His arm must be hiding some really strong muscles to be able to swing that GIANT flail. So do Gnoll Clerics cast spells? If so they should be Gnoll appropriate. Like making someone drool uncontrollably. Or giving someone fleas or the Mange.

Hi guys, back again after a long absence... again. I took a very long time to paint something that was supposed to be a speed paint. I was painting a Bones Finari and wasn't happy with the cast so I was just trying to get her done quick to get her off the shelf but then everything went wrong with the paint job and I stalled out for a long time. I'm not posting her because I wasn't happy but I've finally moved on. This is my Gnoll Warrior. I kind of like him. He is part of my new strategy to just paint and get used to the motions and not try to be perfect all the time. Trying to be perfect puts more minis on shelves of shame instead of in display cabinets. I thought his mane looked a lot like a mohawk so I decided that maybe he would dye it in the colours of his tribe or clan or war party or whatever. I thought it was neat. If I did it again I would maybe use more muted colours but this first time I was afraid maybe muted colours would fade out and go unnoticed. I was happy with the eye and jaws on his right side but not his left (which is why there are no good pictures of his left side ). But here he is, he's imperfect and I'm happy with him! Comments are welcome as always!

This one is the last of my black pants series, even though this one doesn't have black pants, but rather a black jacket. For this one, I used black for his jacket, and used the same skin tones with him as my other monk, the Hackmaster one sculpted by Jim Johnson. So here we go, a seemingly friendly cleric, perhaps turning undead, version from 2018 But if you look at him from behind, you'll see he's ready, just in case he gets a low roll of the dice: This is another I did what seems to be centuries ago, even though it was really probably only 35 years or so: And here they are together: I'm glad my parents kept my old figures and gave them back to me years ago. Always nice to go back down memory lane and looking at the art you did and how you've developed and changed over the years.

I finished this guy last night. I gave him some tattoos; on one hand, I'm (relatively) happy with my attempt at freehand, on the other, I'm really not that great at 2-d art. I'm pretty happy about getting his eyes to look ok, though. Please let me know what you think.

As part of an MLK Weekend paint binge I painted several enemy NPCs for my upcoming Eberron campaign. One thing I never have enough of is Emerald Claw, especially since flail-wielders are fairly far between. I'm sad this guy isn't available with the flail in bones, but I hope to snag a bunch of the flail-hand from this model and then modify the different bones poses when they're available. Not that flails are necessary for the EC, but I like the flavor, and flails are the favored weapon for Blood of Vol, which the EC are associated with...so...anyway, rambleramblepedantramble. This guy I used the bare headed option, and gave him fancy gold-tone armor, so he can be a lieutenant of some kind. Tabletop quality, but I'm pretty happy with him. He looks ready to beat up some PCs if need be. C&C always welcome.

Another MLK weekend binge result. This figure was cast by Reaper for a Canadian (I think) company called Guardians of Order for their supers game, Silver Age Sentinels. The whole SAS line was sculpted by Sandra Garrity, and there were some pretty neat figures in it. The figs were meant to represent archetypal supers, so there's a "strong dude in a cape," a "fast lady running," a "power armor guy," a "dude on fire," etc. This mini, called "Green Ronin," is meant to represent "intergalactic energy construct cop," i.e., Green Lantern. At least, that's what the name and the studio paint job imply. Why an intergalactic energy construct cop, or someone calling themselves "Ronin" for that matter, has conjured up a three-headed flail and a shield is beyond me, but it's a pretty sweet sculpt nonetheless. I love the form-fitting scale mail, and that mask is classic. Anyway, I painted her up for use as a unique Emerald Claw NPC for my Eberron campaign. Hopefully I can engineer her escape from at least one encounter so the PCs can fight her more than once. C&C always welcome.

Another demon lord for the index: I'd like to give special thanks to @Gadgetman! for his advice on my Gnoll Warrior post. I used a lot of his suggestions to improve this mini, especially highlighting the jaws and matted fur. Uploaded via mobile phone, so hopefully the pictures aren't too big. Enjoy! -E.E.

Here are some gnasty gnolls for your enjoyment! Tried to do some work on groups with an army/matching uniform look... ... And some highlighting on raised areas (the gnoll's left knee). The lighting isn't super great in these pictures (sorry!) but I promise you all they DO have spooky red eyes, as per the usual evil hunters. Next post will likely be a return some bigger minis (I just can't quit my demon lords!). Until then, take care of yourselves! -E.E.

Well I am leaving for the rest of the month tomorrow, but started on making a custom mini for my daughter who has a flail wielding paladin and a warhorse. I had a lot of trouble finding good female paladins so I figured I could use Bones to make one. This is about how much progress I can make since I am leaving, I will continue work in July. Also I gave the gnoll the flaming sword for giggles! Dismounted female paladin with flail: Body 77058: Almaran the Gold, Paladin ($2.79) Head 77077: Finari, Female Paladin ($2.29) Flail 77012: Gnoll Warrior ($2.49) Mounted female paladin with flail: Flail P14580C: Flail ($0.25) Mounted female paladin 14224: Lady Jehanne, Crusaders Warlord ($19.99) Caitlin drew me a cute baby dragon eating a cheeseburger! I would have posted it in the "fun with order requests posts" but Im not terribly smart.

This was a fun one where I combined Airbrush with hand painting. Roughly 6 hours of work. The look of the fur is inspired by the striped hyena.

Here is my Festering Spirit 02943 by Jason Wiebe with is custom made Flail of Pestilence. His weapon was build using; the chains P14472D from Razig Weapons Pack, the handle is the wooden post included in the Dark Maiden sprue P14106C, the cranium is from the skulls pack P02611A and the poisoned blades are daggers from the 02871 Wererats. For the base, I crafted mushrooms and worms using green stuff and added some synthetic grass, lichen and painted birch tree seed shells. The gravestone comes from the Grave Wraith tombstones sprue 03274b. Here's a picture from the Festering Spirit and the Ghouls attacking Eusebe the Sturdy by the birch trees.
