  1. Right on the heels of their last shipped campaign, Midlam Miniatures is back. After several years of halflings, the gnomes are back! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/gnomes-a-class-of-their-own Also available in different pledge combos, two of the older campaigns: I already own this one from 2018 (Common - Garden Gnomes): Royal Court of the Common (Garden) Gnomes (2019):
  2. Here's another set intended for Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago. I tried to do up the Bloodstone Gnomes as Tribals, as one of the Tribal traits is Pygmy and their armor seemed that fantasy MesoAmericana
  3. Have you ever thought to yourself, "If only I could make this mini temporarily huge, I could really go to town on the details, blending, etc..." Because this line of thought is about to get me into trouble. I've seen quite a few examples of kickelf busts done here, and seeing the sunbleached and sorry state of some Garden Gnomes I found last year in a forgotten tote bin, ideas began to ferment. Also I've been playing more Mordheim than is probably healthy on the PS4 which led to dreams of Gnome Witch Hunters purging the lawn of weeds and heresy. Which then led to various other forms
  4. Presenting a pair of Deep Gnome heroes (I'm calling them Harold and Alice) from Reaper. I got these to see what the Bones Black material was like on smaller minis (I was quite impressed), and while some parts could've gone better (One day I'll learn how to highlight dark blue) they were a lot of fun to paint up. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  5. Hello everybody, so once these came out in retail I was really pretty thrilled and bought some as soon as possible. Now that I've taken photos I see tons of errors, but oh well, I'm probably not going to fix anything any more with these two. I'd like to just mention that these two little gnomes were great fun to paint and as my second and third Bones Black figures that I've painted, I do enjoy working with the material. I did prime them, and the only real issue I had was those first coats of primer, and also a first coat of paint sticking on the figure properly (yes I wash
  6. Loved painting this little crew. They are the size of the new Kobolds, (those are 20mm bases) with lots of nice details and character to pick out. I tried to use lots of pastels and light greys (and odd hair colours) to make them look distinct from dwarves.
  7. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/882426675/osm-presents-the-dead-gnomes-rising?ref=discovery About Halloween is just around the corner, and what better way to be ready for spooky antics than with your own mob of sinister skeleton gnomes? These undead gnomes are ready for medieval combat , accompanied by a full set of command miniatures , as well as an eerie necromancer The Necromancer with his warped dagger We are starting this project early so as to guarantee that we can get these shambling gnomes into your hands well befor
  8. A set of 13 detailed male & female 28mm scale gnome miniatures, suitable for all your Fantasy miniature games, from Midlam Miniatures. About this project The Baron of Midlam, on dealing with the matter of the 'Winter Adventurers' returned home to Midlam Manor, to a most alarming sight. For there, at the end of his estate, at the bottom of the garden, was a hill, where previously, there had been no hill. Fortunately the Wizard Gudgrief had accompanied him, and was quick with sage advice. "I fear my Lord, that you have a mild infestation of gnomes, the commo
  9. Curious if there are any ghouls out there in mini-verse to represent the shorter races like gnomes & halflings. thanks! EDIT: Never fails.... I found one on Heresy's site. It's not a demi-human but it would probably work + they have some other minis that might fill some other rolls as well.
  10. Another recently finished project, some Halfling Wizards from Midlam Miniature's Kickstarter. The full school: The Headmistress: The Archmage (with an attempted theme at a mushroom themed outfit) The Scrollbearer: The Junior Alchemist: The Junior Druid:
  11. Hi all, I am new to this forum and I recently started sculpting 15mm gnomes. Let me know what you think.
  12. Reaper Bones Beauty Pageant Jan-Feb 2015 The challenge: 1. paint one of the following Bones figures. They were included in the Bones Kickstarter Vampire Box and should also be available wherever Reaper products are sold. Remember that the base is part of the figure and should be painted as well. Modifications are allowed. 77073 Freja Fangbreaker, Dwarf Sergeant 77072 Bailey Silverbell, Dwarf 77074 Dain Deepaxe, Dwarf 77075 Khael Stonekindle, Dwarf Wizard 89012 Lem, Iconic Halfling Bard 77164 Elliwyn Heatherlark, Gnome Bard 77167 Ingrid, Female Gnome 77165 Hellakin Goregutter, Halfl
  13. The Breach The last year has had its ups and down for the Gnomes of the Stonehavens. The Wyrmgear Initiative (as it has become know) has been very successful, and Wyrmgear and his later created brethren rule the skies. This has kept the Goblinoid hordes in check. On the down side, repeated attempts at formal alliances with the Dwarves (be they the nearby Dwarves of Stonehaven, the distant Scrunts of the territory of Olley, or the mighty clans of the Oathsworn Dwarves) have thus far lead to little more than non-aggression pacts. But unknown to the Gnomes, the Goblins have been much more
  14. So out of the six gnomes that I've been working on recently, I've got four of them finished. These are old Ral Partha Julie Guthrie gnomes and they are pretty small. I put in a penny in a photo so you could see a size comparison. I've still got two TSR gnomes I'm working on for the near future. I've got the skin and hair figured out, but I'm a bit stymied on the color for their clothing. These I think are from 1984 as per the bottoms of their bases. Anyway, enjoy!
  15. I'd posted a few pics in my combined WIP as I was figuring things out, but now that I'm (finally) gearing up to really start working on my diorama for the 2014 Year of the Giants contest, I guess it's time to start a new WIP. The idea I'm working with for this diorama is set in the same (loosely defined) world as my Wyrmgear diorama from last year. A slightly steampunky fantasy world. So far we have seen the Gnomes (specifically the Stonehaven ones) as a faction, obviously technologically advanced enough to create automatons and even Wyrmgear. Now we get to see one of the forces they must
  16. Back when Stonehaven was having their Gnomes Kickstarter, I saw the first of their mounted figs and had the revelation that they would probably fit on Wyrmgear; that I could actually have a crew of Gnomes on a clockwork dragon in a similar fashion to the dragon crews in the Temeraire series (by Naomi Novik, think the Napoleonic War only with Dragons if you haven't read it). This idea wouldn't go away so I ordered extra of the Gnomes I thought I might use (and because they're Gnomes!) and waited. My Gnomes arrived on Monday, game night. I did manage a quick test fitting to make sure the
