  1. I really love this sculpt and the orcs from Shieldwolf in general. Aaand I still have PLENTY to paint up. The cloak was much more challenging than I initially expected, but I am happy with how it turned out. The effect on the base isn't quite as awesome as I imagined but it didn't turn out too badly. Again, not sure what caused the little white dots.
  2. This is the barbarian from the first Star Hat Miniatures KS. I painted him up as a Goliath, so I made the mini's hair part of the cloak. Not sure what caused the little white dots in editing.
  3. My first mini of the year! I had my eye on this one for a while and it did not disappoint. C&C welcome. Enjoy
  4. The last minis I painted last year. I think they turned out pretty well, though I should have sealed them. C&C welcome. Enjoy
  5. Your move adventurers! YOUR! MOVE!
  6. For once I think this mini looks better on camera. It is more blue in person. Still I am pretty happy with it. All the "black" bits are nmm. It gets better each try
  7. When I first ordered the 4 identical figures I am pretty sure they were the only bugbear sculpts available. Somewhere along the line I decided to pick up the others as well. These will ensure I am not lacking bugbears in my D&D games for sure. However I would still like a ranged figure or two, and a shaman at some point. 77232: Mogg, Bugbear Warrior 77231: Rugg, Bugbear Leader 77233: Kegg, Bugbear Hunter 77015: Bugbear Warrior
  8. I have to admit I like these orcs quite a bit now that they are painted. They painted up quick and easy. They are more shiny here than in person, but maybe I will use this as an excuse to use some of the matte sealer I got in my last order. They will do nicely for D&D, at least until my Shield Wolf Orcs get here 77056: Orc Sniper x2 77042: Orc Marauder 77059: Orc Berserker 77051: Orc Stalker 77064: Kavorgh, Orc Warboss
  9. Here are my new were-rats! I wanted to have more than melee so I did a lazy conversion by grabbing some GW zombie bits with spears. I stuck a wooden bead over the spear part and filled it with supper glue. A little paint and viola not to shabby (for the table anyway). I cleaned up the bases a bit after picture time as well . I am working on a scenario with a cult of were-rats worshiping ZBP Abominarat. Should be fun .
  10. I had fun painting this one. He will look great on the board, and will definitely be making appearances on DnD nights.
  11. Loved painting this one as well. It too will be making appearances on DnD nights. I am really pleased with the blackish armor I did on him. It is a great mini to practice blacks on, and I have one more to practice on still
  12. These two were from last month but I had some technical difficulties with the background. I did one up as grey ooze and the other as an ochre jelly.
  13. Some town guards to keep those pesky adventurers in line. Sorry for the pics, I almost forgot to post these in time so they were rushed. Edit: In all their sloppy glory!
  14. A quick paint and my first real basing experience. I used green stuff and a Happy Seppuku stamp. I am happy with how they turned out and I learned a lot in the process. The kobolds are nothing special, just cannon fodder for some pesky adventurers.
  15. I have had this one on my desk for a while and finally just went for it. I am going to use it to represent gas spores and shriekers on the table.
  16. I really enjoyed painting this one. It has been mostly done for a while, but I finally did the finishing touches and based it as well. Can't wait to use it
  17. I have to say these survivors turned out great! C&C Welcome! I hope you enjoy them as much as I am! Sampson Silas Ann Baldric Nelly Clovis
  18. March wasn't a very productive month of painting for me. I blame a certain robot dlc release from one of my favorite game series . I was fortunate to have gotten a good start on this group early in the month. So for March RPC, goblins! C & C welcome
  19. My latest fix order arrived, and I was sick of painting gnolls. A very quick paint of some rats and rat swarms.
  20. Man I have really been slacking on getting these minis posted. Last one for tonight, I promise. Enjoy edit: So I have to admit I got a little exited playing with new toys last night and rushed the picture process. But I just wasn't happy with how dark they turned out. After another read through of the Miniatures Photography 101 I think I did a much better job today. Now You can see all the detail good and bad! Still my favorite. Any tips on painting orbs?
  21. My first dragon. A little practice for KS3! Enjoy edit: So I have to admit I got a little exited playing with new toys last night and rushed the picture process. But I just wasn't happy with how dark they turned out. After another read through of the Miniatures Photography 101 I think I did a much better job today. Now You can see all the detail good and bad!
  22. A couple more firsts on this guy with the gems and the base. And I had a lot of fun painting him. Enjoy edit: So I have to admit I got a little exited playing with new toys last night and rushed the picture process. But I just wasn't happy with how dark they turned out. After another read through of the Miniatures Photography 101 I think I did a much better job today. Now You can see all the detail good and bad!
  23. Another that I have been working on. Enjoy edit: So I have to admit I got a little exited playing with new toys last night and rushed the picture process. But I just wasn't happy with how dark they turned out. After another read through of the Miniatures Photography 101 I think I did a much better job today. Now You can see all the detail good and bad! I had some focusing issues trying to get them both in one shot, so I have a shot of each instead.
