  1. Kathud !!! I finished another Dark Sword Miniature this afternoon. I got some upsetting news, so I painted it off, intead of letting it bother me. So, with that said... This is a HEAP OF FUN to paint. I actually did it twice. When I looked at number 1 I liked it, but it was boring. So I got out the paints AGAIN, and figured out another paint scheme. I based my second set of painting on "Night Watch", and that is what is here. Very complicated Sculpt to paint, and get into. Multi level highlighting also makes the brush work that more complicated. 28mm is SMALL, so keep tips well pointed ! Do have fun, its worth it on this one. Comments (negative or positive) are greatly appreciated ! Here he is: Jay
  2. Ever since I saw this mini I have wanted to paint it. I was given it as a gift. I hope that the giver has noticed the hours of pleasure I have enjoyed bringing this figure to life. Tough, and challenging, and yet SOO rewarding. The image of a dragon always appears in my mind associated with lava, smoke and treasure. So I decided to challenge myself (like the figure isn't enough), to create a lava base. Your comments and criticism are always welcomed, and sought after. Please leave me a comment ! So here is my interpretation of the Dragonkin Rogue. I also created a WIP while I was doing this. It is located here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69750-dragonkin-rogue-dsm7455/
  3. I have been itching to do this mini since I saw it in the catalogue, and then my son sent it to me ! Now that I have done a Tom Meier miniature again, I have earned the pleasure of painting this one. I did a slight mod when I was assembling it. I did not like the right arm so low to the ground, looked like he was running, I raised the arm up so that he looks like he is fighting. I think it has a bit more tension in it. Here is "The Dragonkin Rogue" prior to priming or adding brown liner. Just a couple of views. Some of these details are VERY shallow, almost hints. I love the folds in the materials. I am thinking of some rich, and deep blues in those shadows, and lighter blues for highlights. Beyond that, strap on your seat belts.
