added detail scupted but the backpack heads are from Kroot Hounds, the head is from an old Epic titan, and the head piece is from an old Necromunda staff. I'm reasonably pleased with the paint job still, though I could do better now. Might eventually touch it up a bit.

I bought an extra Bones gnoll warrior with flail to convert to carrying a spear instead. Pretty simple conversion, I just cut the flail off above and below the paw and drilled through where the remaining haft was gripped in his hand being careful not to damage the fingers. Then I took a length of Evergreen brand plastic rod and forced it through the resulting hole. It gripped it so well that I probably could get away without gluing it at all but I did put a small drop of CA glue just to be sure. Then I drilled a hole in the tip of the pole. Next I dug up a piece of spikey frippery intended for a 40k Chaos Rhino and cut one of the spikes off. Then I drilled a hole in its base. I glued a pin made from a paper clip in the hole on the end of the pole and then glued the spike on the pin as a spear tip. This spear is pretty chunky but since the Bones gnolls are a bit larger than the gnolls I already own I am planning to use them as Fiendish gnolls to lead the others so I think it appropriate that he's carrying a massive skewering spear. At any rate, I'm pleased with the conversion and it took all of 15 minutes, including digging around looking for something to use for a spear tip. This conversion was easy enough and turned out well enough that I'm sorely tempted to pick up 3 or 4 more flail gnolls for conversion to spear carriers. On a side note, I only took pics of the finished product because I had a devil of a time getting the Bones material to show up with detail rather than as a white blob. The pics I finally settled on are still pretty crappy but at least you can see what's going on with the conversion. Ironically, I screwed around trying to get pics to post longer than it took to do the conversion.
