  1. This is another Neromunda ganger. I really liked this miniature. It was fun to paint. A lot more detailed than I thought it would be when I ordered. She still needs to be based, but I am out of basing materials for my sci-fi table, and Norway is frozen over for the moment. After seeing these pics, I need to drill the gun, too.
  2. Since Inarah post a end of year painting binge I though I give it a go, but at my pace. She is attempting 20 in 10 days. I'm attempting 3+ in 10 days. Which for me is speed painting. Granted one is over halfway. A second it 90% finished, just working on the base. The third will be the hasslefree's strumpet. So... Um.... Yeah.... Binge painting. The + is any other work I managed to get done on top of those. Here is a shot the strumpet: And here is my current WIP that I hope (or dream) to get finished by Xmas:
  3. Alright this WIP will contain more than a few mins. Most of the time I work on one or two specific projects that have a solid deadline. I started to find that I would get burnt out doing that so I am planning on doing something different this time. While a few of these could be competition entries and a couple are gifts, I plan on working on each a little at a time so I can keep my interest renewed. So on to the victims. Starting with the top left, we have a Gotham Policeman from Knight Models. He is a present for my Dad who is a retired police officer and will be painted in a tan uni
  4. For the month of October I am going to attempt to paint at least 1 hour a day, and only Halloween themed minis. This is my WIP for it. Started a mini last night so I wouldn't have to spend tonight priming. I will not be repainting the same area over and over and over, since that is what makes me get sick of painting a mini and put it on the shame shelf. To start: we have the lovely "Blanche" from Hasslefree, I splurged on the resin master. The base is one of the spooky Halloween ones from Secret Weapon. Primed with nightmare black by reaper, the rest will be Scale75 paints wit nightmare
  5. There's no major theme between this set, other than that they'd make one strange adventuring party. First off we have the LATEST version of Ajaxxus Skiotho, Tiefling Barbarian. I think he's been re-done more times than I've actually played him:
  6. I love these minis. They are from Hasslefree Minis. I choosed a Daphne version with mini-gun instead of a baseball bat. They have also normal versions like in the cartoons of these group.
  7. Mini number 8 completed This is Semira Marise, the last of my Hasslefree minis, made by Kev White, though I'll try and get some different photos of her, as these have come out a tad strange. Paints used... Citadel -White Scar -Kislev Flesh -Khorne Red -Nuln Oil -Seraphim Sepia -Druchii Violet -Blood for the Blood God -Leadbelcher -Runelord Brass -Auric Armour -Caledor Sky? -Mechanicus Standard Grey P3 -Cold Steel -Bloodtracker Brown -Thamar Black -Umbral Umber -Menoth White Highlight I decided to paint her as the dignified priestess, who had perhaps
  8. Also recently completed are a group straight out of the swamp. To start, some group shots, which nicely show how darn tiny the Stonehaven Grippli and Hengoyokai are.
  9. A few months ago I attended a little two-day workshop, which was hosted by a talented Swedish commission painter named Martin Lindblom (http://amongtheway.com). This little event was sooo much fun for me, it's actually the first time I've ever painted in the company of others, and I'll certainly try to attend more of these types of things in the future. The workshop was centered mostly around two themes: "NMM" and "skin tones", and everyone got to bring their own mini. I chose Wolf, a mostly naked dude with a big sword from Hasslefree Miniatures. This was the first time I attempted NMM, an
  10. A week or so ago, I ordered two of HassleFree's succubi, and they arrived yesterday. I think they're rather delightful and their faces are a lot more attractive in person than they are on their site, and they also reminded me strongly of the succubi from the Witcher saga... As such, I decided to paint them in a similar style =] and this means I had the joy of working out how to paint on their lovely tattoos. Now, for me, that's a hella lot of lines, and I wasn't at all sure I could fit those on a 28mm succubus, so I toned it down a bit and simplified, but still kept them in m
  11. Hi ! Just a little commision work for friend :
  12. This is other diorama I did for ReaperCon. This is a sequel to a diorama I entered called "Shopping" which was inspired by a WWII photograph taken in Villars Bocage during the Normandy invasion. Unintentionally it used the same three female troopers I picked out for this one. The dumpster is from Armorcast and comes two to a pack. A couple of minis were sacrificed to get the boots. The brickwork is from an O Scale modular wall set from DPM (I think), the sidewalk is S scale from Bar Mills Models and everything else is scratchbuilt. This one featured my first attempt at graffiti and though
  13. Hasslefree's Lenore (HF087) as Sheila, the Thief from the Dungeons & Dragons Animated Series. As always, C&C welcome!
  14. Another one I finished before coming out here, where I can't paint: Hasslefree's Blanche (resin master). As always, C&C welcome!
  15. I wanted to share this mini. It's among my top ten favorite miniatures that I have gotten. Just so morbid and horrible. In the style of the Braindead movie. :) Linked offsite due to a nipple showing. See it here.
  16. A while ago I painted up a miniature to represent one of my buddies character in our Pathfinder game (link). The character is Fidrak, an Abyssal Bloodrager, which basically means he's a barbarian who draws his strength and rage from the demonic blood in his veins. Now one of the quirks of this demonic blood is that when the character reaches 4th level, he will be able to increase in size (as per the enlarge person spell) whenever he enters a rage (in other words... HULK ANGRY!!!). I therefore decided to paint up a mini to represent this bigger, better and badder version of the character. T
  17. My first Hasslefree miniature, Benn. Sculpted by Kev White. I saw this guy and immediately feel in love. Was a very fun mini to paint, and I was happy with how he came out. Another likely to be based later and left sitting on a white tab. Me no bueno. Thanks for looking. Feel free to, you know, stuff.
  18. Here is my first attempt to paint up a Hasslefree Miniature. I painted the Hasslefree Barwench up to add another figure to my fantasy villagers. I also gave her head band a try at freehand. And here we go: Thanks for any C&C you feel inspired to give.
  19. A co worker of mine is a huge Elvis fan. So I made this for his collection. Uhuhuh, you'd better like muh songs...
  20. In the interest of expanding my collection of painted miniatures I decided to paint up one of my Hasslefree miniatures. I need to finish up her highlights on her arms and blend a little more. Here is where I'm starting the WIP from.
  21. Here is Hasslefree's Kitty mini that I intended to enter into a Hasslefree contest last year, but work got in the way. Her arm fell off twice and the first time I glued it back on I got glue all over her stomach area, so that also dampened my enthusiasm on finishing her on time. I think the jeans turned out nice, the skin, not so much.
  22. Hasslefree's Gwen (HFH074) for your enjoyment: As always, C & C welcome!
  23. Started and finished today, I present Hasslefree's Kain: As always, c & c welcome!
  24. I finished this one off today. Elapsed time about 5 hours. She's the test subject for uniform colors on one of my upcoming dioramas.
  25. That's what Wikipedia tells me, in no uncertain terms. So, here it is. I have a large selection of miniatures that would make excellent Rogues (or Thieves, for us old schoolers), and I mean to get them painted. First up, we have a trio of Bushido minis for another Were-Fox character concept. A seductress, who's no stranger to fighting: Saki, Kitsune, and Fox Form: Next, is the amazing Dark Sword Female Assassin: Next up Eskin, Male Rogue: Then Vesper-On's The Duke: Gretchen vonKonigsmark from Raging Heroes will make an appe
