    Stonehaven halforc bard and fighter

So finally got these two finished, the two females first, and now I've got the two males pending to finish. One thing I'm a bit miffed at was that I didn't plan the grass well, so you actually can't see her delightfully painted toenails. Oh well, next time.....
  2. Been working on this guy lately. Trying to knock the dust off my brushes a little. The pics are fair but I need to still purchase a photo box so cell phone it is.. I gave him a beard cause he wanted one. He will add to my unending pile of crusaders, but at least he will have some paint:)

    valeros iconic fighter. 89007

painted this mini with the object of really concentrating on the face. normally they get some paint a shade and I am done. went into a little more detail on this one. c and c welcomed. you may have to enlarge the pics to see the teeth and pupils. the last pic in the series came from my phone, I may scrap my camera and just use the phone from now on.

    C-P Models Male Adventurer

Hi all, noob here :) This was my first foray into painting 28mm minis, after many years of building Airfix models and the like. Meet Augustus, my character in our D&D Starter Set campaign, from C-P Models. Paints were a mixture of Humbrol enamels; the base was built up a little with Milliput before paint, flock and static grass were applied. Thanks for looking!
  5. The Gray Maiden from Reaper's Pathfinder line. I've had this semipainted for a couple of years now, and I've finally decided to try and finish it. It was a rather quick job. I wish I had more precision to paint the straps on her arm and leg.

Dagmar of the Shield, Red Box Games

Dagmar of the Shield of Red Box Games. A miniature I painted a few months ago but forgot to post.
  7. Had lots of fun painting this, was supposed to be NMM gold practice for a future project. Any comments and critiques would greatly appreciated.

    Tregar, Hasslefree Miniatures

Another awesome sculpt from Hasslefree Miniatures. I'm quite happy with the skin tone of this one.

    03419: Vaeloth, Hellborn Paladin

Hi guys, first mini after a 6 month lay off. Just saw the X-men and decided to give my take on Nightcrawler. Any comments to help me improve would be much appreciated.

    Jeanne, Hasslefree Miniatures

This is Jeanne from Hasslefree Miniatures. A miniature I bought on a whim and I'm very pleased with how fast she was to finish, and with rather good result as well. I was on the fence which hair color I should try and use and eventually settled for a rather orangey one.
  11. This is Ingrid, the female viking from Reaper Miniatures. I bought one years ago which after sitting unpainted for to long I finally sold last year. But this year I had a change of heart and had to buy a new one. And now she's finished. Rather pleased with the result, especially with her leather "neck guard". I had some ideas for a symbol on her shield but I didn't dare to try any of them out. So I left it plain for now.

    02295: King Jurgen Heyerdal

King Jurgen Heyerdal. I'm a little disappointed in how this came out. It's one of the first Reaper minis that I owned but never got around to painting until now. I'm not sure where it went wrong. Maybe nothing is wrong with it and I just complain to much. What do you think?

    chaos fighter

I bought this mini in the late 80's when I was stationed at fort Bragg. it has been sitting in a box for a long time. I dreaded painting something that I had for so long in it's original condition, afraid I would make a mess of things. now that it is painted it has started to become one of my fav mini's. I think it shows true menace when viewed from the front. please feel free to give ideas on how to make it better. (I know the base is terrible, I will fix it later.)

    Salim Ghadafar, Pathfinder Miniatures

This Salim Ghandafar from Reaper's Pathfinder Miniatures rage. I painted him up to represent my character in an ongoing DnD5 game, Yusuf Al-Amin. He's a cleric of Sûne, hence the reds and yellows. I'm very happy with how he turned out but I did screw up the varnashing process and ended up with some frosting which I had to try and fix. I also noticed in the closeup that he has some white spots that I haven't taken care off.

    Gorak the Ravager, Warlord

I've been hitting a slump in my painting that's been keeping me from these forums for quite a while. I'm trying to regain my rythm and getting some pieces done. This is one of them: Gorak the Ravanger from the Warlords Miniature Lines. He was supposed to be a stand in for my current monk character in a DnD5 game, although I'm having second thoughts. Still love the miniature though. Seems quite angry :)

    60182: Hakon, Iconic Skald

Hakon, Iconic Skald. Not much to say about it really. Comments, questions and critique are more than welcome.
  17. Fun one to paint. His face had a mold line but I just worked with it.

    Ulfred, Hasslefree Miniatures

Trying to get back into the groove after a vacation with a Hasslefree Miniature: Ulfred. I'm quite happy with the result. I think he looks like a badass :)
  19. Classic bucket head warrior. This guy was fun to paint.

    Amiri, Iconic Barbarian (89005) (Bones)

Over the weekend I finished up the Amiri, Iconic Barbarian, figure from the Bones 1 Kickstarter Iconics and Officially Licensed Pathfinder Miniatures Set. I tried making her weapons look like they were made from obsidian; and while I'm generally happy, I was a bit sloppy with the painted highlights on the spearheads. Anyway, she's for tabletop use, so nothing too fancy. As always, C&C welcome.

    Strong Belwas, Darksword Miniatures

Strong Belwas from Darksword Miniatures. I had a better paintjob going in my head but in the end this is what I ended up with. I probably should have made his shirt and pants a different color, but I don't know which.

    06017: Orcs w/Axes (1 of 2)

I picked up a bunch of Sandra Garrity orcs from the factory last ReaperCon, and made a start on them with this fellow to test out my intended colour scheme. Still working on trying to get my shadows and highlights in the right places. Praise and thrown pottery are welcome!
  23. Hey! I painted the models Saramonde, Crusaders Chronicler and Kyla, Bounty Hunter! And HERE you will find a post on my blog!

    Mi-Sher (Bones)(77217)

I painted up Mi-Sher this week. She is supposed to be wielding two swords, but I had borrowed her second sword a while back to use with my Chronomancer Apprentice, Sascha Dubois; and the figure had been sitting around my painting table off-handedly until I realized recently that with just one sword she would make a good Thug for Frostgrave. So, I found a suitable replacement hand from my bits box of hard plastic figure parts, and after prepping the figure, I super-glued the hand in place. I did a standard table-top job on her, and used a 10mm figure, painted up and mounted like a fallen and broken statue, to decorate the base. I'm generally happy with how the figure came out. The pose may be a little awkward without the second sword, but I like to think it looks like she is signaling to a compatriot as she runs along, or perhaps preparing to climb a ruin. As always, C & C welcome.

    Gourls Paints 77302 Female Paladin

I painted this up a few days ago. I really like this sculpt! Very heroic. I wanted to get her tabletop ready, and my bedroom lighting did my cell phone photos no favors. I'm still trying to develop that level before I try anything I'd truly want to display. Or a dragon. I have one, but I'm intimidated by it. Anyway! Enjoy this heroic lady admiring her gigantor-sword.
