I've been working on these guys throughout the week...just finished them up last night. I really like how the blue and red guys turned out. I'm not as impressed by the green guy. But...I had hit that point where I just wanted to be done with him and move onto something else. I may get another crack at him at some point...I can definitely see myself eventually painting up a second set of these guys. They're a fun little group. Moe: Larry: Curly:

Some quick table top painting on these guys; they'll see use as imps in Frostgrave. I hope you like 'em.

Not all was peace and quiet in the forest. Lately a group of little demons had infested the place. These Imps, Hordlings or whatever they were called, harassed the little animals, the fairies and they damaged the trees and the mushrooms. Even the Grand Mushroom watched in horror how they terrorized the Forest, but he could do nothing. One day the Imps captured one of the fairies and beat her up. She could barely escape and she fled crying. Almost leaving the forest, she came by a small dirt road, and she noticed a cart coming. Quickly she hid between the bushes. A wizard passed by, contemplating his latest spells, a cart filled with supplies. The donkey pulling the cart, was in no hurry it seemed. Slowly it passed by. The fairy looked at the cart, she sneaked into the back. The wizard didn't notice the little fairy rummaging through his supplies, he was too caught up in his spells. Suddenly the fairy noticed a bottle, the label said: Gigantic Growth. Feeling her blood rising to her cheeks she stole the bottle and hopped off the cart. She went back into the forest. The Imps saw her coming and started laughing. Clearly this one hadn't had enough! The fairy drank the potion, all of it, and in a moment she started to grow. One Imp said...this can't be good! The next moment the fairy had her revenge, she trampled the first Imp into the ground and chased the others. Even the Grand Mushroom felt sorry for the Imps now! These three little guys were painted this morning before I went to work. I have had them sitting on my desk for about a month, just looking at me begging for some color. So, this morning, I decided to make it happen. They are going to represent some imps for a couple of NPCs I have in an upcoming game, and will function very similar to the three stooges. I am really looking forward to dropping them on the table. Hope you enjoy! CAH

I really have far too many miniatures. At least 20, and with a further 20 inbound from the 20 kickstarters I have backed the last few years. So for 2016 I will try to crank out those minis at an elevated pace, and chalk up an even 366 -one for each day - finished by the end of the year. Of course, this means that to avoid spamming the excellent reaper forums with samey, production-line dross nobody really wants to see, I will not be posting each and every one done here even though the rpchallenge says I should. Instead I will post Reaper minis and maybe some other that I find interesting enough. The rest will get pictures linked to the rpchallenge monthly post for anybody who might be interested. Time to unwind with some smaller demons: The last two out of the three Hordlings from the second Bones Kickstarter. These were experiments with differently coloured inks, to compare the effects vs the transparent ones. Here is the first one, that I painted last year. Just for completeness sake: and then the question does present itself: Why on Earth did I base this one on a square 20mm base and the two others on round 30mm bases? It boggles the mind!

May already! For this months resolutionary challenge I am going to try to get some miniatures done! The list will be in the challenge thread post. However, I will have very limited free time this month, so I think any I actually manage to finish will be counted as a win! At any rate, as per the resolutionary painting challenge guidelines, I will post them here, and link in my post in the challenge thread (when the thread gets started that is). BOO! Arn't I scary? Mike Wazowski before he succumbed to the enlarged eye syndrome. fun and simple. 20mm base.

So a neat thing happened to me on my way back from classes today... What was it? Oh, nothing major... just my BONES II, motherhuggers! See? It was full of lovelies inside, including this, which I am framing: Cool, right? So what's an Aard to do? Well, even before looking at it all, I wanted to paint! So, I ripped open one of my cores and one each of the expansions and chose what I wanted to start with... From Expansion One! I liked these guys (and the zombies) so much that I tore into my second expansion to get at the rest! More needed, deffo! I just did three layers - dark red, light red, and wash - but they're just for gaming, so no biggy... added nice blue eyes and teeth, and some pointy hooves! Gotta come up with a way to base these... might go for the D&D prepaint method of the plain black disc, tho... Speaking of zombies... The remaining two are done as well, but have fallen behind my desk and I'm too sore to get them out! Still, for speedy things they came out fine. I was waiting to blood them up until I decided if I liked it, but I think I do... it adds something, IMO... Last but not least, my favorite of the night... The Brass Bull! Super quick paint job (brown, gold, light gold) with a matte dark brown for horns and hooves. Took like a half hour, mainly due to it's size, but came out looking the best of the lot... This figure's not hard at all. I'll do the next one silver, I think, but I'll probably wind up with a fleet of these, too... they have to be in pairs, see, and I want an underwater one... and a lava cow'd be neat... maybe add wings? Anyways, nothing but speedpaints tonight. I was tired and lazy... I'll open things up and see what's around tomorrow. I'm thinking giants?
