  1. Three bearded devils from when Paul Muller sculpted for the Fractured Dimensions line/KS. I hope I got that right, if not, feel free to correct me. These are metal, and were placed onto based by the Archon Studios folks (Dungeons & Lasers). I’m a huge fan of both the figures and the bases. Each color of bearded devil coincides with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th edition monster manuals. I couldn’t decide.
  2. On my quest to be able to paint "anything" I opted to work on and finish one of the new Fractured Dimensions demons sculpted by Paul Muller. As many of you know, this Kickstarter has faced some challenges with respect to fulfillment. That said, I'd like to say that Paul Muller has sculpted some beautiful pieces and while he's not responsible for fulfillment of said project, I sure hope that he continues his quest to sculpt more. This sculpt had an astonishing number of surprises when I was preparing the figure and includes a lot of detail and different options for heads/arms/equipment that made customization a lot of fun. A tidbit of green stuff to fill the minute gaps and I was off and running. While having nothing to do with Paul's sculpting, I will say that the Fractured Dimensions figures I have, have the smallest/faintest mould lines I've ever encountered.
  3. Sorry, I don't have a item number for this because I don't think they are available for purchase anymore. At least not for the moment. It was hard to capture this guys highlights on camera, but I tried.
  4. For me, March is going to be Demons and Devils month.... Here are the 3 primed Barbed Devils from Mortal Arrow / Fractured Dimensions... Nice crisp castings, no flash, very little mold lines. Assembly was a little finicky, and putting pins into them was a chore.... George (Been sick for the past 3 days, prep work is all I could do.... )
  5. So these guys are finally done! They got attached to their Secret Weapon Bases, I tried to make them look like some sort of blasted ash waste. So here they are! As I was painting, I saw the opportunity to have a little fun. It is something that only the older players are likely to get... (And of course, if my painting skill translates the image in my head to other people!) here is a hint: If you get the joke, please put your answer in a spoiler! Let's see how many people find it, and understand! Thanks for looking, and to all those that followed along and commented in the WiP thread! George ps, there is a little bit of flock dust on the black edges of some of the bases, that is because I was in a hurry to get these posted as I need to get to bed!
  6. The Bearded Devils are complete. Lots of Reaper Cinnamon Red on these guys. Actually, a lot of red, period. WIP thread HERE More pictures on my blog.
  7. So everything is packed for tomorrow... and I had nothing better to do.... So I started a new project for when I get home.... he is 14 parts of bad, and I am cleaning mold lines, and pinning stuff together... His torso is resin, everything else is metal... (so it aint crap...) mold lines are small, but pinning is being interesting..... Going to use, I think, a Secret Weapon 'Skull Field' style base.... He's about 5" tall to the top of his head...... Maybe semi assembled pics later.... G
  8. My take on an iconic DND demon prince as sculpted by Paul Muller for the Fractured Dimensions line. Paul resurfaced here recently to show off some of his new sculpting, and I pulled this fella off my shelf of shame to paint him up.
  9. I thought it might be best to consolidate my ongoing Red Ghoul efforts under one roof. The previously completed miniatures are pictured above (from Reaper, Otherworld, and Fractured Dimensions). The latest additions from Reaper, Otherworld, and Wyrd (AKA Dennis, Margret, and Ruff). More pictures and details of these three at Minis by Finch.
  10. Fractured Dimensions' Bearded Devils are currently on the paint-table. Great looking Paul Muller sculpts. One tricky bit is the deeply recessed (as in virtually inaccessible) areas under the kilts (a situation admittedly worsened by basing prior to painting). A heavy initial slathering of black paint (1st picture) has hopefully prevented headaches down the road. (I'll keep my fingers crossed. Murphy's Law suggests a different outcome.) The second picture shows the base colors blocked in. As per recent efforts in the devil department, it's Reaper Cinnamon Red skin and Vallejo Vermillion kilts. The fluorescent orange beards are a new wrinkle.
  11. Paul Muller strikes again. Fractured Dimensions' Bael.
  12. Swear I've seen this guy in a monster manual but I can't remember where. Anyone?
  13. So finished these guys up, a touch of Snakebite Leather on all the claws, followed by Bleached Bone. Their teeth goth Bleached Bone, followed by VMC Ivory. All those got a light touch of GW Devlin Mud. Bases are Secret Weapon, with different types of flocks, and some Silflor short weed tufts. My thanks to everyone that chimed in during my WiP! They would not look as good as they do without all your comments and help! Further comments welcome! George
  14. So here are the 3 Mortal Arrow / Fractured Dimensions Bar-Igura, (NO they are NOT regimental....) Again, nice crisp casts, no mold lines, a few small vents / feeders to remove.... Assembly a much easier on the one piece here vs the Barbed Devils. George
  15. So, those of you who have paid any attention to Kickstarter in the past three years know that Brett Zeleznik and his Fractured Dimensions line of true-to-old-school-D&D demons and devils went pretty pear-shaped, but they did eventually deliver and most of the line is now available through Mortal Arrow. I backed the KS for one reason: the Vrock. I saw the sculpt for this sucker and fell in love. As long as I was picking that up, I got a few other things, including the Nalfeshnee. Sorry...these are Old Skool. These are the Type I and Type IV demons. Vrock/Type I: Nalfeshnee/Type IV: Relatively quick paint jobs, getting back into the swing. I'm pretty happy with the Vrock's wings...both minis could do with some more blending. C&C always welcome.
  16. The bodak from FD's Kickstarter. Paul Muller at the top of his game.
  17. I realized I never posted a finished thread for my Great Beast model from Fractured Dimensions. Front view. He's got monkey heads! He also has squiddly bits. Uh-oh. I think he's mad I got his bad side. One lizard tail was not enough. He must have two. He lives in a swamp! Like an ogre! Don't worry. Those aren't dead people. They're just sleeping. Half-buried or face-down in the water. Not breathing. Honest.
  18. Some more Muller goodness from FD's Infernal Minions KS. Tried to keep the colors muted in line with a Hades = The Gray Wastes theme. Used mica flake gel for the bases. A very useful product IMO. More pics over on my blog.
  19. Dispater from Fractured Dimensions: More pictures on my blog.
  20. Hello friends! This is my version of the Cambion Lord from Fractured Dimensions. The figure comes with a couple shields and weapon options, and (I think) three different head options. Faintest mould lines I've ever come across means the figure was a very quick clean up. Hope you like as I practice everything I can think of and try to get to the next level. -Aaron
  21. Two of my favorites from FD's Infernal Minions Kickstarter. Mr Muller really outdid himself with these two. A blast to paint. WIPs and whatnot up on my blog.
  22. The dretches from FD's IMotOP Kickstarter. More pics and WIPs on my blog.
  23. Painted this guy earlier this year. As he is currently part of the Fractured Dimensions Kickstarter, this seemed like a good time to post some pics. Sculpted by Pedro Navarro. Slightly modified as detailed here.
