  1. Hello again, everyone! I've been something of a slacker lately when it comes to making an appearance on the forums, but I certainly have been painting, so I hope you'll forgive my absence! At last ReaperCon, several of the other artists were strongly urging me to finally try a larger mini than the standard 28 mm Heroic minis that (until now) comprised 100% of my collection. I responded by picking up a mini there, but, sadly, the casting of the figure was not as nice as I would have liked, and so I never mustered the nerve to get started. With this lovely miniature, however, the casting was simply wonderful, and the whole miniature was a joy to work with! Anyway, without any further ado, please meet Pyrrha (really Excelsy by Ares Mythologic/Draconia)! Thanks a bunch for looking!!!
  2. Hello again, everyone! Well, I still can hardly believe that I can say this now, but... I won the Gold Sophie for the ReaperCon 2016 Painters Category!!! There were so many awesome entries, and I am super honored and humbled that everyone liked this piece so much! You all just make painting so much fun (as I've said many times before), and I simply loved talking with you about all of our minis and every facet of our shared hobby! The mini itself was the ReaperCon 2015 Hall of Fame Dinner exclusive mini, and so I did not think that he would ever officially be released, but then I saw him in the coming releases display at ReaperCon! Who knows? Maybe that means he'll be a part of Bones IV!!! I added the tentacles by starting with an old leaded-pewter TSR space worm of some kind that I got from Jasper after a forum painting contest a few years ago, and then I sculpted the scales and suckers with green stuff. If you're curious, you can see the whole WIP starting here. Thanks so much for looking, and I can't wait to see everyone again next ReaperCon!!!
