  1. HI Folks, Me and Dave from Bronze Age Minis have a current KS dealing with Adventuring Gnomes, Halflings and Dwarves of the female variety. The is also an incredible female version of the "Fellowship of the Ring" Joe From Dragon Bait..
  2. conceptualized by film industry concept artist Johnny Fraser-Allen, The Rise of the halflings is Printable Scenery's first delve into a brand new fantasy world. After the Great Wyrm devastated the Halfling town of Wollockshire, forcing its residents to hide in the warrens below their homes, the mysterious Great Warlock appeared and tamed the beast using its true name. Becoming the Halfling’s savior, he utilized the knowledge of the Wyrm to shape a new society, crafting Archanical devices fueled by the Wyrm’s own bile to industrialize their world. However, some of the halflings find the Warlocks victory too good to be believed, and have taken to what is left of the forests to lead a resistance to his rule. Johnny has created some amazing and characterful artwork for the world, as well as deep backstories for every building and miniature in the world. Printable Scenery is taking this rich lore and turning them into awesome 3D printable models. With a mixture of incredibly detailed terrain and, for the first time in a Printable Scenery Kickstarter, Awesome looking miniatures, we hope to bring the world of the Reign of Arcane to life!
  3. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/to-the-mummys-tomb-a-halfling-expedition/description Story After the estate of one Fomo Barrowblight (who many moons ago, and with heavily laden bags, had said he was just off for a morning walk, never to return) was sold at auction, there came to light a strange scroll that appeared to be a map of the final resting place of a lost tribe of halflings. These cousins lived down in the scorching Southlands, amidst endless dunes that had buried whole cities and civilisations. The newly elected (and so still very enthusiastic) Halfling Town Council had organised an expedition to make contact with their fellow halflings, with the aim of swapping some stories and recipes, and who knows, perhaps even coming back with some interesting new cakes. And, after many great perils and travails, the expedition found itself in a mysterious location known as 'The Valley of the Things'. Here, recipes in strange hieroglyphs were marked on tomb walls, guarded jealously by High Priests and long mummified pastry chefs. The expedition takes time to assuage the fears of the High Priests that they are here to steal the sacred recipes and make formal diplomatic relations. But Fomo Barrowblight and another mysterious figure seem intent on stealing the recipe to the sacred pie and have already gleaned some of the ingredients... To the Mummy's Tomb! Introducing a series of Eight Fantasy Miniatures in 28mm scale from a halfling expedition to the burial grounds of their cousins, in the desert southlands. Halfling Town Council Five The latest elected Halfling Town Council, has been responsible for launching the expedition to the distant Southlands, as always, it is made up of eight different townsfolk from all walks of life. I've already pledged for the whole set, why haven't you?
  4. When I see this guys I see the halfling answer to Davey Crockett... Another mini painted as part of my December 2020 painting spree. He is the Halflfing Trapper (SKU HTC23) and he is part of the Town Council #4 set from Midlam Miniatures.
  5. Hi Reapertronics! So these are two I've been working on for the last week or so, two really small Tom Meier sculpts from Dark Sword Miniatures, ones from another post on the forum where I was complaining about eyes. Two really fun figures I think, excellently sculpted by Meier. Here's the first one: and a few shots of her face up close. The eyes aren't perfect, but they turned out better than the first try before my repaint: and then here's the male halfling thief. He's nice and basic, with a classic old school feel. He almost gives a Bilbo Baggins type of feel to this is you ask me: and then here they are together: and to give you an idea of their size, I put them next to a few recent reaper models, a few of my favorites, the female hobgoblin archer (metal version with nose) and the other one is one of the dark gnome gals: So anyhoos, lots of photos, hope you enjoy!
  6. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/halflings-gone-bad-volume-two/description Story The world of Alberon, as ancient and unknowable as its timeless depths are, has few certainties for those that live in it, but ruin and corruption awaits all but a blessed few. Halflings are, of course, no exception... The Western Wastelands beyond Midlam are a harsh unforgiving environment, that breeds a fierceness through necessity for survival alone. It is thought that the first halflings to enter the Wastelands, did so unwillingly, captured by Hobgoblin Raiders some several hundred years ago. It is reported that the Hogoblins thought that their small size would make them useful servants for all manner of tasks, but when the monstrous and unstoppable nature of their appetites became apparent, the halflings were stranded in the middle of the wasteland and left them to die. That they didn't is some testament to the hidden reserves and ingenuity of these small folk, but they have not survived unscathed. Their souls, often forsaken to unknowable gods, have changed as much as their bodies and minds. As a counterpoint to the Wasteland halflings, those that inhabit the town have found unusual niches, whether that be as criminal masterminds, pirates, anarchists, grave robbers and the somewhat cliched, but ever problematical, burglars. An Excerpt from 'The Robbit' by The Wizard R.R.R. Gudgrief Welcome to Halflings Gone Bad - Volume One! A collection of sixteen 28mm scale halflings from the wrong side of the elven forest tracks, for all of your fantasy miniature games. Welcome to our second Kickstarter to cover some of the more nefarious occupations and depths that halflings have stooped to. The worrying nature of the appearance of wasteland halflings, something seen as a threat to all halfling civilisation, combined with the new depths of depravity of halflings in Midlam has called for a new town council to be convened from amongst the artisans and workers of Halftown.
  7. A group of fuzzy feet from Stonehaven Miniatures. The Bard: The Mage: Cousin to the Meat Man The Wool Merchant: The Half-Wench: And lastly, why searching for picture references is fun in the age of memes, Moe the Barkeep: (the reference)
  8. Arriving just in time for those quarantine blues, I got in the 2nd set of Imperial Halflings from The Assault Group's recent Kickstarter. A Halfling Noble/Elder of the Moot/the entire reason I backed: "Wash your hands, wash your feet, don't touch your face."

We have our own professional Mail Order facilities, and have completed on over a dozen Kickstarters, for TAG, and for many other small scale mini retailers here in the UK. As always, I'm sure there are a few ways we could cluck this up, but we promise that we'll work really hard, to make this a success, and if we don't you can give us a 'basting' on social media.
  10. Hello :) First time posting some of my painted stuff here, but I'd like some feedback. These two are the halfling sorceress and pirate adventurers from TTCombat's Halflings and Fantasy Friends kickstarter. They're my first resin models, and while fragile, they do have amazing detail. They're painted with vallejo paints, I recently got the vallejo nocturna red and skintone sets. They come with very nice guides as well. The sorceress is meant to be holding some sort of floating light source in her hand, so I tried to shade her with that in mind. The pirate has a teeny monkey peeking out behind her feet :D so cute Cheers, Lihmeth
  11. Have to say I’m quite liking some of these halflings: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2052977442/halflings-and-fantasy-friends?ref=project_build# Just a few pics of some of the minis and concepts. A lot more are on the kickstarter site. Curiously, no women folk though.
  12. My latest project was decided by a combination of the upcoming Blood Bowl team being named in my honor and wanting to do some Wee Folk in time for Saint Patrick's. The Assault Group made a group of lovely Oldhammer styled Halflings that fit the bill. They're painted in a slightly updated version of my original Empire colors. They also had an option for Zombie versions of the Halfling Militia!
  13. Hi! You might remember me from such threads as Bones - will they blend? & Painting with numbers the Laoke Way. I've been away from the paintbrush for a bit, as it's summer here in The Land Of The Future, but recently one of my wife's best friends spawned a delightful little halfling which the doting parental units decided to name Peregrine. I know. Cute as a button! Anyways, as a gift to the little sprogling, she decided to paint up a figure for him - and, while she was at it, she painted up one for our collection at the same time! 77218: Woody Stumpwimple, Halfling Ranger This is the one she painted up for us. I love the freehand on this one! The face is a bit naff from this angle and with the lighting being as basic as it is, but it's much better in person. 89012: Lem, Iconic Bard And here we have Peregrine in all his diminutive glory! She's really happy with the way the face came out on him, and I have to agree - the cloak is also pretty amazeballs!
  14. About Halfling Borderlands Welcome to my latest Kickstarter. Firstly I'll confess my love for OldSchool Miniatures & Tabletop Games. I always wanted a Halfling Army to play with in Warhammer 2nd & 3rd. I never forgave Games Workshop for removing all my favourite Armies, especially Gnomes, Halflings and Hobgoblins. That was one of the main reasons I stuck with 3rd edition Warhammer. Halflings are great for Skirmish games too. I envisioned this Kickstarter to provide some rural Farming Halfling types and the animals that they rear and protect. I worked in conjunction with Langley Miniatures on this Kickstarter. Like the last one, I'm working towards a quick turnaround. Everyone should have their orders by the end of January. I would also like to take the time to personally thank everyone who has supported my sculpting endeavors. Much appreciated. Andy T. 15. Just finished entering the Pirates and Halflings into the database of the new unofficial Army Creator, and ran into a question concerning the halfling datacards... There appears to be 3 variations for the model 03264 (Roderick Ambermead & Dragon) the first one being a "Sky Guard" with the other two being alternates. The Question is: should the alternates be included in the new Army Creator (maybe tagged with "alternate" or "unofficial" on the datacards? or should they be ignored all-together at this point? PS: I realize the faction is a beta, but some of the testers wanted to see it included in the tool, and I really see no reason it should not be. PPS: I did include ALL 6 of the equipment items published in the beta as I figured they can always be deleted later if necessary, plus I could not bring myself to ditch any of them, especially second breakfast - they were all too cool and frankly there is no reason halflings shouldn't get an extra item or two (imho).

  17. Curious if there are any ghouls out there in mini-verse to represent the shorter races like gnomes & halflings. thanks! EDIT: Never fails.... I found one on Heresy's site. It's not a demi-human but it would probably work + they have some other minis that might fill some other rolls as well.
  18. And here we have the last group of miniatures from my recent paint sessions, a village of Halflings from Ganesha Games, for their "Song of Blades and Heroes: Axe and Brimstone" set. The backdrop itself came from the Kickstarter as a game mat, and I'm finding it quite useful for photo-taking! Even if I don't play a 3'x3' game any time soon, I'll have gotten plenty of use out of it. First, we have the whole village, also with Sir Forscale as emergency backup: The most important member of any Halfling grouping, the Cook: The Trapper: The Adventurer, who was an unreached concept in their first KS, "Fightin' Fungi" and one of my favorite of the group: The Assassin: The Village Leader, who I think would make a great Halfling Paladin for a D&D session. I only notice his helmet injury now that I've uploaded this photo and put him in storage with the other Halflings...woops! The set's Halfling Mage. I think he would make a great Monk as well...his pose makes him look like he's about to give out a serious beatdown. Just an Archer: Hungry Jack, who is probably the best concept. It's a tough choice for my favorite of this set of Halflings. I'll need to paint up the old Warhammer Dwarf Adventurer on stilts to keep him company:

  20. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/584137481/tag-28mm-halfling-militia-rooster-rider-miniatures/description I backed TAGs last KS for their Dwarves which went nice and smoothly and has delivered to everybody before the due day (last few shipments just going out but they'll be in peoples hands before June which was the target) The minis were well cast and nice and characterful so if you need some Halfling chicken riders (or just some riding chickens) or some of their existing Halfling militia on foot which can also be selected as a reward get your pledging card out and jump in
  21. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1662635043/halfling-wizards-and-apprentices Look pretty good. The top pledge includes some halflings from their back catalogue. They seem to be making good progress on the ongoing project and the international shipping remains quite cheap.
  22. The last of my recently finished works, a batch of mostly Halflings from Stonehaven's latest Kickstarter. Unfortunately, same with my recently completed Lizardguys, these had a case of fuzzy primer. I had taken several steps to fix it, but the further I got along the more obvious it became. Thankfully, the pictures seem to magnify the situation, and the roughness isn't quite as obvious in person. However, the rest of the batch is soaking in the strip for now. First, we have the titan of the group, the Old Growth Treant: A Berserker, Boar, and combination of both: A Barbarian, actually a refugee from Dragon Bait Miniatures, but he fit this group too well to leave out: The Halfling Thief, who has now had her hood issues readdressed after seeing how this album came out: A pious Paladin named Reed: A fiery-headed Archer who looks quite manic in this close-up, hrm: The Linksman, an athlete prepared for any encounter: A Stablemaster, because we always need some villagers: A Halfling Maiden and pet: Skelly, the Village Elder...and we they say Elder, they aren't messing around:
  23. Reaper Bones Beauty Pageant Jan-Feb 2015 The challenge: 1. paint one of the following Bones figures. 24. Here is a selection of completed Halflings from the Arcworlde Kickstarter. I decided to get these done first as they looked nice and easy. These models are still not available to purchase yet, but a web store will. Be open soon. There are 17 models in total in this batch. First up is the Halfling Captain. Next up the five archers. Some lovely characters in here. 3 swordsmen. And finally a total of eight spearmen. (Some photos are missing for some reason) Enjoy and comments welcome.
  25. I think I am following the guidelines of the board by setting this up as a new thread. I am sure a mod will tell me otherwise at some point. Anyhow this is the first set of Arcworlde models I have got round to painting. I have based them using some milliput and sand. I will add more detail once they are painted. I have taken a few pictures of the full group I am currently painting. As always comments and suggestions welcome.
