  1. Hello All, Here is one of my recent works. 89032 Pathfinder Bones "Anti Paladin" I wanted it to look like the shield was a living thing or a possessed item. Thank you for looking.
  2. A long time ago, I painted up a model of Barros & Tempest (DHL #3096). Unfortunately, this is now one of my missing minis. It is located somewhere in my parent's place, but where exactly, no one knows... All that I have left are these pictures from an old computer. But I really like this model, so I ordered a new one and painted it up with a different rider and a horse of a different colour. Their barding matches, just incase the original is ever found. Here is the missing Barros & Tempest. Please forgive the bad photography skills, I took these photos on a freezer with a piece of paper behind them in place of a real box. I used a pin and green attach Tempest (I'm assuming that is the name of the Pegasus) to the stand. It didn't hold up well, and it looks like they are coming in for a landing or to smite someone. And here is my new version of Barros & Tempest. This model is hard to photograph because there are so many cool sculpted features going all the way around the model. I love the movement of these sculptures. They work really well together.
  3. Another one from August. From the Greek Odyssey expansion in B5. She has just enough detail to be interesting without being overwhelming to paint. Wish the casting had been a little sharper. I had to outline a lot to make things stand out.
  4. One of last year's limited release figures that I painted during the summer. She has the right amount of detail, I spent some time trying to do NMM on her armor and weapon. Felt that the pose was a bit dull and static, and her face is odd. Liked how the green part of her cloak came out, not so happy with the yellow, need to practice more,
  5. Slowly working through the horde of plastic. These guys are about the most boring things ever. I freely admit to crappy basecoat, drybrush, and wash techniques to get these done as quickly as possible. Enjoy: I even got crappy photos.
  6. I just finished painting this figure yesterday. It's from the old Grenadier boxed set 'Fighting Men' #2005. Not really a whole lot to say about him, I spent about 3 hours painting him to a good tabletop level. I got a little burned out on painting for a while, feeling like I had to paint everything to a competition level. Well, sometimes it's just fun to slap some paint on a figure in a few hours just to take your mind off of other things. I had just forgotten that somewhere along the way. Anyhow, here he is, let me know what you think.
  7. This was a fun and easy paint job. He comes with a variety of arms and weapon options so you can customize the figure. (and the extra arms are nice for conversions)
  8. This is Sonya, the Maine Coon fighter from the Cats & Catacombs boxed set. I received and started painting several of the figures almost exactly one year ago, and then got into a severe funk because of COVID shutdowns. Recently I was able to pick this up and get back into it. Hoping to get to a few of the others this spring. And the base lettering was done with a waterslide transfer.
  9. This is a relatively recent paint job and I struggled with colors for a while before taking inspiration from another model and strengthening the contrast in places. I like the model but she feels very stiff and doll-like. Or maybe she doesn't like the light in her eyes: Fiddled around with some freehand on the back:
  10. Artisan Guild 3D Design. Printed on my Elegoo Mars. Part of my Horde of the North Project. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79398-horde-of-the-north-glitterwolf-paints-barbarians-and-mammoths/&tab=comments#comment-1686478 Here she is. For those interested she is a free sample on Thingieverse.
  11. So here is one of two converted Kang, Half-Orcs (02514) I've done. Pretty sure I posted the other one around here somewhere...maybe I'll try to dig it up later for a side-by-side. Anyway, here goes: Kang Half-Orc converted to carry a Reaper Bow in his left hand and a battleaxe in his right (the plastic Bones 3 weapon sprues). Also has a shield (a GW bit from a really old Brettonian knight) and a GW quiver (Mordheim / Empire free company). Shield painted purple and yellow because I like color and I get bored painting "realistic" neutrals & darks & such. As always, my mini photography skills are complete butt thanks in part to using a really cheap light box and a really cheap camera phone. 99% reaper paints: Olive triad mixed with scholar flesh, pure black and white, woodland brown, ashen brown, white metal triad, various washes. This mini actually has kind of a weird story. This mini represents my character Zarkosh Bowyer in a short Wildemount campaign. This campaign is being played 100% online thanks to COVID-19, so he is 100% unnecessary. Same goes for another mini I painted (Duke Gerard in Bones and Metal) which was for a DIFFERENT 100% online campaign. But that's only part of the backstory. I actually BOUGHT this miniature back in like 2004. I bought two of him - my friend & roommate and I decided to play Barbarian brothers from the same tribe. I converted and painted mine to carry a war hammer and a shield. My roommate never got around to doing anything with his, and so it went back in my "Someday" box. For sixteen years. Anyway, I finally got around to doing something with the mini - hopefully, Zarkosh does better in this campaign than the previous character incarnating the mini did in his! May come back and tidy up some edges & half-tones, may not. Don't know how much more time I want to give this one. Probably won't get TONS better than it is now, so here we go.
  12. Been on a painting spree these last few months, in fact Cassie is mini 52 painted so far this year, out of my original goal of painting 50 all year. First up is Elliwyn Heatherlark, Gnome Bard (SKU 77164) which is the bones version. The details were a bit soft, but she is totally serviceable for table-top. Next up, Blink Berenwicket (SKU 3689), the super spunky female gnome warrior in metal. The sword didn't really turn out, and I should have had a side view... Metals are shaded metallics. And last but not least, Cassie, Female Gnome Wizard (SKU 77031) in bones and mini number 52 of the year.
  13. Some guy from the Kickstarter project. Cast in plastic, some of the detail was really sharp, some was not. The face was weird, I could not figure out if he was supposed to have a mustache or not. Good enough for tabletop play.
  14. Hi again, fine folks! So just finished this one last night, last part of course the shield, which took me a while to figure out, but who doesn't need a good squirrel shield? Anyhoos, hope you enjoy!
  15. So, I just had to show off this pic. I'm playing in a 5e Rappan Athuk campaign, and needed to make 3 characters. I chose to model mine after the characters from the old Lost Vikings video game. In order from left to right: Olaf the Stout, Life Domain Cleric. Baelog the Fierce, Totem Warrior Barbarian. Erik the Swift, Battlenaster Fighter (my main). Sorry, I just really loved this picture.
  16. My first attempt for this miniature. Thoughts?
  17. I am churning out the Bones 4 core set PC-types just to get them out of the way before I can get stuck in with the more interesting monsters and creatures. Apologies in advance for my lack of photographic skill. I thought I had found a good setting, but clearly not for all. #9:
  18. Howdy, Pending release to the core... Take that, Kev!
  19. This in The Girl from Bombshell Miniatures and was one of my entries in the Painter's category at ReaperCon. I started painting her a couple of years ago, mainly to test the peachy color of the cloth. I decided to quickly finish her for ReaperCon as I wanted to have a Bombshell entry. She was not the figure chosen for judging in the main contest but she did receive a silver medal (dog tag) in Bombshell's manufacturer awards.
  20. My friend is playing a fighter in a Pathfinder game, so I decided to take a break from my Batman game to paint up a figure for her, though I decided to paint two. I asked her what her favorite color is, and she said "Blue", so I painted up a mini with lots of blue. If I paint her again I think I'd pick out the fleur-de-lis in a different color, to make it stand out some more.
  21. Hello everybody! Hope a lot of you are having a great time at ReaperCon, one of these days hope to go! So here is one of the figures I finished last night, a Ral Partha female fighter, sculpted by Bob Charette. With this figure, it took me forever to figure out what color I wanted her clothing to be, so after a long and painful struggle just gave up and made them white. Don't know if that's ever happened to anybody else? Anyhoos, enjoy!
  22. This one was actually painted by my sister. I wanted to share it with you since this is her second mini ever and I hoped some feedback would be useful to her
  23. This is my version of Grond from Hasslefree Miniatures. I've had the figure for a while but never got around to him. I can't really tell why I picked him up now (might have been that I wanted something to try my Valejo steel color on), but after I started I had trouble putting him down. I'm really happy with how he turned out, and with very little resistance as well. I had trouble with the eyes. I would have preferred a "normal" straight ahead stare, but every time I filled the left eye it had him looking to his right. After three attempts with the same result I figured it was meant to be.
  24. WIP. Two things, first I couldn’t resist. Second I can’t believe I am the only one to do this.
  25. So I painted this one for a friend to use as his goliath fighter in our dnd campaign. It was a quick and easy paint, since he asked me to keep it simple. I like how it turned out considering the printing quallity Also, the blade of his original sword broke of, so I replaced it with a warhammer empire greatsword blade
