Thankfully this was a 2 part model. Unfortunately, I made it 3 pieces by breaking the sword off while I was basing. Shaking head in disappointment. I hate that about resin.

This little guy is going to a friend. The example on the Dark Sword website has his hat as a weird helmet and the dagger as metal. I saw the hat as a silly hat, and the dagger as a pair of porcupine quills. I attempted to get the fur/prickles roughly accurate for a hedgehog, which means that the back has really severe shading - the base is dark on their prickles, but with pale tips. I also freehanded a little slogan on the hat strap. Oh! And his knapsack strap only extends across his front. No cloak for it to be under in the back.... and there was no strap. So I attempted to green-stuff a back strap for his bags so that it made sense. He was fun and cute.

Alright so I finally made time to take some photos of my beauty. I must give a big shout out to all the forum members who helped me even those who helped cheer me on in the WIP thread. Thank you all. The sheer fabric was a tough one for me and I think she looks a bit better in hand than the photos but alas that is typically the case. Here is the link to the WIP with some photos that show the sheer effect a bit better for anyone who may have missed it.http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/60313-marsyas-first-attempt-at-sheer-cloth-50188-sleeping-beauty-warning-lots-of-pics/?hl=%2Bsleeping+%2Bbeauty And here are a few pictures of the finished piece with a few of Reapers Critters as well. I plan to bring her to ReaperCon even if just to show Rhonda Bender as her class at Gen Con inspired me to attempt the sheer cloth, and of course for her critiques. You can kinda see the hedgehog I hid on her base in this shot but only his snout. Once again Thank you all for your input and help and I look forward to meeting some of you in just a few days.

I could use some help pushing this forward. I have just about reached the end of what I am willing to do with this piece. But I really want to make it better. The concept is an adventuring party stumbles on a pool on the beach and everyone cautiously approaches, well almost everyone. There is always someone in the party who just has to provoke the easy kill. All done with DSM critters. I still plan to add some beach grasses and with the pictures, I can see some blending and touch up issues but I would really welcome some critique on where I can improve these guys. Between work travel and some medical issues I haven't had the time to paint that I would like and my entries are reduced The pieces are in their pin holes but not attached yet as I'm still messing around with positioning. If closeups are helpful I can still take them Thanks for any advice you care to share! Roo

Here is a trio of unicorns from Otherworld Miniatures (Wilderness Encounters 19). The hedgehog is from 2969: Familiar Pack VIII.
