Hello my Reaperleapers! So I wanted to repaint this figure, that I had probably already painted ten years ago, because I never liked her left eye, thinking it was too big and bulbous, and I thought it was due to my actual paint job. So I painted the eye, as it's small and hard to get gauge with a line instead of a dot, so maybe it looked to me for that reason a little bit odd as well. So fast forward a decade and I decided to repaint her with a different color scheme with the hopes of repairing her eye, but with the second time around, I realized that the sculpt of the eye was just big and round. So here's my new version, different color scheme and with the thought of eye reparations that didn't apparently seem to work out or matter: and here's the original one from who knows how far back: and here they are together: I think I actually like the coloring on the first one better, with the white and red. I think maybe the metal turned out better on the newer one (even though I still think the axe head is too blue) and I tried to do some bronze/brass/who knows what color on her grieves and the thingy that goes around her throat, but who knows. I'm still not that satisfied. Are we just doomed to never be satisfied with some of our little projects?

Hello everyone, here are pictures of the forth and last mini I entered in the Pathfinder painting contest. 60118, Order of the Pyre's Hellknight sculpted by Bobby Jackson. This time, the colors I selected are completely different from the display model of the Online store. I hope you will enjoy it.

So, signed up for the CAV Secret Santa exchange over in the CAV subforums, and needed to put up WIP pictures etc. But why do pictures when you can do video, eh?! If you're in on the CAV Secret Santa, you can click the spoilers below to see the pictures and video as well, but you'll, uh, be spoiling it for you if you're the one on my list. And you could be. But maybe you aren't.

Greetings everyone! First of all I am so sorry If I create this topic in wrong place. So I'm kindly asking your forgiveness. Other than that, as the title says, I need suggestion help ladies and gentlemen. I am looking for a miniature figure, and this will be my very first tabletop FRP miniature which I'm going to buy for a current game, (Curse of Strahd, 5 edition D&D) But I couldn't find what I'm exactly looking for. My character is going to be a noble knight, an Oath of Vengeance Paladin in his prime. So I found some miniatures but it's not what I'm looking for. (14508) Vernone, Ivy Crown Captain (03324) Stern Kestrelmann, Paladin Hero (03348) Quinn Nolan, Heroic Warrior (03715) Erick, Paladin Initiate So I found them, but only one of them doesn't have a shield in his hands. I'm looking for to use some polearm mainly, and a greatsword alternatively. <TS: Edited for Commerce link> So as you can see up there, I'm looking for a medieval, heroic, plate wearer knight with a halberd, polearm or a sword without shield (or shield can be worn on side) Please help me with some suggestions! Thank you all!

Hello again everyone. I've been working away at trying to improve my painting. Reaper Bones 89001 Pathfinder Red Dragon This is the model that made me place my first Reaper order and get back into painting. I've started using sand for basing again and I really enjoy the fine texture it gives. I tried using sealer to "save" my work a few times on this model but I never ended up removing my mistakes, instead I just painted over them. I think this has left some of the details a bit gloopy (e.g. the horns). Overall I am pretty happy with it but I would love to hear any comments. Once I know he is done I am going to Dullcote him and then put some gloss on his tongue. RAFM Durnaoth Elf Halberds and Ral Partha 03-209 Elf Standard Bearer I bought these off eBay not really knowing what they would end up looking like. I find the standard bearer looks a little goofy (reminds me of the Planescape Torment character models) but I really like the Halberdiers. They were weird to assemble, as they were molded with their right hands attached to their thighs. They had to be cut off and their arms bent into place. I still feel like there is a little something missing. Again, any feedback would be great. I am planning to get some gloss spray (Krylon maybe?) for these guys and then I will dullcote them. I will test that on the standard bearer first. My fiancee wants to set them up with the dragon somewhere in our apartment. Crucible 91-221 Orc Eagle Knights Another eBay purchase where I had little idea what I would be getting. I was really excited to find out that these are orcs with an Aztec spin. They are almost where I want them but I still have a few things left to do. Let me know what you think. Thank you!

Presenting a Kingsman, (magical, bio-mechanical soldiers that guard the Kings Realm from all intruders) from Kingdom Death. Struggled with his inner, light blue cape, I found the folds weird and couldn't get it shaded to my liking, but I think the rest came out nicely. Any comments or criticisms are, as always, greatly appreciated.

Hi, Here is a quick shot of some CAV Halberd I reposed. I like the regular standing straight pose, but I wanted to vary it a bit in my force. So i made one walking with laser extended, and one with a more open stance like taken mid-pivot. The third one is just a minor facing adjustment of the weapons. I'm using the same paint scheme as my Ritterlich force as I will be integrating them into it (which now has to become Merc). And here is a shot of the fully painted Ritterlich + Halberd force (there is 1 outlier Halberd in Camo which was a test scheme... I'm just not sure if I should repaint it). And here is the opposite Malvernis force: I'm pretty much done with painting the EB reward from the CAV SO Kickstarter. There is only the Rach Dictators left to paint, but I haven't figured out a paint scheme yet. So I'm taking a break from Big Stompy Robots for now as I have some fantasy projects in mind... C&C welcome

Hello, Here is a fun project I started to make use of some mis-packed CAV SO Bones Kickstarter rewards. Story: Out of the 32 CAV minis included in the early bird CAV SO Kisckstarter reward, I got 2 mispacked CAV: One Halberd with 2 left arms One Wight with 2 right arms Reaper Support was top notch, and they sent me as a replacement a full Wight and a full Halberd. So I was wondering for a while what to do with those 2 mismatched but FREE minis... ... Then I went Hobby knife crazy and chopped them up... For the Halberd, it was fairly easy to fix the arm as the shoulder pad is identical on front and back. So a quick cut, pin and glue did the trick. I also repositionned it to have a slightly more dynamic stance. For the Wight, there was no way I could make the arm look decent enough for a mini. So I decided to make the wight be in big trouble. Damaged, arm in flame (I have to work on my sculpring) and kneeling down. Seeing those 2 minis like that gave me the idea to make a little Close Combat ending scene. The Wight badly beaten up, arms down and the Halberd about to strike the Coup de Grâce. I then speed painted the models (I wasn't patient enough to do detailed brush work as I wanted to create the scene I had in mind). The Halberd went for a very muted Winter Camo, while the Wight went for a Dark Jungle Camo. I started to add some details to the base and decided to go for a Wintery scenery. That would make sense as the Wintery Halberd clearly has the upper-hand over the Jungle Wight. (Silly Wight, it should have dressed for the weather...) Then I painted, the base, added my own mixture of snow goop, tried my hand at some Object Source Lighting (still have to work on that)... et Voilà ! A tiny CAV Diorama made with Minis that could have ended in the garbage. As usual, comments and suggestion welcome.

Hi all, this is my first post on this forum and I wanted to share my progress on the CAV bones early bird rewards. So here they are: #1 Tiamat: #2 Cougar One is reposed in a more static stance. #3 Assassin #4 Razor #5 Specter #6 Wight One is also reposed (I'm not a bit fan of the running stance for those ones). #7 Halberd (in a quick and dirty speed painted camo) ************************* I also stumbled accross the templates to build a Hercules Dropship in foam core, and I knew that I had to make it. (It was a fun project with my daughter). Here it is fully assembled: And then with details added and a lot of airbrushing: I think it looks quite cool and makes a nice backdrop for my CAV: Comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome.

The colours for the Templar 99th Auxiliary Regiment I'm devising. The transfers on the shoulders haven't worked out as well as I'd hoped, possibly from being pretty old, so I'll probably skip them on any future models.

So here's the second Bones CAV I've finished, a halberd. I ended up borrowing the color scheme from a transformer because I've been reading through a comics backlog. I've left him unglued because the joints are fairly tight and I like being able to twist the torso.

I'm more than a little bit pleased about my latest acquisition, a box of Perry Miniatures War of the Roses Infantry. These guys are true 28mm scale, but will fit right in with most other 28mm model, even the big-head/big-hand Games Workshop "heroics." I've only had time to assemble and paint two of them. Let me know what you think! Questions and comments are always welcome. Thanks for looking (I was going to do a traditional smile face, but this one was too cool to pass up).
