  1. Been in a funk these last few day where don't feel like painting but did manage to take some pictures of the two I did last weekend.
  2. This one I painted a few years ago. I'm pretty happy with the stones on the base. I wouldn't trust her when I got sick though. New Pics taken for the Pandemic Challenge
  3. Here one of my works this past months; an old (now discontinued) mini from Freebooter miniatures. It had a gloomy melancholic look, so I went with a dark palette around 3 main colors: dark green, blue and purple.
  4. Have nearly finished the next model in my batch of Freebooters Fate pirates. The mini is sold as "Crazy Perez". Am happy with everything apart from the face. I used Vallejo medium skin tone (aimed at looking like 'Asian' skin) and highlighted that after a brown wash with medium skin tone mixed with pale sand. Not the look I was after but am trying to learn skin tones. One nice things about these figures is that you get the sculpted metal base insert so all I will need to do is highlight the wood and stone details then this bit should be done.
  5. This is Marshalla Sylvie from Freebooter Miniatures. In my Lost World she is Bonita, Half Pirate / Half Snake. I gave painted her base as if she was on driftwood in the water. Had fun with the Snake part and tried a little sheer on her blouse. WIP and Lost World Stories here http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=103 Enjoy:
  6. This is a very old miniature, from Games Workshop I think, which I've had sitting on my desk undercoated for years and years. It came in a blister of two versions: this one, and a mounted figure. It was actually the mounted figure I was looking for when I came to finally get around to painting it, but I couldn't find it, so this guy finally got the treatment. It's designed for a plastic slotta-base, which I hate, so I've mounted him on a 22mm washer and built up the ground with GreenStuff. I briefly considered adding some foliage, but that stuff catches the dust like you wouldn't believe, and is impossible to clean properly. So, he gets to stand on bare rock.
  7. I started this as a Halloween project. Things got in the way and now it is an autumn piece. Any way I had fun. I bought a ceramic Pumpkin, converted it into a house. Reaper's Elise Witch http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/elise/latest/02869And Freebooter's Chaos Witch both sculpted by Werner Klocke are conjuring pumpkins. These are now wandering off into the world to cause mayhem, The pumpkins are part Ristul's Market and I used the Owl on a Pumpkin from the Reaper Halloween Familiars http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Special%20Edition%20Figures/sku-down/01548 And I added the great Halloween Tree from Reaper: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/halloween/sku-down/03692 Hope you like it. Some Pumpkins are a bit in the ground, so they are emerging.
  8. I started building a display piece, a vignette, diorama or whatever you want to call it. It will probably be too late for Halloween but then it will be a Fall / Autumn piece. Reaper 02869: Elise, The Witch and Freebooter Chaos Witch,, both by Werner Klocke will star the show. The idea is they live in this Pumpkin house ( obtained in a garden centre, added a plastic door from a board game) and they are conjuring spooky pumpkins. The Halloween tree stands next to their house. So here are the first pics.
  9. Here is the Vampire Queen herself. She has a Magic Sword guarded by her Crow familiar. Her faithful undead servant lights the way. I tried a bit of OSL on the servant, my first try. I don't think it worked out that well, but you gotta try right? The familiar and sword are from Reaper, pack X. The Vampire and Servant are from the Freebooter range, sculpted by Werner Klocke. Sorry about the quality of some pics, still struggling with the camera.
  10. And this is my regiment of Undead I'm working on. This is the Vampire Queen ( or maybe just her sister I haven't decided yet). She conquered a swamp, so she got an army of Undead and all kinds of swamp creatures. Right now she has to deal with an uprising of some of the swamp dwellers. Here she ( or sis) leads her regiment of mixed undead warriors to battle. All in her heraldry of reds and purples, with the snake symbol to show she owns the swamp.
  11. That's what Wikipedia tells me, in no uncertain terms. So, here it is. I have a large selection of miniatures that would make excellent Rogues (or Thieves, for us old schoolers), and I mean to get them painted. First up, we have a trio of Bushido minis for another Were-Fox character concept. A seductress, who's no stranger to fighting: Saki, Kitsune, and Fox Form: Next, is the amazing Dark Sword Female Assassin: Next up Eskin, Male Rogue: Then Vesper-On's The Duke: Gretchen vonKonigsmark from Raging Heroes will make an appearance as a gun-toting rogue: Along with Jirelle, Iconic Swashbuckler: And the Master Harlequina from Klockenbooty Freebooter Miniatures: Also making an appearance, once I get her in hand, is Lenore from Hasslefree. Not a rogue by description, she will be painted as one (and probably my favorite Thief of all time): You know the rules, anything goes! On with the show!
  12. While waiting for my miniature exchange mini to arrive, I started assembling a boat. Oh, and it flies!
  13. There is a sale going on for the month of March at Freebooter Miniatures, Werner Klocke's company. 50% off selected items, including some of my favorites, while supplies last. And yes I placed my order before I posted this. http://freebooterminiatures.de/en/news/2351
