  1. Started assembling this guy, the horn got glued on wrong so I had to separate it and reposition. Still going to greenstuff the gaps but got these pics to check the positioning of the horn.
  2. This is Dracula from Bad Squiddo Games' "My Last Sunrise" collection, an assortment of vampires, vampire hunters, and a few auxiliaries which was released in a very brief Kickstarter last summer. Annie, the Dice Bag Lady, runs fun Kickstarters. The three vampire brides I painted last month are from the same set. I don't have a WIP for him. Questions and comments appreciated.
  3. Final part of the Black Goat faction down. Tell me what you guys think!
  4. Just finished the Mi-Go from the black goat faction and thought I would put up pictures of them and the cultists and ghouls I finished before. C&C always appreciated!
  5. Alright so finished Shub Niggurath of the Black Goat faction for Cthulhu Wars. I think she turned out well, and this is probably the most success I've had with highlighting so far. Pretty happy with her. WIP here:
  6. So got my first airbrush yesterday and was messing about figuring out how to use it. Today I had my first attempt at basecoating and basic shading with it. Dont think I have the dilution quite right, but I'm not sure which way to go. C&C appreciated! 5
  7. Finished the last of the Yellow Sign faction, got a group pic that I'm gonna upload later but these are the final wave! WIP thread:
  8. This broccolien guy, I swear. I go to paint the bandages on him and I'm like wait that's not a bandage, that's a tentacle. So I painted the bandages I could make out and the skin the same color, planning on doing something with the skin later, maybe a touch of grey. I have no idea where I'm gonna start with the tentacular mass. What the even broccoli.
  9. So I could probably have touched up the upper carapace of these guys a bit, added some more highlights, I don't think there's quite enough contrast on most of them, but I need to get these guys done and I still have the undead to do. So I varnished them and I think they turned out pretty well. C&C always appreciated!
  10. Started Cthulhu Wars for a friend today and I think I need some help with the Yellow Sign cultists. I'm starting with the robes and I feel like something went wrong somewhere along the line, not sure exactly how to fix it. Base coated black, then drybrushed ochre through yellow, then went back through glazing ochre through yellow. Maybe a dark brown wash will help. Could use some help.
  11. So I've got this big boy looking pretty good, Just airbrush, gloss, dark purple wash, and touched up the eyes. Planning on doing the iris' and some light reflection off the black bobbles, also doing the mouth and ear-mouths (?) a dark red. I'm scared to do anything else but Since it's the Yellow Faction, I'd like to have some yellow highlights. I feel that Dry-brushing would be too violent, and I'm not sure how to start with layering such a different color. Any Suggestions much appreciated!
  12. Hi all! Thought I'd share this sweet little Kickstarter (sorry if it already has been shared). Only runs for a few days and is meant to start shipping at the end of the month (they already have the master molds). Thought the price is very reasonable and the minis really interesting. I got the good guys only pack ^^ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1512506318/my-last-sunrise-gothic-horror-28mm-miniatures/posts/1964783
  13. My friend Larissa had to move back to her parents in a small town while this gets worked on, because of her laptop getting fried by bad rental situations in the big city. If you want more than what's currently on the website, you can probably still find her comic the Scares (#1 only) and webcomic Pet Sock (on Bloody Disgusting), but there's lots of video. Anyway, I've enjoyed the episodes and promos online, and now they're crowd-funding for a more serious stab at this project. I'm excited about the inclusion of Steve Kostanski (Astron 6, The Void, Portal to Hell) for effects. I've supported a previous film project by the producer (Impossible Horror) which had really bad communication (no updates for a year, and I still haven't seen anything), but the creators have more of a social media presence and this is a serial, which should have shorter turn-around. This is a web series about people writing a horror movie. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/allie-lara-make-a-horror-movie#/
  14. I Like my weird fiction. This promises to be a good, though dude heavy in the announced authors, anthology in that vein. Inspired by TV shows like Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, & Outer Limits. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/test-patterns-a-weird-fiction-anthology-fantasy-horror#/ 3 options: digital, paperback, limited hardcover.
  15. Fighting Evil. Saving the World. Punching the Clock. An anthology horror comedy series from the team who brought you THE GAMERS. Picture Men In Black with demons, and the wonderful humour we have come to love from their other projects. The first episode is done, and can be viewed here:
  16. As suggested by @Pezler the Polychromatic and @Xherman1964, and inspired by ultrasquid's design, I present to you all my rainbow landshark... $kittlez! Soon $kittlez will be sent out to hunt down a party of foolish adventurers in my 5e campaign, but before he does he wanted to stop by the forums to say hello! -E.E.
  17. I've just comp'leted another model for my Malifaux Neverborn crew: Very quick paintjob, as usual, I have aimed just to a nice tabletop quality. Unable to decide on painting what’s on her hands as skin or as a towel, I chose a color similar to the skin tone, but lighter. So it could be both… Once finished, I alternated matte and gloss coat, to give contrast between skin and skinless parts. I think it looks nice. More pics: https://gabbigames.wordpress.com/2016/08/12/neverborn-doppelganger/ Comments will be welcome :)
  18. So my husband wants to run a Horror RPG, which none of us has done before. We kicked around whether to use an existing character creation system such as Champions or Vampire The Masquerade to run a homebrew, but I was thinking it might be better to just get a horror RPG that already exists. This is wholly in the "what if" stage, so we're not certain if we will be playing monsters, fighting monsters, or something in between. I did some random looking around on Amazon, but of course the blurbs are all "hey this is great, buy it" with not a lot of customer reviews. Does anyone have advice on a non-specific horror RPG systems that are self contained? We are wanting something that people could potentially play most any sort of supernatural being, as opposed to say a Cthulu adventure. Ideally we'd like a book that has character creation and gaming system, whether or not it has some pre-cut adventure ideas is secondary. A couple I found that looked decent best I could tell are D6xD6 Role-Playing Game: Expanded Edition by Lester Smith and Ghostories: Supernatural Mystery Roleplaying by Brett Bernstein and others. Has anyone used these?
  19. I am sending my players into a realm of nightmares, in an upcoming game. So, I decided to paint some classic nightmares, and this evil clown fit the bill nicely.

  21. I see that I need another colour background. The red colour washed out the miniature a bit:
  22. I have finally completed my Dark Debts crew for Malifaux :) Jakob Lynch and Hungering Darkness The Illuminated A Beckoner and Mr. Graves Looking forward to comments and criticism! More (and larger) pics: https://gabbigames.wordpress.com/2015/11/01/malifaux-neverborn-dark-debts/
  23. A giant armored predator that swims under the ground. You'd think it would be drab and dusty, resembling the stones and earth from which it springs forth. Well, not this one. more large images: See the process of painting this in the WIP thread
  24. After seeing so many other lovely, albeit drab, takes on this model, I figured I'd do something to make mine stand out. Here, base-coated and a little crude shading under the dorsal plates: And a bit later, with the dorsal plates painted. There may be some tweaks after this, but that's pretty much it for the back. On to the flanks, legs, and face!
  25. Started painting mine. I was going for a blue fellow, but with his armor scuffed up and stained with the earth he burrows through
