2. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/smiteworks/fantasy-grounds-unity/description Fantasy Grounds Unity is the name of the upcoming version of our virtual tabletop software, Fantasy Grounds. It's been completely rebuilt from the ground up in Unity. Read on to find out what this all means and why we are excited for this project. Fantasy Grounds is a popular system for playing a host of different roleplaying games online. It is used by more than 130,000 gamers worldwide to connect and play popular games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, Call of Cthulhu, and more. This type of program is commonly referred to as a virtual tabletop, or VTT, due to their ability to emulate various part of an RPG session in a digital form. What makes Fantasy Grounds different than competitors is how we expose character sheets and automate large portions of gameplay specifically for each system we support. This is done through rulesets. Your experience playing Deadlands Reloaded will differ from D&D and will be unique to that environment, contain custom graphics, character sheets, and automation specific to that game system. One feature shared across most game systems is maps. Some may use hexes while others use square grids and some may not use grids at all. Facing is important in some and less so in others. While FG has featured maps for many years, they have been primarily focused as reproductions of maps in existing adventure modules from our many licensed publishers. We believe that we can enhance these to provide dynamic line of sight, fog of war, and even map building support with painting and tiles. What you get for backing this project will be a license for Fantasy Grounds Unity (or FGU). This new game engine has all the great features of current version of Fantasy Grounds (soon to be called Fantasy Grounds Classic) along with new enhanced features. Original Features Supported: Multiplayer support for playing tabletop games of Dungeons & Dragons (2E, 3.5E, 4E and 5E), Pathfinder RPG 1, Pathfinder RPG 2, Starfinder. Built-in content for D&D 3.5E, 5E and Pathfinder 1 Officially licensed add-on content available for D&D, D&D Classics (2E), Pathfinder, Starfinder, Savage Worlds, Call of Cthulhu, Basic Roleplaying, Castles & Crusades, Mutants & Masterminds, 13th Age, W.O.I.N., Traveller, and Rolemaster Classic Generic system support through our CoreRPG ruleset Brilliant Campaign Management Integrated character sheets with lots of automation built in for playing and leveling (depending on ruleset and content owned) Combat Tracking 3D dice Fantasy Grounds Unity Enhanced Features Include: 64-bit support to allow for more content (quality and quantity) Native support for Mac, Linux and Windows PC Network lobby for easy hosting and joining of games (no port forwarding required) Tile based map building Enhanced Drawing Tools Additional Dice Macros support A new FGU only skin Dynamic Line of Sight with enhanced toggle blockers Paint with images, such as walls Animated image effects Backward compatibility with all existing campaigns and DLC from FGC In addition to these features, we are now poised to add even greater functionality going forward. We have lots of ideas for new features and this rebuilt engine will make it easier for us reach those goals and deliver consistent updates for free. Tile based Map Building Dynamic Line of Sight (LOS) and Fog of War (FOW) Map Fx Layers We have already devoted over 4 years and 10,000 developer hours to this project. Any funds raised will help us push it over the edge and begin work on new features and functionality. If the project does exceptionally well, this may even allow us to add even more resources to the team. We have over 1200 existing DLC and add-ons. Our goal is to prioritize these by popularity and work on enhancing as many of these as we can. Without enhancements, they will continue to function as they always have in Fantasy Grounds Classic. You will be able to add dynamic line of sight to maps and begin using the new features straight away. As we work through this large back catalog of DLC, we will do all the enhancement and upgrade work for you so you can just load it up and begin using the advanced features without having to define any Line of Sight blockers yourself. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/smiteworks/fantasy-grounds-unity/description

7. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/heresylab2/heresylab-scifi-heresy-girls-miniature-set-12?ref=category_newest&ref=discovery About Over the past decade I have directly assisted multiple miniature companies achieve success with their projects. I have both broad and lengthy experience in the miniature industry. My previous work has covered all aspects of miniature production from design to manufacturing, and ranges from working with metal to resin and also plastic materials. Now I am creating my own line of high quality figures and am asking for your help to meet my goals. This project is an extension of the Heresy Girl Kickstarter and will expand to add more figures, add-ons, and freebies. After the first KS my warehouse was left only with a few figures and need to make a new order. As prices go by quantity this KS hopefuly will allow me to get a betetr price make backer happy and get new stock. If a picture is worth a thousand words than these images should speak for themselves. The Heresy Girls Kickstarter feedback will confirm what said above, just look at all the positive comments I got about the look and quality of the figures.

10. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/23535743/killer-rabbits-medieval-manuscript-art-made-into-m?ref=discovery About The most unexpected enemy! The cruelest, most vindictive, and most surprising foes to challenge your players on the tabletop. No collection is complete without the novelty of a band of Killer Rabbits! The Origin Story: I went to visit my sculptor Drew Day Williams at his Satyr Art Studio, to deliver some sketches and talk idea for my upcoming Triumph of Death II Kickstarter. On Drew's work bench I noticed print-outs of medieval drawings beside a small batch of tiny little rabbit soldier sculptures. By noticed, I mean I am a super curious sort that is always digging around the cool stuff in Drew's studio. I had to ask- What's up with the rabbits, doc? Drew Shrugged, "I just like medieval marginalia so much, and I always wanted to make a set of Killer Rabbits." Nobody else was doing them. And they needed to be done." At that point I became super enthusiastic, "Dude! You have GOT to get these into peoples hands- You should make a Kickstarter for them." "Oh, I suppose." Drew groaned**, "But I've never made a Kickstarter before. I've only sold my work for others' Kickstarters (like yours) up 'till now. Got any advice?" Now, I couldn't let that line go unchallenged, so I literally clasped my hand on Drew's shoulder, "Don't you worry, Buddy. You finish sculpting these figures, and I'll help you make a Kickstarter for them! The world (read myself as well I am sure others) need these!" ** Groaned may be a bit dramatic, but that's what happens in a retelling. The Campaign: This modest Kickstarter is for a limited range of small, 25mm-ish scale Killer Rabbits, cast in pewter, in a variety of poses, wielding a variety of weapons all based upon 11-14th century art found in the margins of medieval manuscripts, based on... wait for it... rabbits! Like these images which were used as the concept art for the miniatures. Concept art from unknown awesome monks! Rabbit "noble" mounted on a hound with his hunting snail- how cool is that?! Drew has already sculpted the base 10 figures thus far, and is poised to sculpt additional miniatures and even vignettes should you the backer build up to those stretch goals! In the awesome event that all of the planned stretch goals for this Kickstarter campaign be met, Drew will vow** to continue on developing other ranges of designs drawn from the same sources, expanding a line of unique and lively models based on the figures found in medieval manuscripts; the beginnings of Marginalia Miniatures. ** Again, my dramatic embellishment here, but vow sounded so... monk like. 11. https://www.facebook.com/GamestartEdizioni/ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2031918013/810800705?ref=493163&token=c06e631e On July 5, the new project by Gamestart Editions "Fantasy World Creator" will be launched on the Kickstarter platform, designed by role players for role players. FWC arises from the need to unify in a single product different tools useful for roleplayer and those who create adventures. On the market, there are anonymous rewritable sheets for maps, a few miniatures from high cost and different rigid supports of the most varied materials: many things but unstructured and that would require high costs to have in hand something sufficient to a game setting, all that it is impractical especially for those who approach roleplaying but want to immediately enjoy the immersive. "Fantasy World Creator" overcomes all these gaps by bringing together in a single box multi-settings modular planks with standard movement grid (2.5 cm), vertical tokens that reproduce dozens of different monsters and all the available classes of the major GDRs combined with horizontal tokens for quick settings of the environments; all accompanied by a "state" token to indicate effects of spells and abilities and from character planks to keep track of momentary increases during combat. A fundamental feature of FWC is that all the parts of the support are totally rewritable with dry ink markers, so as to ensure infinite reuse and versatility and to maximize this point have been inserted "blank" vertical tokens, totally customizable, to add anyone in adventures. Particular mention should also be made of the materials chosen for high strength and laminated with specific plastics on both sides for additional strength and reliability during game sessions. Versatility and completeness are the cornerstones of this add-on, combined with a "hand-drawn" graphic that will leave intact the philosophy of "paper, pen and imagination" that has made the role-playing game famous all over the world. Analyzing in more detail FWC from the Kickstarter page we find 3 different proposals The "Base Beginner Hero" package: with contents closer to those who start playing from lower level characters and containing specific planks for "Dungeon", "Wildlands" and "Castle" settings, combined with more common and recurrent environmental tokens (both for exteriors and interiors, such as trees, tables, stairs, etc.). The character compartment has the 6 most used classes and middle-class monsters; the extra features include the "state" tokens and quick flicks. Despite being an "Entry level" product, it is still complete and will be offered at a price comparable to that of a basic D&D manual. The "Advanced Master Hero" package contains the most interesting components: in addition to the "Base" package, there are planks in the additional "Subterran" and "Urban interiors" settings, combined with larger environmental tokens (up to 20 cm) including roofs; this last implementation, although it may seem trivial at first sight, is instead very useful not to reveal the interiors of buildings (read planks "urban interior") without the players decide to enter and allowing, thanks to the grid here, to fight and move as if you were on a higher level, which is very useful in stealth missions. In this package will be present the monsters of greater size and the characters of other 6 more specific classes; central is also the presence of a Dragon, with a token of size "Gargantuan". As a third package there will be a very limited "Artist" version consisting of 3 highly discounted "Advance" boxes, plus the possibility of inserting a character (or a monster) with your face and an official t-shirt with original logos and illustrations. The original illustrations are in fact what, thanks to FWC, will make you seem to live your adventure in an illustrated book. All the characters and the monsters are the work of two Italian artists, Elisa Serio and Manuele Brandani. Their technique is a direct pen on paper, all freehand; a unique style for a unique definition. The environmental tokens are instead illustrated, always by hand, by Andrea Alemanno, another emerging artist in Italy. "Fantasy World Creator" has already been called "The Dungeon Master's Egg of Columbus" according to its supporters. Crowdfunding will be essential for the production of this project and will allow all those who want to immediately experience the role-playing experience at 360 °, to pre-purchase the first print run at a definitely lower price and to take advantage of some promotions limited to the launch of the Kickstarter. Appointment then to July 5 for the launch! Stay tuned!

15. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/splinteredlightminis/28mm-lesser-goblin-horde?ref=discovery_category_newest Splintered Light Miniatures is pleased to announce our 28mm Lesser Goblin Horde Kickstarter will begin Monday, February 18 at 6:00 PM and will run 14 days. These were sculpted by Bob Olley and stand 15-16mm tall. We will be offering an Early Bird gift for anyone who signs up in the first 24 hours at various pledge levels. These Lesser Goblins will likely be recognizable to many as having been available on the Splintered Light Miniatures website before. Originally, they were intended for 15mm but due to their bulk, I think they really work best with 28mm figures. The money from the Kickstarter is intended to retool some of the molds to better fit 28mm packs and perhaps some new Hedgerows and Heroes armies. We will also have a variety of Add-ons, including cavalry packs, a were-creature pack, and some Hill Trolls. Finally, we will be offering some sculpts as stretch goals that have never been officially released to the public. You can see more pictures at << commerce link removed>>

17. Aether Captains returns on Kickstarter in April 18th by MAGE Company & Ninja Division! An asymmetric steampunk board game of villainous sky pirates and heroic naval zeppelins in epic conflict above the skies of Arkady! We currently develop the Kickstarter page by adding videos, images etc. Check out the page and subscribe here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/magecompany/56249778?token=e237ce24 What is Aether Captains? A steampunk board game for 1-5 players here one player commands the mighty naval zeppelins of the Grand Compact: Dauntless and Dominion. As Commander, you have been tasked by the Emperor to defend the Grand Compact and Arkady from the merciless sky pirates. With your staunch crew of steam welders, engineers, navigators and gunners, you fly with honor to confront the pirates threatening Arkady. The remaining players command waves of attacking sky pirates, each with their own unique objectives which may pit them against any player when it results in the greatest profit for themselves. Infamous and feared, you have risen through the cutthroat cadres to become a War Captain. You swear to never rest until you control the skies and the Grand Compact falls! Aether Captains offers a unique gaming experience and playstyle which begins with the different roles players assume. The Navy Commander protects Arkady from the raiding War Captains, using a “points selection†system. The War Captains who are attacking Arkady play using an “action choice†system. Although War Captains have the same goal of raiding Arkady, they do not play cooperatively except when it will result in the greatest benefit for them based upon each player’s unique objectives. Aether Captains use 6-sided dice to form the different ships which compose the fleet of the Navy Commander and the War Captains. These “dice-ships†play a strategic role in the game, but players do not roll them. The dice-ships represent the power and life of each player’s fleet. All ships begin the game with their starting face up. As the ships take damage, players turn the die face to the next side. Each side of the ship’s dice represent several numbers: attack, strength, and value. Each War Captain recruits a fleet of up to three dice-ships with a value equal to or lower than five points. Each War Captain plays the game with their own unique objectives. Each objective card creates different elements and conditions in the game, increasing the replayability. Each objective has an Entry Point, which specifies a city or an area on the game tiles where the War Captain’s fleet begins the game. Aether Captains uses twelve-sided dice (d12) as a randomizer for attacking, damage, value of resources, and other elements of the game which require a randomizer. Aether Captains attributes are mechanically built upon a small set of cardinal numbers: 2, 3, 4, 6. A D12 nicely combines with these cardinal numbers for multiplying and dividing, and provides the game with a smooth and natural feeling. The ship miniatures are used to mark your fleet’s location and movement on the game board as they make their way over the skies of Arkady. Movement can be affected by not only other players’ ships, but by the wind and weather. Choose the path you take carefully. The enemy is waiting, hidden in the clouds—ready to attack! The dice used in the game act as miniature ships for the players. As a ship takes on damage, the dice are rotated to show different faces and the players can see the damage to their ships mounting. So you get a nice realtime visual effect of the ship in trouble. Cannons on sections of the ship also lose range as damage is taken so it is important for the player to spend time repairing the ship which takes away from attack and defense so there is a strategic balance to contend with. Here you see all the 6 dice of a zeppelin ship from the top to the bottom. From the left to the right you see the different faces of each die while it gets damaged more and more.
18. I did not see this posted anywhere so I thought I'd share. KAMB is an easy to learn, fast paced RPG where you play a Kobold. You die, a lot. They're celebrating their 20th anniversary and are running a kickstarter to re-release the original zine that started it all, but with better rules. I play this every year at Origins in a 100 player game called the Kobold Midnight Massacre and can confirm that it's a great time of silly hijinks and horrible death checks https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/9thlevel/kobolds-ate-my-baby-20th-anniversary-zine-quest

21. This goes live today (i'll add a link when it does) (almost complete pre-production image, minor changes possible) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkFwekye_zQ unboxing of the game (now if you want tiles for a dungeon crawl this looks a good deal) this is a reprint of the well regarded boardgame Caustrophobia (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/36932/claustrophobia) and it's first expansion with all new art assets and minis (unpainted) Monolith has already manufactured the game so it will be limited to 10,000 copies *I;ve asked and there are spares to cope with loss/damage during delivery)and deliveries are scheduled for January so minimal risk so ideal is you want to KS but worry about getting stung (but on the other hand if you don't like KS as a shop probably not for you)

25. Pendraken is a company that does a wide range of 10mm historical and fantasy minis. Occasionally under other trade names they branch out into some other stuff like terrain or larger figs. In this case they are doing 28mm moderns under the trade name Militia Miniatures. Since their very friendly forum is my second home as far as posting about the hobby, I figured I would share this here even though I don't really do modern conflicts. What is Militia Miniatures? Militia Miniatures was first launched through Kickstarter in 2014, with an initial set of 10 modern mercenary personalities. 139 backers helped us reach our goal and all of the pledges were delivered within 2 months! It's taken a bit longer than we'd hoped but we're now back with a fantastic new sculptor and another 50 sculpts, all suitable for wargaming, roleplaying, or simply collecting and painting! For this project, we've had 50 new 28mm sculpts produced by the extremely talented Paolo Fabiani, which are all waiting to go into moulds. If we can hit and exceed our target then we've got some nice extra goals planned... Here is the link to the KS.
