    DSM: Angelica

Angelica is finally finished. I went back to my WIP thread, and I realized I started her over a year ago. She has been sitting on my desk waiting to be based for a while now. I decided to go with a relatively simple base. I really enjoyed painter her up.. I hope you enjoy seeing her finished up. I certainly do. Thanks for looking and any C&C you feel to give.
  2. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1658344233/rude-girls-female-orc-miniatures?ref=category_newest Linked instead of embedded because nudity.. About this project Hello all, You are looking for a female leader for your orc army, or just a cool miniature to paint ? Well, this is my first kickstarter, so don't be afraid if the layout is pretty basic, you will not find supershinywords or coolfantasybackground, it's not my style... What you see is what you get ! Few words about me. Miniatures sculptor for nearly 20 years, I've worked for a lot of famous companies like Rackham, PrivateerPress, Mierce, and many others... Today I want to create my own range, to explore my favorite themes in fantasy. All the minis are cast in resin by a skilled craftsman, here in France, no Chinese plastic here.
  3. This is probably the reason I don't finish miniatures to quickly. I decided to begin prepping up a figure from another KS I backed. The 3 figures in this pack are in parts and rather fragile pieces. I also had to look at the photo to see which pieces and how I'm going to have to put them together. Here is a shot of Angelica - the Half-Elf Warrior in pieces.
  4. These are my players for Chaos, in Blood Bowl. The Minotaur/Ogre and daemonettes, are from GW, and the Warriors are a mix of parts from GW, and Avatars of War.

    Kommander Sorscha

A buddy gave me his Khador army for Warmachine. While I figure out exactly how I want to paint my stompy robots, I thought I'd paint up one of my warcasters. The red actually fairly easy, if time-consuming. Once I started going for details, it was a little harder. I originally went with red with brown leather (now only on the gun holster), but it was looking pretty muddy. I changed it to black for the most part, but the details were really getting lost. Changing a lot of the black to purple really helped get things to pop. I used a lot of Scale75 paints, using their red and Metal 'n Alchemy sets. The rest was done primarily with Reaper paints, with a few Games Workshop washes. The base was looking very plain until I added in some vegetation. I think it helped with the framing pretty well.
  6. I was asked to paint Amiri (89005) in a classic wonder woman inspired paint theme, and I matched Virina (03084) to some concept art that was drawn by a player. both characters are being used for a marvel super hero game and come from foreign planets. For Amiri I removed her sword and pinned the ne staff threw the hand grip that was left over from the sword. As for Virina sense I knew I was going to have to free hand he cloths onto a nude figurine I started by sanding down her nipples and coating the part of the model where her top would be in Taniya White. I've noticed this paint tends to dry hard and smooth and would look more like the leather top and pants that are described the players, character description. I hope you like what you've seen I post here a fair amount but I post to my FB page more if you would like to check out my work there it would be appreciated

    03149 Justine, Undead Hunter

So what class would a Undead Hunter be? Paladin?
  8. Just wanted to post some pictures of a few figures I finished up recently in an effort to clear off some of the stuff that's been gathering dust on my paint table, so they'd be ready for the game table. I'm not 100% sure of the identity of each of these figures other than manufacturer. The first is an old Heartbeaker Hobbies and Games sword-woman. The second is a pirate from Eureka The third was some sort of witch or sorceress (I can't exactly remember), from the Deadlands game.

    03215 Jedeah Female Half Orc

Refreshing to see some female orc warriors.
  10. This time, just a duo of Dwarfettes from "Song of Blades and Heroes: The Golden Lantern Bearer: The Panther Pelter, painted up to be the pelt of a Mountain Lion instead:

    Spirit of Summer

I figured we could all use a little bit of Summer about now.

    Margara, Dwarf Mage

Meet Hatholda Stormforge, a firery wild magic sorceror with lots of charisma to spare! I had a hard time finding a mini for my D&D game but I think she looks like a sorc in these colors.

    Hosilla, Reaper Miniatures

Hosilla from Reaper's Pathfinder miniature line. Or the curious case of the miniature that looks better in the pictures than in real life! I painted this some while ago (last august) to be a stand in for Talis, a villain in the Horde of the Dragon Queen DnD adventure. I was rather pleased with the result except for how the face turned out. I think it looks similar to those "doll faces" that you see on the Wizkid produced prepainted DnD and Pathfinder miniatures. Strangly enough that doesn't show up in the photo. So this is the first miniature I've painted where the photo is better than the actual result :D

    Drys, Dryad (Bones) (77265)

This past week I painted the Drys, Dryad, figure from the Bones II, Sylvan Creatures set. Since I was in kind of a Frostgrave frame of mind when I was thinking about painting her, I decided I would try to paint her up in winter colors, like a dryad that has been unexpectedly awoken from her Winter sleep, and is not happy about it. 50246: Marie, She-Bot

Decided to do a quickie for the Marie She-bot from Metropolis. Went with the burnished metal look and a quick sculpted base to resemble concrete. The eyes didn't come out as piercing as I wanted, so might have to quickly revisit that
  16. An older one, but I enjoyed the sculpt. This is a continuation of my practice with purples.... Not much I could do, except the hair... I toyed with the idea of making her much darker looking... but in the end, this is more likely to end up with the PC minis, instead of a villain. Thanks for enjoying my art.

    02632 - Jahenna, Vampire

Greetings! I've had a couple of half finished Reaper vampires waiting in the (bat) wings for the best part of last year so I thought it was about time that I finished them off...... The first one, presented here, is Jahenna (the other one is Gastaroth). I've always wanted to have a go at painting sheer clothing so this is my first attempt at that. This mini, whilst being fully clothed, is somewhat sultry so I thought I'd better post external pics: Jahenna front Jahenna front left Jahenna rear left Jahenna rear Jahenna rear right Jahenna front right Comments are always welcome, thanks for looking!

    77091: Nienna, Female Elf Ranger

A quick paint job I threw together sometime last week. I avoided NMM and decided to invest the time I would have spent there into making her cloak pop out a bit instead.
  19. Elsabeth was my final Painters entry at ReaperCon. I wanted to do a piece with a limited pallet and only cool colors. I had just gotten RMSP Bones: Icy Violet and decided to play with that color on her skirt. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would.
  20. Here's Darkspace Hasami, which I finished today. She's a character from Soda Pop Miniature's Relic Knights game. This is the cosplay version of Hasami who works for an alternate faction, in this case, the Noh Empire. The costume is based off Ryuko Matoi's battle outfit from Kill la Kill (a very weird anime). The connection is that regular Hasami (hasami means "scissors" in Japanese) uses a giant pair of scissors, and Ryuko uses a "scissor blade," which is half of a giant pair of scissors (a scissor?). I had to watch a few episodes to learn that and figure out what was even going on with her outfit. The miniature is in the new resin material, which I think is produced by Prodos Games. It's definitely superior to the PVC they were using before, but is not without its faults. I painted the majority of the miniature at ReaperCon 2016, using the limited edition MSP Ghostly Moss. Other dominant colors are P3 Coal Black, MSP Clear Magenta, VGC Purple Ink and MSP Olive Skin Triad. A special shout-out to Adrift, who suggested the MSP Clear Magenta (he described it as Victoria's Secret Pink) for her panties which looked so great I used it in a bunch of other spots as well. I had a fun time getting a nice smooth blend on the scissors, but am not usually interested in spending that much time on minis.
  21. This past week I painted up the Imrijka, Iconic Inquisitor, figure from the Bones II Pathfinder Heroes set. I believe this figure is supposed to represent a half-orc character, but I chose to paint it up as a half-elf female instead. So, the first thing I did was very carefully try to slice off the fangs. What I couldn't get off with a hobby knife due to the cramped area under her hat, I hoped to disguise with paint. There was something about her outfit that read Old West Cowboy to me; so I decided I would go with that kind of earth-tone palette for this figure. And her coat and hat made her seem a good candidate for Frostgrave basing. I'm really happy with how this figure turned out. I think the "Western" look came across well; and I'm particularly pleased with how her face turned out. I have to say with me faces are a good deal of luck rather than skill. I'm not good at painting those tiny details, but sometimes, like with this figure, my squinting stabs with paint turn out to be in just the right places. :) For the complete, step-by-step painting article, please see my blog: Imrijka

    "The Blue Fairy" Hasslefree Conversion

This is a conversion of Hasslefree's Gen. I had pictured a mini sitting on a stone looking into a pond which sent me on a search that ended with Gen. Her pose was perfect for what I wanted and when thinking of exactly what to do, my mind went to the Blue Fairy. Blue for color as well as mood. So the conversion to her was that I removed her horns and knife, added wings, and added the leaves and flowers to her hair. She received a silver medal in the Open category at ReaperCon. The main feedback I received was I need better directional shading on the base, the way I painted her wings make them harder than the rest of the paint job (should have gone with a butterfly pattern which I planned on but ran out of time), and I need to up the difficulty in my conversions. Linked due to nudity: Blue Fairy 1 Blue Fairy 2 Blue Fairy 3 Blue Fairy 4 Blue Fairy 5
  23. Here is the Dragonborn Sorceress from Oathsworn Miniatures for "Heroines in Sensible Shoes" Kickstarter as Mutilated, I mean Painted by me. I tried to make a kind of Burn Scar Effect and Failed dismally I admit. I do like how the Torch Flame came out though. And now that I think on it, I should have posted this in the Work in Progress section, too. GF
